Article rating: 4.5

As I said earlier, Lebedev was a creative child. This quality only grew stronger with age.

After he was expelled, he became a student of Arkady Troyanker, at that time he was the art director of “Weekly Magazine” and “Itogi” and a famous illustrator and graphic designer. Troyanker still claims that Lebedev was his best student.

It was then that Artemy began to show his talent for design. And already at the age of 17, the young designer managed to come up with and implement his first project, and his parents did not help financially during this period of his life.

A little later, in the summer of 1992, our hero and his partner founded a project to develop the “A-square” design. But he worked for a short time: only until the end of the year.

And a year later, Artemy opens his own company called “Artographics”. By the way, the designer came up with the name himself. To attract clients, Lebedev created a portfolio with completed orders from non-existent clients. He created designs for books and magazines. And he was the only employee of his company who did absolutely everything: he accepted the order himself and dealt with it from start to finish.

At the same time, he worked part-time as art director of the MakTsentr company.

Childhood of Artemy Lebedev

Artemy Andreevich was born on February 13, 1975. Artemy Lebedev has intelligent parents . Artemy Lebedev’s mother is writer and TV presenter Tatyana Tolstaya, Artemy Lebedev’s father is philologist-professor Andrei Lebedev. His ancestors are not only Russian, but also Greek. The family tree on the maternal side included the outstanding writer Alexei Tolstoy and Valentin Lebedev, Colonel General.

Working as a designer and publicist is a natural choice for a person. Even as a child, he was a creative person and composed, no more and no less, logos from the initials of his peers.

Before school, Artemy's parents raised him themselves, but this did not influence his love of education in a positive way. In elementary school, he managed to change three schools, because he was not diligent and was expelled for absenteeism.

In 1989, the Lebedevs left for America , where Artemy went to the Parkville school in Baltimore. Leaving the country and a radical change in conditions only turned the teenager more against school and, at the same time, American life.

Artemy Lebedev left the USA and returned home alone. There he entered the humanities class at school No. 57, and then to Moscow State University to train as a journalist. This profession was not a vocation, it simply had the lowest passing grade. The attitude towards studies did not change at all, and the young man was expelled from the second year.

Although Lebedev was indeed in the hospital, he called the information about his injury a duck []. Some bloggers considered the incident a PR campaign [], [].

Since 2009, Lebedev has collaborated with the Perm Center for Design Development (PCRD) project, which was supported by the governor of the Perm region Oleg Chirkunov. The designer developed a logo for the city of Perm in the form of a large red letter “P”; by the end of the same year it became known that he became the art director of the Center [], [], [].

On July 27 of the same year, the Moscow Meshchansky Court ordered the designer to remove cartoons with the Aeroflot logo and negative reviews about the company’s work from the blog, and also to compensate her for legal costs in the amount of 34 thousand rubles. Career in design of Artemy Lebedev

After studying at the university, Artemy began to study with the art director of Itogi Arkady Troyanker, an excellent designer. In this field, Lebedev showed his talents and the ability to master the design direction.

Already at the age of 17, Artemy did not need the help of his parents to found his first design business project, thanks to which he reached a high level of the profession in Russia and abroad.

In 1992, the first design studio was founded together with a partner. However, due to the desire for greater independence, Artemy Lebedev abandoned this project a year later and in 1993 founded his own printing studio “Artographics”, which based its activities on publishing magazines and books. At the same time, he began working as an art director at MakTsentr, strengthening his creative professionalism.

In 1995, the WebDesign studio was founded, in 1998 it was renamed the Artemy Lebedev Studio. At this time, he began to be perceived as “the first designer of the Russian Internet.” At first, Artemy created a design project for $3 thousand, made at home. Then he earned $30 thousand and was able to rent an office and hire employees, who increased the turnover to $100 thousand.

By the beginning of the 2000s, Artemy Lebedev Studio had become a major project. Now clients began to meet among the largest brands and companies. The designs and logos were recognized all over the world.

Among Artemy Andreevich’s works is the development of the design of the Optimus keyboard with displays inside the buttons.

Brief information

The famous entrepreneur, despite the lack of higher education, has been successfully engaged in business since the age of 17. Lebedev has a rather interesting biography. Artem was born into a family of hereditary intellectuals. His mother is the famous writer Tatyana Tolstaya, and his father is a professor in the field of philology Andrei Lebedev. Already in his school years, he was distinguished by unconventional creative thinking. Lebedev's old school friends recall that:

  • Artemy was bored in class;
  • he loved to draw and often came up with emblems and logos with their initials for his comrades;
  • Lebedev was considered a careless student and was often scolded for absenteeism;
  • Artem was a well-read and erudite boy, but did not like the strict framework of the school curriculum.

The future millionaire took his first steps in business at the age of 17, meeting the artistic director of Itogi. Arkady Troyanker introduced the talented young man to the fascinating world of design and graphics, and then explained how he could make money from it. In 1992, Lebedev opened his own web design studio.

This is interesting! After graduating from school, young Artem did not know where to go for a long time. Finally, he decided to enter the journalism department of Moscow State University due to a low passing score. The newly minted student decided that it was not necessary to attend lectures and seminars, and already in his second year he was expelled.

In 2020, Artemy surprised his Facebook subscribers by announcing from his official page that he had become a father for the 10th time. According to the designer, he is now responsible for 4 daughters and 6 sons from infancy to 22 years. Many readers of Lebedev's blog doubted the veracity of this information.

Artemy became the author of a diet that helped him lose 20 kg in six months. Previously, his weight was 103 kg with a height of 180 cm. The essence of the diet is simple: reduce the expected portion of the product by half or more.

Personal life of Artemy Lebedev

At the request of Artemy Lebedev, children and wives, little can be found.

Artemy's personal life is hidden from everyone. The designer does not like to talk about things that are not related to his professional activities.

Artemy Lebedev ’s ex- is journalist Marina Litvinovich, who gave birth to her first child, Savva, in 2001. But they did not get along with each other within the framework of family life and divorced. The media said that Lebedev then had three more children, although he did not confirm this.

How many wives did Artemy Lebedev have? How many children does Artemy Lebedev have ? Artemy Lebedev's family like ?

Former wife of Artemy Lebedev - Marina Litvinovich

The designer’s ex-wife is called “a woman of the new generation.” The ex-wife is a public figure, political strategist, journalist, human rights activist, member of the executive committee of the “Other Russia” coalition.

Marina was born into an intelligent family, where she was instilled with a love of knowledge, books, and theater. The girl did well at school, easily entered Moscow State University, and then entered a French college in the sociology department.

Later, Artemy’s wife, Marina, became a graduate student majoring in political science. At the same time, Litvinovich is mastering Internet technologies.

All subsequent activities of the advanced lady are related to politics, information analytics and network resources.

At one time, Lebedev’s ex-wife, Litvinovich, worked for Boris Nemtsov, Kiriyenko, Khakamada, Khodorkovsky, Nevzlin, Kasparov and other liberals. She was attacked and beaten twice because of her political activities.

Today she is actively involved in the development of the Fund for Assistance to Victims of Terror, the founder and director of which in Russia and Israel is Litvinovich herself.

Her powers include organizing charity auctions and events, as well as advocating for the rights of victims.

Being the official wife of Lebedev, in 2001 Litvinovich gave birth to baby Savva. In total she has three sons from different marriages.

Judging by the blogger’s worldview, the reason for the divorce of Artemy and his wife Marina was a divergence of interests. The girl plunged headlong into politics, but the designer avoided such topics.
