Kandelaki’s mother announced the terrible diagnosis as soon as she saw her potential son-in-law. Elvira Georgievna worked as a narcologist and knew almost all Tbilisi drug addicts by sight. Naturally, the parent forbade her daughter to communicate with this guy, but Tina did not let up.

“From the proud Carmen, I suddenly turned into Juliet,” explains the TV presenter. — She suffered, she hid. Mom talked about impotence and the fact that drug addicts will not have children. And if they are born, they are sent to the Kunstkamera so that others will be discouraged. Thank God, all the relatives on the other side were happy. I arrived and was immediately escorted to his bedroom.

One day, when Vakhtang’s parents were not at home, Tina came to visit. The guy sat his beloved on the bed and went to the bathroom. He was gone for half an hour, and when he came out, Kandelaki saw blood - Vakhtang tried to inject the dose, but the needle broke and damaged the vein. “On that day, a war began between me and heroin for my loved one,” Kandelaki recalls. “Vakhtang gave up, got angry, stopped calling, hung up, yelled at her not to call again, and disappeared.
