Pyotr Sergeevich Rykov is a man of versatile talents. A translator by training, in the past he shone on world catwalks, tried himself as a presenter, but still settled on acting - to the delight of thousands of TV viewers who admired his talent and charisma in such projects as “Bloody Lady”, “Optimists”, "Jackal" etc.
Childhood and adolescence
Pyotr Rykov grew up in Smolensk, where his mother, a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics, moved from Veliky Novgorod after a divorce from his father. She was incredibly lucky with her son - from an early age Petya was an independent and obedient child, he rode the bus to kindergarten, helped his mother with housework and did not cause her any trouble. His mother, an avid theatergoer, often took him to performances.
He became interested in music early and entered a music school, and then a college, where he mastered playing the classical guitar. But after the third year, he abruptly changed direction and took the documents to the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Smolensk Humanitarian University, deciding to engage in literary translations.

One day during the holidays, the young man went to visit friends in Moscow and unexpectedly received an offer to participate in a photo shoot for a fashion magazine. Returning to Smolensk, Peter often recalled this shooting, for which he was paid one hundred dollars. For 2003, this was a lot of money, so by the end of his fourth year, Rykov decided to move to Moscow and start a fashion business.
He transferred to the capital's humanities university and began knocking on the doors of modeling agencies in search of work. His efforts were not in vain, and soon the young man was offered a tempting contract abroad. Having finally received a diploma as a translator-linguist, he bought a ticket to Milan and set off to conquer the world's podiums.
Realizing the adventurous nature of this idea, he first entered German Sidakov’s drama school to test his strength and listen to new sensations. At the same time, he tried his hand at TV: in 2007 he became the host of the talent show “STS Lights a Superstar” together with Tina Kandelaki and Artem Dushkin.
Convinced that he was on the right path, 28-year-old Peter became a student at VGIK, from which he successfully graduated by 2014. Peter studied under the mentorship of Igor Yasulovich.
Actor career
Already in his second year at VGIK, Peter began to appear on the stage of the Pushkin Theater, where he serves to this day. His acting credits include leading roles in the plays “Measure for Measure,” “The Lady with Camellias,” “Christmas,” and “The Great Magic.”
While studying at VGIK, Peter became friends with the son of the famous director and director of Mosfilm Karen Shakhnazarov, Ivan. Thanks to a new friend, who willingly invited Rykov to his projects, he managed to quickly “show up” in cinema, and his model appearance and undoubted acting talent made him a favorite of millions of television viewers in a matter of years.
Rykov’s first filming experience was Ivan Shakhnazarov’s black-and-white short film “Without Words.” He made his debut in the “big cinema” in 2011 - and immediately with Nikita Mikhalkov, in his film “Burnt by the Sun-2”. True, the role was in the crowd, his name did not appear in the credits, and the film itself received mostly negative reviews.
But very quickly, in the filmography of Pyotr Rykov, bright, memorable roles appeared in the films “Fighters”, “The Habit of Parting”, the series “Ship” from STS, the Russian-Latvian series “Quest” with Pavel Priluchny and Agata Muceniece and many others.
In 2020, he played the role of journalist Andrei Zabrodin in the 4-part thriller “White Lies” with Anastasia Panina, and also appeared in the comedy “Mommies”, where he played the ex-husband of a friend of one of the three main characters.

He scolds some, praises or pities others. And sometimes he can even beat someone up to get the truth. Rodionov’s behavior can be explained: in a stressful situation, patients need support - and he provides it in any way.

I like calmness and inner confidence in my actions. He is ready to defend his decisions and achieve the truth at any cost. He is honest and open, without guile or intrigue.

I think that in a story about doctors this trademark humor must be present. Doctors also have a much higher level of self-control than ordinary people. They do not give themselves the right to be nervous, so that the hand with the scalpel does not tremble.

Frankly, I don’t know what it was like before Rodionov ( Smiles – author.
). Indeed, some women show signs of attention to my hero. However, he is waiting for his one and only. In his personal life, everything happens at once: at first sight he realized that he was lost, he fell in love. Here Rodionov and I agree: I don’t understand how it is to look closely for a long time. BUT it so happened that Rodionov and his beloved relationship began to develop not so smoothly, certain circumstances intervened...
Is he not a frivolous person?
No. Rodionov takes his work very seriously, and office romances are not about him. But it so happened that he met love in the clinic, and this creates some difficulties for him.
Peter, do you believe in love at first sight?
Of course I believe! This is exactly what happened in my life. This is a long story that I’m not ready to tell yet. All I can say is that I am very happy.

None. I understand what it is like when they talk about the complexity of a relationship with an actor or actress. However, even outside of the profession I consider myself a rather complex and reserved person. I love solitude and freedom. I don’t advocate open relationships, I just sometimes want to be alone with myself.
Do you still have time for each other?
We are adults and self-sufficient people, each with our own interesting lives. Each of us is a whole person, and we revolve in each other’s orbit, drawing closer or further apart due to circumstances. But that doesn't change the fact that we are together.
Peter, what exactly do you value in women?
Charm, feminine wisdom, beauty and femininity. I like women who are not afraid to be free, because there are a lot of unfree women around who make themselves dependent on a man.
Do you take good care of yourself?
Alas, I was alone for a long time, I’m not very good at caring... Although my beloved likes it when I give her flowers...
What is money to you?
I think freedom. I really like to spend: go somewhere, buy some thing, spend it on a business or give a big tip... I know well what lack of money is... If we go somewhere with friends, and I have the opportunity to pay for everyone, I I will do this with great pleasure.
