Actor Gleb Matveychuk did not grieve for long over his separation from Anastasia Makeeva. Soon he began dating another acting colleague, Elena Glazkova. The artist shared his emotions and also talked about the reasons for breaking up with his ex-wife.

Recalling his marriage to Anastasia Makeeva, Matveychuk notes that his mother immediately disliked her daughter-in-law. Olga Shalimovna (Matveychuk’s mother) was angry that Makeeva did not allow Svetlana Belskaya to participate in the play “Territory of Passion”, since she was Gleb’s former lover. This was the first round of open confrontation between the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.
Anastasia Makeeva admitted in an interview that it was her mother-in-law who destroyed her marriage to Matveychuk. The actress focuses on the fact that Olga Shalimovna intervened in any issue relating not only to her personal relationship with Gleb, but also to her professional activities.
She considered it her duty to express her “valuable” opinion regarding roles in plays. Makeeva notes that at some point her mother-in-law simply confronted her with a fact: either she would obey her will, or nothing good would come of it. Anastasia chose the second option, so the marriage with Matveychuk broke up.
Gleb Matveychuk has his own version of events, saying that he tried in every possible way to reconcile his mother with Anastasia. The actor says that he was torn between his sick mother and Makeeva, who became depressed. Ultimately, Gleb could no longer remain an arbitrator and remain neutral. He had to choose a side, and it was his mother's side. He openly spoke about this in an interview for the “Fate of Man” program.

The artist noted that he tried not to raise the topic of breaking up with Anastasia, even when he read her stories about the breakdown of her marriage. However, according to Gleb, he was hurt by the injustice towards his mother: “She is an elderly person, has undergone many operations, and is in poor health. “My mother is a kind person. She loved Nastya, always considered her talented and helped in many ways. If at first she was worried about Makeeva’s attacks in the press, now she really feels sorry for her former daughter-in-law, she even worries about her and wants her to find her happiness as soon as possible,” added Matveychuk. In his opinion, separation was inevitable, but for a completely different reason:
“I realized that it was time for us to separate when I felt that no arguments or actions could hold our lives together. In the last year, we always had a packed suitcase at our house, which I left with once every two weeks,” the artist admitted.
Gleb noted that it is incorrect to talk about his constant employment, since during Anastasia’s participation in the musical Chicago, he practically did not see his wife for exactly a year - she only came home to sleep, participating in 35 performances every month. The actor is sure that the family was destroyed by competition between the spouses: he wanted creative development for both, and his wife was jealous of his success.

But God didn’t give it, so it was fate,” Gleb explained. With his new lover Elena Glazkova, Matveychuk realized his dream. “Now we live in a new house with Lena, here we will raise our daughter, who will appear very soon,” said Gleb Matveychuk. Elena Glazkova informed reporters about her pregnancy at the end of May.
Gleb said that he met his lover at the Russian Film Week in Greece. Elena didn’t know that he was a musician, and he only later found out that Glazkova was an actress who starred in 17 films and TV series. Soon the couple decided to live together. Gleb has already proposed to his chosen one: “True, we decided to postpone the wedding for now. We'll play it after the birth of our daughter. Now we have other concerns. I’m really looking forward to her birth, I breathe and feel life differently,” the artist admitted.
