Childhood
Natasha is a native Muscovite in the third generation; she was born on June 28, 1966. The girl was still very young when her father left the family. Her mother, Elena Konstantinovna Shturm, and grandmother Serafima Pavlovna were involved in her upbringing.
Natasha equally inherited her musical and literary talent from her relatives. Her grandfather, Konstantin Nikolaevich, was of noble origin (an old Staritsky family). At the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theater he performed parts in the dramatic and lyrical repertoire, and worked as part of the Leonid Utesov ensemble. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery. Natasha's mother worked as a literary editor.

The girl spent her childhood years in Kozikhinsky Lane, in an ordinary apartment, where her only joy was the piano. At the age of six, noticing her daughter’s abilities, her mother sent her to the Dunaevsky music school. Natasha started studying in the piano department. At home she heard only classical music and in her childhood dreams she saw herself as an opera singer.
Studies
Sturm studied at Moscow literary and theater school No. 232. Already in those years, her talent as a writer became apparent. Natalia's writings have always been the best.
Having received a school certificate in 1982, Natasha began studying opera vocals at the Moscow State Conservatory in preparatory courses with the famous tenor Zurab Sotkilava. An experienced teacher advised the girl to change direction, since from the very first lessons he saw in her the makings of a pop singer. Other teachers also said that with her bright appearance and impeccable plasticity, she should go to the stage, and not to the opera.
After preparatory courses in 1984, Natasha listened to the advice of her mentors and continued her studies at the October Revolution Music School. She studied with teacher S. V. Kaytanjyan in pop vocal class.
Music and literature
Following the advice, Natalya has been studying at a music school since 1984. In her third year, she was offered a job in a musical Jewish theater.

Natalia did not forget about her second hobby - literature. At school she studied with a literary and theatrical bias, so without any problems she entered the capital’s Institute of Culture and studied music and literature at the same time. And I graduated from both educational institutions at the same time. Dreaming of a vocal career, Natalya at that time did not think that a literary education would be useful to her.
Creative path
Natalia's musical career began while she was still studying. In her third year, she began performing with the Jewish Chamber Musical Theater. Along with this, at the “Third Direction” studio theater she was involved in the production of “The Threepenny Opera”.
After graduating from college, Sturm began collaborating with the State Folk Ensemble under the direction of Vladimir Nazarov. However, the singer did not forget her childhood passion for literature. In 1990, Natasha received a diploma from the Institute of Culture (specialty in bibliography, literature and art).
Her pop career began in 1991 after participating in the All-Russian Show Queen competition under the patronage of Joseph Kobzon. Sturm’s first solo appearance on the big stage brought her a victory, an audience award and an offer to collaborate with the Mitsva Jewish music ensemble, directed by Victor Lenzon.
Natalya became the soloist of the group. She did not know Yiddish or Hebrew, nevertheless she began to stubbornly master such a repertoire. The Jewish public received her very warmly and affectionately called her “our girl Natasha.” Performances took place at the Moscow Variety Theater, and the ensemble also toured large Russian cities. Listeners especially liked the songs she performed “Shemesh”, “Cigarettes”, “Lyulenka”.
In the fall of 1993, the singer’s creative biography changed dramatically after meeting the performer and author Alexander Novikov at one of the concerts. He offered Natasha a joint project, became her producer and wrote the singer’s first hits. One after another, two albums “I’m not inflatable” and “School Romance” were released, which brought Natalya success.
The song “The School Romance Is Over” was especially popular; it reached the top of the Russian charts, and the video was played on television with enviable regularity. The singer’s number of concerts increased; she toured not only throughout Russia, but also throughout the CIS countries. Listeners also really liked her compositions “Leather Cap”, “Black Lily”, “Strange Meeting”.
In 1997, preparations began for the third album, “Street Artist,” but Natasha had to promote it herself, since by this time Novikov and Sturm had stopped collaborating. Having prepared a new concert program, the singer went on tour to Israel, the USA and Cyprus.
After a long stay in America, Natalia’s popularity in her homeland began to decline. Returning to Russia in 2000, Sturm began working on a new album. But its release was delayed, since in 2001 the singer suffered a spinal injury at a Swiss ski resort and was forced to spend a month and a half in the hospital. After receiving treatment, she went on tour in Siberia.
The last album, “Mirror of Love,” was released in 2002. A video of the same name was also released, in which actor Andrei Sokolov starred. But it was no longer possible to repeat the previous success.
Ten years later, Natasha recorded her fifth album, “Romantic Style,” but it was never released.
Solo career
After working for two years in the Mitsva group, Natalya Sturm felt that she could start her solo career. The decision was right. She records songs by famous composers. The singer’s first recorded album, “I’m Not Inflatable,” immediately spread among Sturm fans.
Meeting the composer and poet Alexander Novikov is a new milestone in Sturm’s musical work. The song written by Novikov and performed by Natalya - “School Romance” - makes it a hit. In the mid-90s, Natalya Sturm became amazingly popular. The singer's next album of the same name goes on sale. It includes equally popular songs such as “Leather Cap”, “Strange Meeting” and “Black Line”. The disc is played in all discos.

Sturm is invited to television to participate in popular shows. She appears in music videos and does a photo shoot for one of the men's magazines, Playboy. Thanks to all this, she is at the top of the music charts.
Literary activity
And then there came a moment in the singer’s life when she realized that she was tired of the huge amount of moving and touring, of negotiations and recording songs, of nervous shock, humiliation and refusals. She constantly lacked sleep, she did not have enough time for her mother and children. And for some reason, the joy of victories, success and popularity was always replaced by devastation. The realization came that she was not a woman, but a squirrel in a wheel, constantly chasing fame, and that in such a pursuit, in the end, one could go crazy.
Natalya left her musical activity and took up literature, writing and publishing several novels and detective stories:
- "Love is the color of blood";
- “Creature Die, or Love the Color of Loneliness”;
- “Strict Security School, or Love in the Color of Youth”;
- "The Sun in Parentheses";
- "All shades of pain."
Personal life
Natalia married twice, but both marriages did not work out.
The first time she went to the registry office was with musician and operetta artist Sergei Deev while still studying at school. On December 23, 1989, the couple had a daughter, Elena. But the singer’s constant tours and then her wild popularity complicated the life of the young family. Sergei could not stand this way of life and four years after the birth of his daughter, the couple divorced.
The next time Natasha got married ten years later. In 2003, her wedding to successful businessman Igor Pavlov took place in an elite metropolitan restaurant. The bride's dress cost about $3,000, and the ring cost $10,000.
On January 10, 2004, their son Arseny was born. But life with Igor turned out to be unhappy and short-lived. The despotic man beat Natalya, and after the divorce he forbade her to see her son.
However, even after officially divorcing the marriage, she still had to endure humiliation for a long time. The fact is that Natasha wanted to give her son a good education. But the former singer is not able to support the Lomonosov school in the village of Uspenskoye, where she has to shell out more than a million rubles for a year of study.
According to the court's decision, the boy lives with his father. But Natalya regained her right to see the child at least on weekends. Her daughter from her first marriage is already an adult, married a foreigner, and works in the State Duma.
Natalya with her daughter
In 2020, a new love appeared in the singer’s life. Her chosen one is a native of Amsterdam, Tigran Harutyunyan, he is seventeen years younger than Natasha. For his sake, Sturm decided to radically change her appearance, becoming a participant in the program “10 Years Younger.” Together, lovers travel and enjoy life.
Fitness is the norm of life
Now Natalya does not sing on stage, does not record new songs or albums, but still attracts the attention of the public. Despite her age, her passion for shocking remains. One after another, she posts her nude photos on Instagram, which collect a huge number of reviews, both negative and enthusiastic.
Sturm treats negative comments easily and with humor; she is no stranger to it; she has always had plenty of envious people. And to fans who speak with admiration about her figure, Natasha tells how many hours a day she devotes to the gym.
Sturm began training in fitness in 1998 at one of the first clubs in the capital at Presnya, Atlantis. And continues to do this to this day. Looking good and being slim is her daily work. The singer does not drink alcohol, does not smoke and is never in a room where it is smoky. She eats little, avoids depressed and nervous people, and finds something to do every day. Her motto is: “One day cannot be the same.”
Her age has already passed the half-century mark, and she has more than enough energy. Mom says that being next to Natalya is like getting tangled in high-voltage wires. She is quiet and silent only when she stays with the children. He loves to just sit with them and talk about life.
