Life without Murat
On that fateful evening, Murat’s ten-year-old daughter Liya and six-year-old son Akim and mother-in-law Greta were in the apartment with Murat. The children were in the next room. Leah still remembers clearly how at half past nine she told her father that she was going to the bathroom and then going to bed. Returning to her room, she heard some kind of panic begin and realized that something terrible had happened. And so it happened: the musician fell from the balcony.
At first, the family could not recover from the shock. The singer's wife Natalya threw herself into her work: she began teaching vocal lessons and collaborating with backing vocalists of famous groups. Leah says that only her mother helped her and her brother return to normal life and survive the terrible tragedy.
This would drive anyone crazy.
Many were quick to attribute the death of Murat Nasyrov to drugs, but there was much more to it than that. Drugs were indeed present in the singer’s life, but the worst happened in his youth. In adulthood, Murat was faced with more serious problems.
The best hits - “The Boy Wants to Go to Tambov”, “Someone Will Forgive” and “I Am You” - remained in the late 90s. Throughout the 2000s, the musician was burned with melancholy from lack of demand and quickly vanished fame. The relationship with his common-law wife Natalya Boyko (aka singer Selena) was also strained. In 15 years together they had two children, but for some reason Natalya did not want to register the marriage. Muslim Nasyrov was greatly depressed by this.
Murat neglected himself so much that in May 2006 he ended up in a psychiatric clinic for treatment. Under antidepressants, Nasyrov felt better, but doctors discovered signs of low-grade schizophrenia in him. For a more accurate diagnosis, the singer should have been observed for a year, but he did not live that long.
On August 2, 2006, Nasyrov’s close friend, A-Studio guitarist Baglan Sadvakasov, died in a car accident. Murat never recovered from this blow. The singer’s friends said that after the death of his fellow countryman, Nasyrov again took up drugs.

On Friday, January 19, 2007, it was hectic in the Moscow apartment on Vucheticha Street, where the Nasyrov family lived. From the very morning, Murat measured the apartment with steps and called someone. Towards evening, he calmed down and went to visit friends in a Kazakh restaurant, and dropped his wife off with a friend along the way.
At 10 pm Nasyrov returned home and the trash started. In the apartment at that time there were children, 10-year-old Liya and 6-year-old Akim, as well as mother-in-law Greta Boyko. Murat again rushed from corner to corner: “I saw God and Baga [Sadvakasov]. He's calling me. He feels bad there."
Nasyrov jumped out of the apartment, climbed to the roof and prepared to jump, but his mother-in-law ran out after him and somehow dissuaded him. The woman dragged Murat back into the house.
But Nasyrov did not let go. Murat was making a fuss on the staircase, knocking on the neighbors and shouting that he had seen Baga. The singer’s friends recalled that on that day he captured the ghost of Sadvakasov in a photo. Most likely, he kept his phone book informed about this all day. However, even before this Nasyrov complained about being haunted by a ghost.
Having calmed down a little, Nasyrov went to his room, where the studio was equipped, and listened to his best songs for a long time. Then Murat woke up the children and said goodbye. Returning to the studio room, Nasyrov changed into a stage costume, hung a camera around his neck, for some reason took an Orthodox icon and climbed over the railing of the balcony on the fifth floor.
For some time after the fall, 37-year-old Nasyrov was alive and tried to say something to passersby who ran up. There was blood coming from the artist's throat.

The family did not make the results of the examination public for a long time, but a couple of years ago Murat’s wife admitted that a certain psychotropic substance was found in the musician’s blood. According to Natalya, it was a drug that gave an unexpected effect in combination with alcohol.
According to the singer's will, all of his property, including the rights to songs, went to his children and close relatives. Natalya Boyko, with whom the relationship was not legalized, received nothing. But the woman did not make a scandal, agreeing with this decision. She never got married. Daughter Leah is now 23, son Akim is 19. Both plan to become musicians.

Murat Nasyrov was born on December 13, 1969 in one of the large families of Uyghur nationality in Almaty.
He became the youngest son, the fifth in a row. The family of Ismail Sufi and Khatira Niyazovna Nasyrov emigrated from China to the USSR in 1958. His father worked as a taxi driver, and his mother worked at a local plastic factory. In his free time from work, my father sang national songs accompanied by Uyghur instruments, and also wrote poetry. He tried to maintain the traditions of his native people in his family. Children called their parents exclusively “you” and always obeyed their will.

But his eighteen-year-old son Akim firmly decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and immediately entered the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. As a teenager, he became interested in playing the saxophone and showed good success. Now the guy writes his own compositions and is rapidly developing in this direction. Recently I played a concert with my classmates at a jazz club. He loves to experiment with different genres and styles, so his sister predicts a great future for him.

Personal life
While studying at the Gnessin School, Murat began to communicate with Natalya Boyko . She also studied in the vocal department. Later she performed under the creative pseudonym Selena on stage. He sought her favor for a long time and eventually won the sympathy of Natalya.
The couple did not go to the registry office, but had a wedding in accordance with Uyghur customs. Soon a daughter, Leah, was born into their family. It was 1996. And 4 years later, son Akim was born.
Nasyrov's children also began to study music. After school, Leah went to study at the Academy. Plekhanov, wanting to master the specialty of a specialist in international relations. Son Akim went to study at the Gnessin Academy, learning to play the saxophone. Natalya is teaching at an educational institution at Ostankino. She also plays in S. Mazaev's orchestra.
In 2007, Nasyrov passed away. On the night of January 20, strange events occurred in his apartment, which led to the singer falling from the balcony. The injuries that Murat received turned out to be incompatible with life. But the real cause of the musician’s death could not be established. There are many versions, some say that he committed suicide, some say he went on drugs, others say it was an accident . Natalya and Murat's friends are sure that this was an absurd coincidence.
Nasyrov's funeral was organized at home in Almaty. He was buried next to his father at the Dawn of the East cemetery.
