Biography of Dusan Perovic

Businessman Dusan Perovic is from Montenegro. He was born and raised in a family of horse breeders. His parents had many factories that were located near the Hungarian border. From an early age, Dusan was attracted to football, and he dreamed of becoming a world-famous football player. He confidently walked towards his dream and even joined the main team of Montenegro. But, unfortunately, at one of the matches, Perovic received a serious injury, which as a result put an end to the football player’s career.

In his hometown, Dusan Perovic graduated from the University of Montenegro with a degree in law, but he did not plan to stay in his native land. Soon Perovich moved to America and began to work hard, developing his business.

Secret of success

  1. Ekaterina admits that it can be difficult for her to cope with excitement and emotions when covering tragedies, but in just a split second, Andreeva is back in the frame, gathering all her will into a fist and not letting out a tear.
  2. The presenter is one of the few who independently prepares for the broadcast. She picks out clothes, does her hair and applies makeup.
  3. Andreeva has learned to cope with stress and fatigue; according to her, it’s enough to take a nap on the nearest sofa for 20 minutes and you can do great things again.

Since 1998, Ekaterina Andreeva has been broadcasting on the Vesti program. During this time, her appearance did not change at all. Periodically, every few years, there is a rumor that the presenter is leaving Channel One. Ekaterina herself is accustomed to such gossip; she is sure that as soon as she goes on vacation, fans begin to panic.

Marriage to Ekaterina Andreeva

Dusan Petrovich met his future wife completely by accident. In 1989, he arrived in Moscow to resolve work issues related to his business. During that period of time, he came across the “Time” program and saw it. Petrovich could not take his eyes off the TV presenter, everything inside him trembled, and he realized that this was love. With the help of his connections, Perovich began to find out information about the beautiful Ekaterina Andreeva. Afterwards, the businessman began to woo the TV presenter and give him luxurious bouquets of flowers and gifts.

When they met, Dusan Perović did not know the Russian language at all, and this was a big obstacle. But for the sake of his beloved, Perovich decided to break down the language barrier and began to study the native language of Russia.

Ekaterina Andreeva did not immediately accept the man’s advances and the seriousness of his intentions. Dusan had to win the heart of the woman he loved for a long time. After 3 years, Perovich achieved his goal, and Ekaterina agreed to become his wife, despite the difference in age of 5 years.

Unfortunately, the spouses have no children together. Dusan Perovic and Ekaterina Andreeva raised her daughter from her first marriage, Natalya, together. Dusan and Natalia have an excellent relationship. He considers her his own daughter, and she is his own and only father. Natalya is very kind to Dzhigan, she considers him a family member who can always listen and help in difficult times.

Currently, Dushan Perov and Ekaterina Andreeva continue to enjoy family life and love each other. Over 30 years of marriage, the couple never regretted that fate gave them such a gift - it brought them together.

short biography

Ekaterina Sergeevna Andreeva, a favorite of Channel One viewers, was born on November 27, 1961 in Moscow, in the family of the deputy chairman of the USSR State Supply Committee and a housewife. Katya has a sister, Svetlana.

During her school years, Katya played basketball and also studied for a short time at an Olympic reserve school. After completing her studies at school, Andreeva entered the Moscow Pedagogical Institute, which she graduated in 1990, and completed her studies at the All-Union Legal Correspondence Institute (evening department).

Before starting her television career, Ekaterina managed to work in the General Prosecutor's Office (the office management department of the investigative department), and oversaw the most crime-prone regions - the Krasnodar Territory and Stavropol Territory.

In the same year, by the will of fate, Katya, at the prompting of her mother, was trained at the All-Russian Academy of Television and Radio of the USSR, and at the “school of announcers” her mentor was Igor Kirillov himself.

In 1991, a charming and extremely smart girl began working in the field of television broadcasting: she was an announcer for the Ostankino television company, Central Television, and hosted the “Good Morning” program. Further, since 1995, Ekaterina Andreeva has been the host of the “News” program and editor of information programs on ORT.

Finally, from 1998 to the present day, Katya has been working as the host of the “Time” program on Channel One. By the way, the very next year she was recognized as the most beautiful TV presenter in Russia (results of an online survey).

Ekaterina is married to a Montenegrin businessman of Serbian origin, Dusko Petrovich, who fell in love with the charming beauty at first sight and after 3 years of courtship won her hand. He has an adult daughter, Natalya, from his first marriage, who has already completed her studies at MGIMO.

The secret to a happy and long-lasting marriage

Many people and journalists wonder how they manage to live and maintain a happy marriage of 30 years. Ekaterina Andreeva answered this question. She admitted that she and her husband are complete opposites, but this is what attracts them. If Dushan is calmer and loves order in everything, then Ekaterina, on the contrary, brings chaos into their measured life.

The TV presenter also admitted that when she returns home after work, she likes to scatter her things everywhere. Dusan, in turn, a lover of order, calmly and silently collects things and puts them in place. Spouses believe that they need to make concessions to each other's shortcomings or simply not notice them.

Catherine believes that her husband has shortcomings, but she has learned not to notice them. The couple are very happy together. If problems arise, they sit down and calmly, peacefully agree on everything. Even in the most difficult situations, they try not to quarrel, but to resolve everything amicably. Ekaterina Andreeva loves, appreciates and respects her husband, so she always listens to his opinion.

It is worth noting the fact that Dushan is not a romantic person, unlike Andreeva. The TV presenter does not expect surprises from her husband, and if she wants a gift, she tells him about it directly. Petrovich instantly fulfills the wishes of his beloved woman.

Presenter career

Since 1991, Ekaterina has been working on television. But in her youth, she could not imagine who she would become, because she dreamed of becoming a lawyer. Having completed her 2nd year, the girl transferred to the Faculty of History. But this did not become her life’s work.

Unexpectedly for herself, she got into courses for radio and television presenters. She thought she looked awkward on screen, but her sternness and cold gaze became her advantage. Andreeva was perfect for the role of presenter of news programs. The girl’s teacher was Igor Kirillov, a famous and respected television personality.

At first, the presenter worked at Ostankino, then got a job on the Good Morning program on the ORT channel. And as soon as she began hosting a program familiar to everyone and appeared on the screens, the public immediately accepted the girl. Katya remembers her first broadcast; she couldn’t pull herself together for a long time and forgot how to breathe. Feeling responsible, she pulled herself together and did a brilliant job.

Ekaterina with her daughter

In 1998, Andreeva began hosting the “Time” program and since then no one has replaced her. But this is the only field where Catherine achieved success. She even managed to appear in films. Films with her participation: “Fiend of Hell”, “In the Mirror of Venus”, “First Ambulance”. In 2015, there was a rumor that the beloved presenter was fired from the channel. Everyone was shocked, but it turned out to be just someone's gossip. Perhaps the girl was just on vacation for a while.

Ekaterina Andreeva: “In our family, the husband is neat, and I am chaos”

It was easy to get lost in the corridors of Ostankino, where the permanent face of the Vremya program on Channel One made an appointment. “Can you tell me how to get to the directorate of information programs?” While I’m running in the lobby from one group of random people to another, I notice that someone is watching me on the floor above. “Can you tell me...” And it was Catherine herself who came out to meet him. Just like on TV, she just smiles. Either becoming serious or laughing excitedly, Andreeva told how she ran away from the hormonal elephant, why she hits herself on the head in the morning and why she always wins at the casino. Ekaterina Andreeva spoke about the claims against her husband

The husband shouted: “Get out of there!”

— Ekaterina, you literally blew up Instagram with your appearance. It was as if they had been holding back for a long time and suddenly it burst! How did you come up with the idea to go online?

I didn’t intend to, despite the fact that it was fashionable, interesting, and my friends said “I should.” But I understood: to manage Instagram well, it takes a lot of time. I felt sorry for him. At some point I decided to at least see what it was. And I was surprised to discover that there are duplicate accounts with hundreds of photos under my name. But that's okay. There were such banal signatures that are simply not typical for me. But people might think that I’m real. The last straw was the condolences to the widow of Yevgeny Primakov - a person I respected, whom I knew personally, his grandson worked for us - on behalf of such a “fake”. I thought, does that mean you can do anything under my name? And then you won’t understand why your friend or colleague doesn’t say hello or looks askance. I decided to create a “trial” account and observe... I existed under the name “Churchill77” for about a month. Churchill is one of my favorite prime ministers. Of course, at first I made mistakes - I made too many publications. She began posting photographs from Africa one after another... She eliminated the doubles as soon as she discovered the name. While she was under a pseudonym, she even managed to earn extra money. Since I have a lot of unique videos related to travel - a hippopotamus hunting us, the first appearance of little lion cubs - large online publications began to contact me with a request to provide them with a video. We agreed. When I travel, something always happens to me - hence the interesting stories.

— Has it ever happened that dangerous situations happened while traveling?

Three times! The first was when a hormonal elephant chased us. Once a year they have a failure. They become dangerous, even members of the herd begin to fear them, although at other times they are peaceful animals. Elephants in ordinary life never fight to the death. But if a hormonal elephant meets a normal one, their fight could end in murder. We then escaped - by car. I don’t know what would have happened if it weren’t for the skill of our ranger. The second incident occurred near Angola - in a hot air balloon. Suddenly the wind rose, a tornado. We had a very professional ball captain, but even he couldn’t cope. No one died, but there was a hard landing, the balloon turned over and began to drag the basket along the ground. What’s funny is that I not only complied with the safety requirements, but also turned on the camera. The main thing is to take it off! Then it turned out that she intuitively chose the least traumatic place in the cabin. The third extreme case was with snakes - in Jaipur, India. Fakirs sat in the square next to the Raja's palace. We watched them charm snakes, and I told my husband: “Give me some money and I’ll pay for the show.” I walk up sideways and reach for the basket. And then the fakir said to me in Hindi: “Sit down.” I understand that I cannot resist. I sit down. A second later, the poisonous cobra I had just been looking at was in my hands. My daughter, flesh and blood, sees all this and says: “I want that too!” He rushes and grabs the snake by the tail. The fakir is happy - touching a European is considered good luck. The husband shouts in hysterics: “Get out of there already.” And I told him: “Shoot faster!” In general, the shots turned out well.

— What do you always take with you when you travel?

Phone, camera, protective equipment that is needed in this country. If you are traveling to Africa, it is advisable to take something for malaria. I don’t take pills, but a drug that my English homeopath makes - called indica atista. He noticed that in India, despite the fact that there are malarial places there, people do not suffer as much as in Africa. Because they chew the bark of the indica atista tree, a type of acacia. When I go to India I take something stomach-friendly. Although, if you don’t drink water there, including from opened bottles, and don’t eat fruit or ice cream, there won’t be any problems. Their water is not dirty, it just contains a type of amoeba that is not compatible with our European stomachs. Hence the poisoning. Always have glasses and a cap with you, and if it’s a safari, then special clothes for it.

— How many countries have you already visited? Do you keep records?

Oh-oh-a lot! I was even given a cake in the shape of a globe with flags for my birthday. It’s easier to say where I haven’t been – Latin America, New Zealand and Australia. And, of course, I don’t go to countries where there are military conflicts.

— What do you bring from your trips? Surely the whole house is covered in souvenirs!

In the Namib Desert there is a tribe called the Himba. These are nomads who live in clay tents and make beautiful jewelry. I bring them or something made of wood from Africa. My husband is against trinkets. Cashmere blankets come from India, the prices for them are completely different there. In Bhutan I had to buy phalluses; they have it as a must have – a symbol of fertility, good luck, and love. And in Burma there are amazing stones. You can buy spinel there - this is pre-ruby. About the necklace, which cost $300 there with the haggling, and $500 without haggling, everyone here thinks that it’s something surreal.

— On Instagram, everyone recognized the real you. What other character traits are you hiding? Maybe you're vulnerable?

Well, I do not. My nerves are like ropes. Stretchable. I don’t even know what to do to offend me. I only pay attention to people I value and love. The scribblers who periodically send me nasty things on the Internet can relax - all this is going nowhere, it passes through me like through water. From the age of three I had this attitude towards the world. Mom was worried: “Well, the neighbors will say...” And I answered: “So what? This is my life!" Advice: don’t pay attention to those you haven’t even seen and don’t know. Evil messages ricochet against my defense, go back, but the energy sent along with them remains - and I feel good. Read the book “Reality Transurfing” if anyone doesn’t know how to build contact with the world.

— You managed without Instagram. What apps can’t you live without on your phone?

Calendar, navigator, weather, calculator, parking, WhatsApp, notes, music, YouTube, but I rarely use it, plus an application for putting a crown on my head, iMovie for creating videos, Skype, mail - well, that’s all.

Ekaterina likes to experiment with photo applications // Photo: Instagram

— Do you watch yourself on TV?

Not anymore. Previously, yes, I checked intonation and appearance. I visited Vanya Urgant, but haven’t seen the program yet. But I’ll watch it – not because of myself, but because of Vanya, whom I love very much. I have a TV at home, even three: in the kitchen, in the living room and in my husband’s bedroom. If I do include them, it’s Animal Planet, National Geographic or documentaries. I rarely watch TV series - unless friends recommend it. And when it’s convenient for me, and not when they go. Favorite: “Sherlock” with Cumberbatch, “The Sniffer”. I like intellectual ones, not about the life of a girl from the outback who came to conquer the world and is looking for an oligarch.

"I'm a tank with armor"

— What doesn’t your day start without and how is it built?

Before waking up, there is a very high-quality exercise called “fish” - shaking the whole body. Followed by tapping and patting on the hands and head, rubbing the ears. This is already Taijiquan. Then – special breathing exercises. It helps stimulate blood vessels in the brain. On an empty stomach – a large glass of water with or without lemon. If I train on this day, then have breakfast after class or an hour before it. Today I got up at 7:30, tried to call the coach to cancel the meeting: he knows this, he never picks up the phone. So I had to go. The first broadcast is at one o'clock, then a flight and some free time. From three we begin to prepare a program for five - for the regions. Many people think that I come to work only at nine in the evening. In the evening I do something meditative - yoga or tai chi, in the morning maybe something strength-training - boxing or Pilates.

— Surely you haven’t been nervous in front of cameras for a long time?

Once researchers came to us and attached sensors. It turned out that the presenter had the same condition before the broadcast as an astronaut before the flight. And the profession is considered harmful. Even though I’ve been doing this for many years, I’m still worried. After all, you are in contact with millions of people, but they are not there: only the screen, cameras and operators. And it should be natural. It is not easy. Plus various emergency situations. For example, direct connection will take place and fail - the technology has failed. And one time I forgot to attach the microphone, but it was the day the twin towers exploded. 8 hours on air without a break! I thought my brain would open up. Once there was a case - she confused terrorists with tractor drivers, and said that a gang of tractor drivers had attacked some village. The director laughs: “Katya, what kind of active grain growers are we?”

- As far as I know, you have the ability to see the future. Do you make predictions?

This is, of course, an exaggeration. I am more of a systemic-inductive analyst - when you move from the particular to the general. Sometimes I feel: the event has not yet happened, but there are its harbingers. For many, Trump's victory in the American elections was unexpected, but not for me. I bet money in a political betting machine and won.

“You could get rich with such talents!”

I'm not a gambler. I could play in a casino, but everything that I received undeservedly is dangerous. In return, they may take from you something that you don’t want to give away. Once I collided with an expensive foreign car on the road. My husband was on a business trip and there was no place to get money right away. A friend lent the required amount. Just then I was invited to a birthday party at the casino. And one famous woman offered to play. I set a condition: your bet, I play, the result is divided in half. As soon as I won the amount that I needed to give to a friend, I decided to stop. But my partner got a taste for it and persuaded her - let’s do more!

—Have you ever thought about changing your job?

And I like mine. Everything here is always new, interesting, fast. The husband says: “You work at high speeds, like a Ferrari!” If the traffic subsides, I become absent-minded - I can forget my umbrella, keys, wallet somewhere. I love the drive too much.

— You’re always strict on camera, but what about your own people?

When I look at Dmitry Nagiyev, I don’t think that in life he uses black humor. Many people think that I get up from my chair in the studio and go home the same way. I want to tell everyone: read the book of one shaman - Don Miguel Ruiz, there are four rules of life. One of them is never make assumptions. For those close to me, I am warm and reliable.

— Have you ever thought about what to do after finishing your career as a TV presenter?

For what? No. I always solve problems as they arise.

— How do you cope with stress? Is your work stressful?

Proper nutrition, exercise, understanding that despondency is a terrible sin. I really understand this. The most important book in the world - the Bible - has everything. Read - He gave everything to people. You need to be able to establish cause-and-effect relationships between events, and everything will be fine.

— They wrote more than once that you were being fired, that you were leaving. Did it hurt?

This is some kind of order when they want to destabilize you, unsettle you. Everyone started calling: “Oh, Katya, what happened?” I want to convey to those who were involved in this that I absolutely don’t give a damn. I have a job, I do it. If there's no tomorrow, I'll do something else. And no tragedy. I don’t react to such things - in this case I’m a tank with armor.

— How do you rest?

Sports are relaxation for me. I always leave training happy. I sometimes play chess with my dad. I go to exhibitions, I was recently in St. Petersburg at the opening of an exhibition at a friend’s place and at the Mariinsky Theater to see The Barber of Seville. Upon arrival, I went to see “Black Russian” - my friends invited me. A day later - for the “Day of the Oprichnik” in “Lenkom”, then for the flamenco evening: the Spaniards arrived, who dance so much that you lose the idea of where you are! Sex from the stage. And no one is naked or swearing. When I’m on vacation I do spa treatments; in Moscow I don’t have time for them. But I take care of my face regularly, go for masks, currents, and plasma lifting.

— You have so much knowledge - about proper nutrition, sports... Have you ever thought about writing a book?

A publisher friend of mine regularly says, “Let’s put something out!” But I have this opinion on this matter: if you don’t have to write, don’t write! Dostoevsky should have, Tolstoy, Bulgakov... But I can hardly imagine Katya Andreeva in this role.

— You have been with your husband for more than 15 years. Is he the ideal man for you?

Of course, he has shortcomings, but they don't bother me. We don’t swear, we even argue in a civilized manner – without getting personal, without insults, or shouting. I respect him, so I always listen to my husband’s opinion. Some people get started by quarrels and scandals. This is not the case with us - we are like-minded people and a negotiable couple. Although different in character. Dusan is a supporter of order, and I am a supporter of chaos. I start throwing things around, he calmly tidies them up. Like a little Raccoon loves to wash and rinse everything. We coincide - apparently, he lacks the destabilization that I bring. And if Dushan doesn’t like something, he says: “Kitten, please forgive me, but I want you to understand...” And then there’s a list of complaints. The main words are “forgive me...”. After them you perceive everything differently.

— How do you like to spend your time?

The other day we were in a Japanese restaurant, which was opened by Natasha Goldenberg’s husband. I really liked it. Then to the cinema. We also go to the theater.

— Is your husband also a supporter of proper nutrition?

He tries, but not like my daughter and I. We are straight adherents, and he is the weak link. When we go home, we usually order ready-made food – we use the services of good catering companies. But Dusan himself loves to go shopping - it relieves stress: he chooses something, rummages through it, puts it at home.

— Is your husband a romantic?

He once told me a long time ago: “If you want or need something, say it as it is. And I will do it." This is how we still do it. I'm more of a romantic.

— How did you get married as believers?

At first they just got married. They couldn’t sign us up for a long time - my husband is a foreigner, born in Yugoslavia. People from the registry office, apparently, were worried about me and demanded a paper from Dushan stating that he was not married. They don’t have stamps in their passports like we do. He, poor thing, ran around with these certificates. I did it for a year, then the letters turned out to be wrong - I redid it. A few years later we got married in the temple.

— Is there any secret to a long and happy life together?

This is some kind of match made in heaven. Happiness. Every day you wake up with a person next to you and realize that you are not tired of him. And that you want to see him, feel his skin, inhale his smell, hear his voice... We have a rule: at 12 o’clock you must call each other to find out how you are doing. We constantly communicate by phone or Skype - if abroad. This is really a gift of fate that does not depend on me. Apparently, somehow I deserved it.
