The stately beauty Kristina Babushkina comes from Siberia.
Her parents are musicians: her mother is a conductor, her father has been playing the oboe in an orchestra for many years. The girl learned to read very early, and it was impossible to tear her away from books. She read her favorite fairy tales to the children in the yard, very accurately depicting different characters.

The abilities of her parents were passed on to Christina, so music school was inevitable. It turned out that the girl had a wonderful voice, so she had every chance to continue the dynasty of musicians.

The actress says: “There was a lot of music in my life, since I was at rehearsals with my dad, then with my mother, then in the orchestra, then in the choir. And ultimately I was overfilled with it. At some point I told my parents: “Yes, play your own Mozart! I will devote all my free time to sports.” So the music school was over. True, neither speed skating nor volleyball lasted long, but a serious passion for theater appeared.

In high school, Christina firmly decided to become an actress. Her parents were not pleased with her choice, so she took the exams at the Irkutsk Theater School in secret. She told me everything when she was already enrolled in the first year.

The joy was short-lived. At the age of 17, Kristina Babushkina was in a car accident and spent the next two years in the hospital. Doctors literally pieced together her right leg. The question arose about changing her profession: few believed that the girl would be able to properly move around the stage and endure the physical stress of the artist.

I had to leave school, but Christina did not give up on her dream. She went to Moscow and managed to get into several theater universities at once! “Probably, this story was given to me for some kind of overcoming, in order to further strengthen my character and move on. And the belief that I wanted to become an actress literally put me on my feet,” says Christina today.

Making the final choice turned out to be quite easy. At a screening at the Moscow Art Theater School, Oleg Tabakov noticed the girl and kept her in his class. Of course, Christina did not refuse such an offer.

Conquest of Moscow

Our heroine underwent surgery on her leg. And after 2 months I went to Moscow. The talented and self-confident Siberian managed to enter three theater universities - VGIK, VTU named after. Shchukin and the Moscow Art Theater School. She chose the latter option. Her mentor and teacher was O. Tabakov.

Already in her second year, Christina began participating in various productions. For example, in the play “At the Lower Depths” the young beauty successfully got used to the image of Vasilisa. For this role she even received the Moscow Debuts award.

In 2002, she was awarded a diploma from the Studio School. The talented girl had no problems finding employment. Kristina Babushkina began her film career with small roles in the TV series “Truckers” and “Maroseyka, 12.” Then she starred in the 6-episode film “Shukshin Stories”.

In 2005, the actress got one of the main roles in the film “Diva” - she played Zoya. Two years later, a continuation of this story was published - “The Banker’s Girlfriend”. "Bloody Lady"

The big premiere of the Rossiya TV channel is the series “Bloody Lady” about the cruel landowner Daria Saltykova, who went down in history as Saltychikha. There are still legends about her atrocities. One of the roles in the drama was played by Kristina Babushkina.

“Most often I am used in films as an exaggerated comedic character. Therefore, I consider the role in the series “Bloody Lady” a gift - such an acting range is spelled out there. ...

When I read the script, I realized that this was exactly the role I was missing. My heroine in the story does not kill anyone, she only covers for her mistress, and when she realizes what exactly her mistress is doing, she goes crazy. In my opinion, the most difficult project. ... During filming, something always interfered with us: in the winter there were severe frosts, someone suddenly fell ill... We always overcame some mystical circumstances, but we managed.”

Kristina Babushkina was married to actor Stanislav Duzhnikov. In 2007, their daughter Ustinya was born.
