“You are just one person”: Yana Sexte showed her mother for the first time in a long time

Yana Sexte, who is familiar to many as the first wife of Maxim Matveev, is one of those young actresses whose performance finds a lively response in the hearts of even the most demanding viewers. She can hardly be called a beauty - she is small in stature, has unusual facial features, but the outstanding production director Oleg Tabakov, who has a special nose for talent, did everything in his power to ensure that this fragile girl triumphantly ascended to the pedestal of Russian cinema.

The main life milestones of the Russian and Latvian actress Yana Sexte

Childhood and youth

The future theater and film star was born on April 6, 1980 in Riga. Her father was involved in fishing and, as is the case with sailors, was at sea for a long time, so her mother was mainly involved in raising the girl. Yana has a twin sister, Inna, with whom, according to the actress, they still have a special connection.

As a teenager, Sexte was very complex about her appearance. She admired her sister's beauty, and considered herself an ugly duckling with glasses.

As a child, the girl dreamed of becoming a medical worker. She was never in good health, which is why she was often forced to stay in hospitals, while her peers were walking and having fun.

At the age of 14, Yana was lucky enough to get into the theater studio at the Riga Theater for Young Spectators, where Tatyana Cherkovskaya took her under her wing. The closer graduation from the Pushkin Lyceum got, the more Sexte realized that she wanted to devote herself entirely to acting.

Having received a school certificate, the girl went to Moscow, where, under the program to help Russian theaters abroad, the head of the Moscow Art Theater Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov was recruiting. Those wishing to study at the Moscow Art Theater studio always faced difficult entrance tests, but Yana was able to impress the examination committee and was immediately enrolled in the first year.
