Finding an actress for the main role who has the appearance of Galina Brezhneva turned out to be difficult. However, when the filmmakers saw a photograph of Galina Brezhneva in the 60s and actress Lyudmila Nilskaya, they were struck by their similarity.
This is not the first time that the actress has had to play Galina Brezhneva: in 2004 she appeared in the same role in the film “Red Square”.
