She was born in the capital of our Motherland in 1963. The girl's parents died when she was only one year old. Her grandmothers and numerous relatives were involved in her upbringing. Therefore, the girl was not deprived of affection and attention. What did she dream of as a child? What plans did you make? No, neither the theater platform nor the stage excited her imagination. Moreover, she dreamed of graduating from medical school, becoming a doctor and treating people.

But life turned out completely differently. A friend who dreamed of the laurels of an actress persuaded Tatyana to enter the theater institute. It turned out to be the Moscow Art Theater School. The commission assessed Tatyana Agafonova’s external and professional data very modestly. Her appearance was very ordinary, and her figure was far from world standards. Having entered medical school, Tatyana Agafonova forgot to think about her unsuccessful attempt to become an actress, but imagine her surprise when a few months later she learned that she had been enrolled in the theater school.

Everything was explained very simply. The head of the course, Vasily Petrovich Markov, decided that in Soviet cinema there were not enough actresses to play simple, ordinary women. This is how Tatyana Agafonova began acting in films.

Personal life

Tatyana Agafonova realized herself in creativity, business, and agriculture. Moreover, the actress managed to work both as a manager and as a simple auto mechanic. But Tatyana Ivanovna was less fortunate with her personal life: the actress never got married and did not know the joys of motherhood. As Tatyana Ivanovna herself admits, the actress was never able to meet a man stronger than herself.

Tatiana Agafonova

The actress loves to read. Books are the main value for her. When the actress moved from Moscow to a collective farm in the Tver region, she took with her only her home library. Another favorite pastime of Tatyana Agafonova was hunting.

Today in the press you can find notes about the life of the actress with the ballerina Galina Ulanova, but this is a mistake, a consequence of the coincidence of names. Galina Sergeevna lived with journalist Tatyana Agafonova, who died of cancer before the ballerina’s death.

Personal life of Tatyana Agafonova

Throughout her life, this amazing woman has been overcoming her fears and complexes. She loves to take on new heights. Whoever Tatyana Agafonova was. And whatever she did. She starred in commercials, was a TV presenter, a legal adviser, sold spare parts for cars, raised collective farm lands and much more. Next to such a woman, a man should be strong and purposeful. But, unfortunately, she has not yet met such a person. Although, as she herself admitted in an interview, marriage proposals were made to her, and more than once. But the men in love only dreamed that Tatyana would leave everything and be only a housewife. For an actress and a woman who cannot sit in one place for a long time, such a life was unacceptable. Therefore, Tatyana Agafonova refused all proposals. But perhaps life will still give her a fateful meeting. In the meantime, the actress is not married and has no children.

Moscow Art Theater or medical school?

The plump charmer of Soviet cinema was born on October 8, 1963. Almost nothing is known about her childhood years. As long as Tatyana can remember, even when she was very young, she did not succumb to the general adventure of preparing to enter theater school. But one day I simply couldn’t refuse my friend. So, for the company, she passed the exams at the Moscow Art Theater School. Looking at the potential applicant, the teachers were not delighted: she was only guaranteed a “C”. Sixteen-year-old Tatyana Agafonova was not at all upset when she directed her steps towards medical school, because it was her dream, and that’s where she was going to go.

Without remembering the unsuccessful admission at all, Tanya spent a couple of months diligently acquiring knowledge of pharmacology. And suddenly she receives a notification from the Moscow Art Theater that she has been enrolled in the first year. I must say that for her it was a small miracle, because the competition consisted of 245 applicants for one place.

Chairman of the collective farm

In the 90s of the 20th century, the actress began to be offered roles in films about bandits or about Afghanistan and Chechnya. Not wanting to star in such films, Tatyana Agafonova decided to go to her mother’s homeland, to the village of Zalazino. Here they had a dacha, which was built by Tatyana’s grandfather. If she ever had thoughts about selling the house, then the country air and everyday worries associated with the house and garden did their job. Tatyana Agafonova decided to leave the hustle and bustle of city life and settle in her own home.

She dug a garden, planted potatoes, and did household chores, forgetting for a while about the world of cinema. When one day she was offered to become the chairman of a collective farm, Tatyana Agafonova agreed. Then, for several years, she restored the collective farm, fought against rampant drunkenness, was engaged in agricultural work - she managed to do a huge number of the most necessary and varied things.

Finding a Source of Income

Unfortunately, after some time the program was closed. Tatiana had to gather all her strength and courage to try to break into a new profession.

She had a hard time in business. Tatyana Agafonova was the director of the company, tried to join the trade in spare parts for passenger cars, and worked as a legal adviser. She tried with great difficulty to combine business and art, becoming the head of one creative association. Things started to work out little by little, but 1998 came. The default crossed out everything and ended Tatyana’s fledgling career as a businesswoman.

Calls from Mosfilm came less and less often, and then with incomprehensible and unacceptable offers for her to play tiny roles in films about bandits and policemen. All this did not suit her. The desire to hide or run away grew stronger.

How a phrase from a Soviet film became prophetic for actress Tatyana Agafonova

From 1983 until the end of the turbulent nineties, actress Tatyana Agafonova actively acted in films.

She played her debut role in “Singles are provided with a hostel.”

The hero of Alexander Mikhailov once shouts out in his hearts, “You will never see your groom!”

The words were addressed to Liza Lapteva, played by Agafonova, and became prophetic for the actress. That is, she saw suitors, but never got married, and did not know the happiness of motherhood.

Tatyana Agafonova is a character actress, and such actresses, as a rule, play bright but secondary heroines. There are few leading roles in her filmography, and even those appeared in the 2000s. For example, the role in “Route of Mercy”.

Despite the fact that in recent years the actress has often appeared on screens, starring in both films and TV series, viewers remember her primarily for her long-standing roles.

Roles in Soviet films “Singles are provided with a hostel”, “Don’t go, girls, to get married”, “On the main street with an orchestra”, “The grass is green”.

And of course, “Intergirls”.

Verka the Moskvich says only a few phrases. But she is remembered just as well as other girls with reduced social responsibility from the film, which once excited inexperienced Soviet viewers.

I’m alone, you know, completely alone. And no one around...

In Intergirl, Tatyana Agafonova certainly played a tragic heroine.

She was offered roles in the 90s, although much less than at the beginning of her acting career. In those years, many actors were unemployed. However, Agafonova does not like to sit.

She received a legal education. Worked as a legal consultant. For some time she sold auto parts and even repaired cars.

And then she left Moscow completely, to a village in the Tver region, to her small homeland, where she headed a collective farm under the optimistic name “Forward.”

Things on the collective farm were not at all optimistic; it needed competent leaders (Tatyana Ivanovna graduated from another university and received a manager’s diploma).

Agafonova dedicated ten years of her life to the collective farm “Forward”. She also managed to act in films, although not often. In 2006, a new stage in her acting career began.

Tatyana Agafovonvna is still active and full of energy. She also has a great sense of humor. To questions about why her personal life did not work out, she replies: “I always dreamed of tall, beautiful ones who would be carried in my arms, I came across small ones whom I myself would carry in my arms.”

How did the acting fate of the youngest “intergirl” - actress Natalya Shchukina turn out?
