Summary of video lecture by Dmitry Karpachev “How to love a child correctly”

Let's dot all the i's right away. Personally, I do not consider Dmitry Karpachev a professional killer. But I was not surprised when I learned that as a result of his “treatment” as a professional psychologist, his patients say goodbye to life. I do not consider myself a fan of the famous Ukrainian showman Dmitry Karpachev. But I wouldn’t call myself his direct opponent either. In my opinion, as a psychologist, Dmitry Karpachev is too categorical and harsh. Moreover, too often Dmitry Karpachev makes scandalous conclusions, denouncing the heroes of his television shows. Instead of asking questions like a TV presenter or psychologist, Dmitry Karpachev makes scandalous value judgments that sound like the opinion of the audience and even the country. Perhaps this is the cost of a television show?

The famous psychologist Dmitry Karpachev regularly performs show programs on Ukrainian television. Recently, advertisements for free webinars by Dmitry Karpachev began to appear on the Internet and especially on social networks. However, the facts speak for themselves. A professional psychologist whose job is to heal people with psychological problems harshly accuses the patient on live television. As a result, the patient commits suicide (hanged himself). Let's now look into this step by step. To understand what a psychologist can teach, you need to understand what he was taught.

Who is Dmitry Karpachev?

Dmitry Karpachev was born in 1978 in Kirovograd. He has been engaged in professional psychological counseling since 2003. Dmitry Karpachev is an NLP master practitioner, certified international NLP trainer, Gestalt therapist, coach, business trainer. Moderator of the EU project “Rights of women and children in Ukraine - communication component.” Cooperation with the STB TV channel began with the project “Rules of Life”, where Dmitry Karpachev became a consulting psychologist. Since 2011, Dmitry Karpachev has been the host of the social reality show “Honey, we are killing children.” Since 2012, Dmitry Karpachev has been hosting the socio-psychological show “Rules of Life”. “Lie Detector” is a Ukrainian adaptation of the British show The Moment of Truth. Dmitry Karpachev is the host of the projects: “One for All”, “Royalize Our Family”, “Vagitna at 16”, the special project “Forgiveness”, the post-show “Donki-Mothers”.

Dmitry Karpachev reveals his journalistic credo:

“My task as the leader of STB social projects is to give people a chance. We cannot guarantee that they will take this chance. But we give everyone a chance to change and promote these changes in every possible way.”

Biography of Dmitry Karpachev

Dmitry Vilyamovich Karpachev - psychologist, gestalt therapist, expert in family relationships, coach, international category trainer in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) techniques, former host of about a dozen high-rating highly social projects on the Ukrainian STB channel, including “One for All”, “Pregnant in 16", "Honey, we are killing children."

Psychologist and TV presenter Dmitry Karpachev

In 2020, the TV presenter left the STB channel, deciding to devote more time to his family and his own business. According to unofficial information, he won the Green Card lottery and allegedly intends to emigrate to the United States.

What is Dmitry Karpachev's education?

According to Dmitry Karpachev’s own profile, he received a basic education with a degree in marketing. In 1998-2003, Dmitry Karpachev received his education at the Kirovograd National Technical University (KNTU, formerly it was called KISHM). This profile has now been deleted, possibly as a result of an investigation into an incident in which professional “treatment” on live television directly led to the death of a patient. The same profile stated that from 2004 to 2007, Dmitry Karpachev received a second higher education at the Kirovograd Institute of Regional Management and Economics (KIRUE). There is no documentary evidence of this, no one remembers him there, but correspondence students appear for a week or two twice a year and this is normal.

It’s worse with another: the reality show “Kohana, we kill children” is preceded by a screensaver in which the announcer reports that the presenter Dmitry Karpachev is a candidate of psychological sciences. Now this is easier to check. Unfortunately, the check did not give a positive result. The Telecritique project sent an official request to UkrINTEI (Ukrainian Institute of Scientific, Technical and Economic Information). UkrINTE stores the entire database of abstracts and all candidate dissertations defended in Ukraine. The answer was negative: Dmitry Karpachev did not register his dissertation. Dmitry Karpachev is not a candidate of psychological sciences.

This was discussed back in January 2014 in an article about Dmitry Karpachev, “The TV presenter on the STB channel is not who they say he is.”

Dmitry Karpachev - biography

Dmitry comes from a small Ukrainian city - Kirovograd. He grew up as a diligent and inquisitive boy. Having successfully graduated from secondary school, he entered the faculty of a technical university in his hometown to major in marketing. He received his second (higher) education in the capital at the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine at the Higher School of Sociology. But, despite such successes in his main profession, Dmitry always showed interest in the psychological spheres of human essence. Therefore, having become involved in the field of marketing, I nevertheless decided to devote myself entirely to another science - psychology.

With great interest and enthusiasm, Dmitry Karpachev graduates from the Kirovograd Institute of Regional Management and Economics (Faculty of Psychology and Coaching). Behind him are many more specialized seminars and conferences not only in his native country, but also far beyond its borders. He is an active member of the Association of Psychologists and Psychotherapists of Ukraine (Kiev), has diplomas and certificates from Moscow and European organizations.

Why is Dmitry Karpachev credited with a non-existent scientific degree?

Just from a human point of view, it is interesting to understand why a famous TV presenter is officially named with a non-existent scientific degree? Is this a reason to raise the TV channel’s ratings with the non-existent authority of the TV presenter? Or the vanity of Dmitry Karpachev himself, who very often programs participants in television programs, loudly expressing various maxims as their public accuser. In my opinion, this looks like an element of the neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) technique. Those around him are programmed to perceive Dmitry Karpachev not just as a psychologist, but as a scientist with a dissertation in the field of psychology, i.e. a scientific figure, a more authoritative specialist than a doctor-psychologist. This is indirectly confirmed by the fact that Dmitry Karpachev declared his training at the Kyiv Association of Psychologists and Psychotherapists and Erickson College International in the specialties: “NLP Practitioner” and “NLP Master”, respectively.

Biography of Dmitry Karpachev: the road to psychology

After graduating from school, Dmitry received several higher educations. The first higher educational institution whose door the future leader knocked on was the Institute of Agricultural Engineering in Karpachev’s hometown of Kirovograd. Here the student studied not psychology at all, but marketing. Having received his first diploma, he went to study at the Higher School of Sociology at the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. But this was not enough for Dmitry Karpachev. He began studying psychology at the Kirovograd Institute of Regional Management and Economics, and then improved his qualifications at the Kyiv Association of Practicing Psychologists and Psychotherapists.

Among the institutions where Karpachev underwent certification are also the Moscow Gestalt Institute, the European Association of Psychology, and the International Erikson University. Over the years of training, STB presenter Dmitry Karpachev became a family psychologist, gestalt therapist, and international category trainer in NLP techniques.

Television career

The biography of Dmitry Karpachev was replenished with information in the column “Participation in filming” in 2009. The popular presenter began by working as a psychological consultant in the show “Savik Shuster Studio” on the First National. After 2 years, he was invited to the STB channel to host the journalistic program “Rules of Life,” which examined many practical and psychological problems of the population. For example, in the studio they talked about medical errors, hazing in the army, the pros and cons of early marriages, and also gave advice on how to protect yourself from scammers and thieves.

The program's high ratings and the success of its empathetic, kind host prompted the channel to create another show with Dmitry Karpachev. It was an adaptation of the British format Honey, we're killing the kids - Honey, we're killing children.

Dmitry Karpachev soon became the host of other projects, such as:

  • Save our family
  • Lie detector,
  • Pregnant at 16
  • One for all.

All shows with Karpachev were highly social, touching on family conflicts and problems of raising children.

Dmitry Karpachev today

The popular presenter decided to return to the STB channel again after a two-year break. He will host the new show Supermom in 2020, where contestants will compete to be the best mom in the country.

Dmitry Karpachev teaches how to kill with words.

I don’t know if the original goal of the talk show “One for All” was to drive one of the participants to suicide. Every TV presenter dreams of being able to put hard pressure on his interlocutor, but not everyone succeeds. Dmitry Karpachev succeeds in this very often. Dmitry Karpachev put pressure on a murder witness very well in one of the programs of the “One for All” series. It was dedicated to the high-profile murder in Gorlovka, when a 16-year-old girl stabbed a 19-year-old girl 105 times in the presence of two boys, threatening them with a Rottweiler dog. Live broadcast to the whole country, Dmitry Karpachev accused one of the witnesses: “Vasya, what do you say? Maybe the truth: “I sat and watched your mother being killed. I was afraid of dogs."

Here I am on the side of Dmitry Karpachev. And not even because the mother of a small child was killed in the presence of two adult boys, but because calmly looking at such cruelty means being an accomplice. Sometimes even words are enough to stop a crime, and the silence and indifference of others only inflames the criminal. In this situation, Dmitry Karpachev acted as a judge, passing a sentence on the one whom the court acquitted. a judge, a public prosecutor, but not a psychologist, not a TV presenter. This was absolutely unprofessional from the point of view of a TV presenter, especially a psychologist!

Television career of Dmitry Karpachev

Dmitry Karpachev became known to a wide circle of people precisely as a TV presenter. Before appearing on the silver screen, he worked exclusively in Kirovograd, conducting psychological trainings and consultations.

His television career began in 2009. At first, the role was relatively minor - a psychologist in the show “Schuster Live”. Perhaps such work did not bring large earnings or any fame, but it became the first step towards building a successful career.

In 2011, Karpachev moved from Channel One to STB. This was definitely the right move, because it was here that he announced himself as a presenter and psychologist, and acquired a wide circle of fans. It’s not surprising, because it was difficult not to love the calm, ironic and attractive man. Dmitry was ideally suited to the role of a judge in various social projects. The reality show “Honey, We’re Killing the Children,” an analogue of the English project Honey, We’re Killing the Kids, was dedicated to problem families (currently closed).

Then Dmitry’s popularity grew exponentially - “Lie Detector”, “Pregnant at 16”, “One for All”, “Mothers and Daughters”, “Save Our Family”. Each of these programs attracted a wide audience of viewers. A large part of the credit for this success is Karpachev’s participation. He resolves conflicts skillfully and tactfully, nevertheless “revealing” the feelings of not only a specialist, but a father, a living person. According to insider information, the presenter rarely uses prepared texts, but improvises “as the action progresses.”

In addition to his career as a TV presenter, Dmitry Karpachev is actively working as a trainer in NLP, psychology, and conducts seminars.

He is also a regular consulting psychologist and an expert on many other television projects, in particular, the television magazine “Everything will be good!”

What is Dmitry Karpachev not saying?

First of all, all these free webinars and online courses that attract enormous attention from the audience of social networks and search engines in the name of the scandalous showman Dmitry Karpachev are not at all free. Under the guise of free courses, there is a rich infusion of information. Dmitry Karpachev, who has undergone NLP programming practice, has created proven online techniques that, using neuro-linguistic programming, zombify listeners as potential buyers of paid courses. A hodgepodge of excerpts from psychological practices is interspersed with direct calls to action like “Click the register button.”

There is nothing new in these free webinars. Only the technique of presenting information is relatively new: well-known catchy phrases in the style of “Men are from Mars, and women are from Venus!” interspersed with NLP programming techniques and landing page sales techniques. Understanding the psychology of the crowd, Dmitry Karpachev lures gullible people (and in everyone’s life at any moment there are unresolved psychological problems), provides a lot of plausible information and promises a solution to psychological problems. But for money. Here, too, there are sales techniques in the form of crossed out prices, promotions, and calls to urgently register before the promotion time ends. Not everyone will have the question: “Is a hodgepodge of quotes pulled from free books by other psychologists worth the money?”

Integrity and honesty of Dmitry Karpachev

How did Dmitry Karpachev become famous? Primarily due to his appearances as a presenter on the STB channel in many shows. But not everyone likes Dmitry Karpachev’s live performances. And that's not even the point. Personally, I do not blame Dmitry Karpachev, in many ways I like him. I am against deception and manipulation. Perhaps it was not Dmitry Karpachev who came up with the idea of positioning himself as a candidate of psychological sciences throughout the country in every program. But he knew that this was not true, right? Dmitry Karpachev, do you have the courage to accuse a young guy on live television to the whole country of being passive in front of a frenzied Rottweiler tearing off its leash and a teenager waving a knife and inflicting wounds on them? Where is your courage, why didn’t you, a principled accuser, at least off-air accuse those who, against your will, falsely exposed you as “PhD Dmitry Karpachev”? Or did you come up with the idea of presenting yourself so effectively to look more authoritative?

Television career

Since 2003, Dmitry Karpachev began private practice (as a psychologist), and his television career started in 2009, when one of the central channels invited him to become a psychologist for a tense and emotional political program (“Shuster Live”). After only two years of working on the STB channel, in 2011, Dmitry became the host of the program “Honey, we are killing children.” It is with her that the ascent to Olympus and people's love begin. Next there will be other, no less interesting projects, the high rating of which is due not only to vital and interesting stories, but also to the charisma of the TV presenter himself, his professionalism and human qualities. He is one of the few presenters who does not work according to a previously written script, but always conducts a live discussion with the heroes of his television programs.

Dmitry Karpachev: TV presenter or psychologist?

In an interview with the Telecritique project, Dmitry Karpachev: “I still don’t consider myself a TV presenter and identify more with a psychologist.” Dmitry Karpachev was asked the question: “Does psychotherapy lose much in the TV version?”

Dmitry Karpachev:

“I wouldn’t say that the differences are significant. In any case, I don’t differentiate them for myself; for me, every work with a person is a small psychotherapeutic session. This is especially evident in the Lie Detector project, where we are one on one with the client. It’s a little more difficult in the talk show “One for All” because there are other participants and the communication is more like a group dynamic. My recommendations for participants in the projects “Save Our Family” and “Honey, We Are Killing Children” are also very similar to psychotherapy. After all, there we work with the heroes almost the same way as if they came to my office.”

Now let’s think about it: the project almost always involves people in need of psychological help. Very often even psychiatric. What kind of help do they receive? A cozy office and the help of a qualified specialist who asks leading questions and helps a person find the answers himself and change himself, cure his fears and doubts? No, they get a live broadcast, a biased audience, the release of the most secret things to the public and direct biased accusations. Moreover, these unprofessional accusations lead to death, new mental trauma, and stress. Moreover, Dmitry Karpachev does not spare the children of people who are not known to be sick...

Dmitry Karpachev now

In 2020, Dmitry Karpachev’s infamous show “Honey, We Kill Children” officially aired on Russian television. The TV channel “Yu” started broadcasting the program. Also this year, the channel hosted the Russian premieres of other Karpachev shows - “Save Our Family” and “Lie Detector”.

The TV presenter himself was busy in 2020 with the launch of a new project, “Mothers and Daughters.” This is a post-project based on the show “Pregnant at 16” and showing how the fate of the former participants of the program turned out. The girls, already familiar to TV viewers, again come to Dmitry Karpachev’s studio to tell what problems and difficulties they encountered due to early pregnancy and how their relationships with loved ones developed after the birth of the child.

Dmitry Karpachev: NLP practitioner

The technique of neuro-linguistic programming is a step-by-step execution of instructions that is guaranteed to lead to a person’s transition to the desired psychological state. In short, neuro-linguistic programming can be considered the management of the human condition. This is something like modern “witchcraft”, a means of manipulating people’s behavior, a type of hypnosis with a person’s full consciousness.

Is Dmitry Karpachev a successful NLP practitioner? Dmitry Karpachev in his profile indicated that he received the education “NLP Practitioner”, “NLP Master”. Dmitry Karpachev is a certified “Master NLP Practitioner” (course by Annie K. Entus, a well-known Canadian NLP trainer in Russia). The NLP practitioner course even includes training in the practical application of Ericksonian hypnosis and the Boa Constrictor's Look at the Rabbit technique.

The negative side of such training is that the diploma is obtained in just
less than a month's courses . 26 days - NLP practitioner, 24 days NLP master practitioner, 24 days NLP master, 22 days using NLP in business or consulting, etc. The NLP Center, which issues these diplomas, honestly states: “The certificate of basic certification programs, issued in almost all Centers and Institutes of Neuro-Linguistic Programming in the world, is not a document conferring state qualifications and allowing one to get a job in the specialties “consultant”, “trainer” , “coach”, “psychologist”, “manager”, etc.”
On April 05, 2016, for $200, anyone could take an online training course from Dmitry Karpachev and Natalia Kholodenko “NLP and coaching techniques in the work of a psychologist.”

What is known about Dmitry Karpachev?

It is much easier to find a photo of Dmitry Karpachev than even his date of birth. A thorough search can only lead you to his official pages, which indicate December 1978. The date remains a mystery.

But it is reliably known that Dmitry was born in Kirovograd (Ukraine). According to “official” sources, there he received his first education as a marketer. He mastered the specialty of a psychologist and coach already in Kyiv. He also has a practitioner's diploma in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Karpachev’s biography indicates the completion of many courses and trainings. During a recent investigation by journalists, it turned out that not all certificates and diplomas were confirmed.

Behind the curtain of the mystery is the personal life of the presenter. The only thing known for certain is that he is married and has an only son, Svyatogor (with whom Dmitry “appeared” in a social video for the STB TV channel). But Karpachev hides his wife Irina from the general public. The only thing that the guesswork led to was her place of work. Presumably, Irina is a yoga instructor. Since 2009, the couple has lived and worked in the capital.

Is it possible to kill a person with a word?

Medical scientists believe that death from words is quite possible. It can be caused by adrenaline, which is caused by fear and can lead to damage to internal organs. In the course of research, doctors found that damage due to stress to the kidneys or liver cannot lead to rapid death of a person, but damage to the heart muscle leads to death. Under the influence of adrenaline, the intensity of heart contractions increases, fibrillation occurs, that is, a pathological very rapid heartbeat that resembles trembling. If the heartbeat does not return to normal, death may occur because the heart ventricles cannot pump blood. There is a medical term: iatrogenic is an unfavorable change in mental state caused by the actions of a doctor, which act as a negative suggestion and give rise to neurosis-like states.

Many people know about the existence of the Voodoo religion. Representatives of warring African tribes in ancient times rarely resorted to weapons, preferring to destroy their opponents using powerful rituals of black magic. So, they even have a ritual when a fellow tribesman is sentenced to death by the council of elders with just one word. It is easy to distinguish a person over whom such a ritual was performed from others: a dull look, a hunched figure, a complete lack of interest in life. The condemned man then leaves and dies. And death comes to him only because he believes in it.

The Jizn

Leave the children to their own devices, remaining an observer. This will encourage them to invent games, imaginary worlds, and non-standard leisure activities. Let your children get bored and don’t try to respond to every “I’m bored” with a list of entertainment. Sometimes it’s worth saying: “Well, just be a little bored,” and after five minutes they find something to do. A child's first independence is independence in play.

Allow to make mistakes

Here is a child assembling his first construction set. From your height, you are sure that he will certainly make a mistake and miss an important detail. Still, stop your impulse to intervene and assemble the model according to all the rules. Only by making mistakes and being mistaken do children learn to find a way out of difficult situations and correct their mistakes. Step in when help is needed and you are asked for it. In other cases, be proud of the words “I am myself.”

Praise for taking initiative

The children washed the dishes on their own, volunteered to set the table, reached the horizontal bar for the first time, rolled down a slide that they had been afraid to climb for several years, sewed a button on a shirt - rejoice with them. Don’t point out the dust left in the corners or the button sewn awry, but be sure to praise them for their desire to do something themselves. A child who has received praise at least once and felt the importance of being useful will certainly want to experience this feeling again.

Don't interfere with every step

Children's conflicts should be kept under review, but first give the participants the opportunity to resolve them themselves. Feel the moment when you need to step in and separate the quarreling children in different directions. But if it’s a verbal argument or an inability to share toys, let the children deal with the situation on their own, otherwise one of them will always rely on adults for help and manipulate it. Now they are learning to resolve disputes with peers in a simple game; in adulthood, this experience will allow them to find a way out of conflict situations with colleagues, bosses, and family members.

Take children seriously

Be considerate of their judgment so that in the future they will feel free to come for help and know that their problems will not be belittled. Children trust adults who treat them with respect, listen and talk as equals, without using childish language, teasing or ridiculing.

Maintain an environment in your home that is comfortable for independent activities:

low cabinets from which the child himself will be able to get clothes, hooks for outerwear hanging at eye level, a toothbrush and soap at an accessible level, the ability to pick up an apple from the table or easily wash it by placing a special step at the sink. It is advisable to organize everyday life so that children do not have to constantly ask adults for help with basic things.

Bring adults up to date

Useful things can be taught in everyday situations: how to put food on a belt in a supermarket, pay for travel on public transport, where to throw away garbage. Meet halfway when children want to cut their first salad or mix cream for a cake with a mixer. Keep them informed about business affairs: let them shine a flashlight when you take readings of apartment meters, go with you to the bank to pay bills or send a parcel to the post office.

Assign household responsibilities

Each family decides for itself what it will do: make the bed, wash the floor in their room, clean the aquarium - the child should have his own area of responsibility and it is advisable that adults do not touch these matters.

Parental busyness and haste can stand in the way of helping children become independent.

It’s easier to dress your child yourself than to wait 10 minutes, it’s easier to make the bed for him, because it will be neat and the way you like it, and, of course, you will make a sandwich much faster than children. However, this is the case when haste plays a bad joke: the child is not allowed to understand that there are things that he is capable of doing on his own and doing them well.

Driving a person to suicide.

You will say: “All these are fairy tales, far-fetched!” Maybe. To do this, you need to reach an impressionable person who will believe in words that lead to death. But if this did not work, would there be articles for incitement to suicide in the criminal codes of all countries of the world?

Criminal Code of Ukraine: Criminal Code of Ukraine. Article 120. Incitement to suicide. Part 1. Driving a person to suicide or attempted suicide, which is a consequence of cruel treatment, blackmail, coercion to illegal actions or systematic humiliation of his human dignity, is punishable by restriction of freedom for a term of up to three years or imprisonment for the same term.

“Criminal Code of the Russian Federation” dated 06/13/1996 N 63-FZ (as amended on 02/07/2017) Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Article 110. Incitement to suicide Inducing a person to suicide or attempted suicide by means of threats, cruel treatment or systematic humiliation of human dignity victim - is punishable by restriction of freedom for a term of up to three years, or forced labor for a term of up to five years, or imprisonment for the same term.

Is Dmitry Karpachev a killer?

I am not a psychologist, not a judge, not a public prosecutor. I am not trying to express an idea, much less propagate it as correct. I'm just asking a question. And I suggest you think about it. Can Dmitry Karpachev, mastering the technique of neuro-linguistic programming, which is very close to hypnosis, kill a person with a word? Or bring it to such a state that the person himself commits suicide? One of the postulates of NLP: NLP in its impact controls the influence on goals, changes in the environment and human relationships. If they are grossly negative, irrevocably subjugating consciousness and will, then such actions cannot be applied within the framework of neuro-linguistic programming. It’s like when handling a gun, you first of all learn not to point it at people in order to avoid tragedy. Undoubtedly, Dmitry Karpachev, as a certified NLP practitioner, NLP master, NLP trainer, knows about the harm that he can cause to his patients. It’s just not clear why it doesn’t fulfill these simple requirements and cripples more than it heals...

Let's be more attentive to our words, which can hurt other people, offend them, cause them suffering or harm to their health, even if you are not such a successful NLP practitioner as Dmitry Karpachev. Feel free to express your comments. Share our article on social networks!

Family of Dmitry Karpachev

As a rule, Dmitry tries not to comment on issues related to his personal life. His family consists of three people - his wife Irina and son Svyatogor. He met his future wife while still an unknown psychologist, in his hometown of Kirovograd. Irina was always there and not only inspired Dmitry to new achievements, but was also always a reliable support, a loyal friend and a loving person. She became a wife in that very turning point year (2009), associated with the move and a new stage in life. A few months after marriage, a young couple learns that soon a new person will appear in their lives, as it turns out later - their beloved son. Now he is already five years old.

Irina devotes herself entirely to her family and raising her child. According to Dmitry himself, his wife works as a yoga trainer, but this is more of her hobby than her job.
