All these experiences faded into the background, because a year ago, trouble happened in Catherine’s family. Lisa became so ill that she needed urgent hospitalization. For a long time, doctors could not understand what was happening to the child and even initially sent her home. But the very next day the girl felt even worse. This time doctors diagnosed peritonitis. “It turned out that children now have a common mutation - the appendix is curved incorrectly, towards the back. Lisa was operated on, then there was intensive care. At first, Gusena slept all the time, this is called medicated sleep. Then, when she came to her senses a little, I began to take her for walks around the intensive care unit, because even through the pain she had to walk with her legs and not lie still,” Ekaterina recalls the difficult time.
Soon Lisa began to recover and was transferred to a regular ward. The baby was not allowed to eat or drink, and in the ward there were children with injuries, to whom they brought treats. “Everyone chews, but Gusena can’t do absolutely anything. I was indignant: why not separate it – appendicitis separately, injuries separately,” Volkova said.
Now Catherine’s family lives in their house, which they have taken out with a mortgage. There is constant renovation going on there, which takes a lot of effort and time. The actress admitted that everyday problems eat up the romance in her relationship with her husband. But they always find a common language and try to overcome all difficulties together.
