Daddy's daughters: 5 heirs of Russian stars who grew up to be copies of their fathers

Height, weight, age. How old is Mikhail Galustyan

From the first appearance of the “Burnt by the Sun” team, the eyes of the public watching the KVN game were riveted on Mikhail Galustyan. His images invariably caused laughter and received thunderous applause. Soon he had numerous fans who knew everything about the comedian, including his height, weight, age, and how old Mikhail Galustyan was. The man is on the verge of his 40th birthday, and his ability to make people laugh has only gotten better with time.

Mikhail Galustyan, whose photos in his youth and now can be seen not only on the Internet, but also in newspaper and magazine publishing houses, looks like Carlson. With a height of 163 cm, our hero weighs 68 kg. The man is actively involved in sports, visiting the gym every day. When the tour schedule does not allow this, the comedian performs a set of exercises.

Mikhail Galustyan: Do you want it to be good? Do it yourself!

On January 13, a new season of the series “Zaitsev+1” starts on TNT, where the famous French actor Gerard Depardieu played the father of the hero Mikhail Galustyan, Fedor. It turned out that the movie dad and his son are very similar.

— Mikhail, would you like to have such a rich and famous dad like Depardieu in real life?

- On the one hand, of course, it’s great to have everything from birth. But, on the other hand, a man must achieve everything himself and from scratch. When you achieve everything yourself, then life is much easier than when everything has already been done for you and everything has been prepared. Moreover, when you have a famous father, it is difficult to get out of his shadow.

— In what language did you communicate with Gerard Deparde?

- In English. I don’t know the language perfectly, but it was enough for us to communicate, we understood each other. And during the filming, I spoke to him in Russian, and he answered me in French.

— I wonder how Depardieu ended up in the series “Zaitsev+1”? Surely he could become a patient in “Interns” or the father of one of the “girls”?

- Well, I missed such a partner. I called him and he happily agreed (laughs). In fact, this is the merit of the TNT channel. This is a very creative channel that does not look for easy ways. Moreover, the role of my character’s father suits Gerard very well! He is very open, charismatic, natural. Such a man! Fedor’s father should be exactly like this. Although... Depardieu is an actor with such a palette that not only this role can suit him.

—Have you established contacts—for the future—with your “dad”? Well, as is customary here in Russia, everything is based on acquaintance.

- Yes, we stopped (laughs). My partner Armen Ananikyan and I have our own film company, FreshFilm, and I am a producer in it. Now Gerard is inviting me to make a remake of one of the French paintings, the rights to which belong to him. We are currently in the negotiation stage.

— The producers of the series “Zaitsev+1” claim that the fees of Depardieu and domestic stars are comparable.

— I don’t know how much domestic stars and Gerard Depardieu earn. In addition, the fee is such a fickle value. I myself have one fee in one project, and another in another. It all depends on the level of work and my interest in it.

Gerard Depardieu became the movie dad of Mikhail Galustyan.

— What if you’re filming at your place?

“I can do this for free, with the expectation that I will later earn this money as a producer.”

— That is, you can put zeros next to your last name on the statement?

“And vice versa, I can write something out for myself.” (Laughs.) In fact, I don’t write out or sign anything at all. I have an agent, just like an actor. And there is a director of the company - like a producer. Made yourself comfortable, huh? I covered myself from all sides and am engaged in creativity myself, rather than counting zeros and ones.

“I can work as an obstetrician”

— A couple of years ago you entered the law academy. For what?

— I don’t have enough legal education to work.

— Maybe a producer needs an economic education more?

- I can’t think economically, I’m not used to saving. And legal knowledge is needed to work with copyrights. Now, when I study some documents, I already understand: here are the pitfalls, they can be circumvented in this way. Knowledge of the legal framework makes it possible to take bold steps. And vice versa - do not step into something bad.

Mikhail Galustyan’s main victory is his beautiful wife Victoria.

— Many years ago you received the profession of paramedic-obstetrician, was it a conscious decision?

— Yes, at that time I wanted to be a doctor. And in our medical school in Sochi we had the following faculties: nursing and paramedic. There was also an additional department where they trained as a paramedic-obstetrician. And it was the only language used to teach foreign languages and issue a diploma of an international specialist. That's where I went. That is, it is not that I had a choice between obstetrics and dentistry and I chose the first. Obstetrics went in addition to paramedics and language. If the movie doesn’t work out, I can work in an ambulance and provide first aid or assist in childbirth.

— What made you change your mind and not become an obstetrician?

- KVN. I started playing a lot then. The spirit of adventurism prevailed over the desire to sit in the hospital and check the pulse and blood pressure of patients. At the age of 18 I realized: I want to play in KVN! They take my autographs there, but not here. Why should I go to the doctor?

— Did you find obstetric education useful when your wife gave birth?

— I did not deliver my wife’s child. I went to the Central Clinical Hospital and got my wife a job there.

— Has your medical education ever come in handy?

- Yes, I saved people’s lives. Five times exactly. If it weren't for me, they would have died. Once I was walking through the city, and a man next to me fell. I see he has a knife wound. I helped him, treated the wound, and waited for the ambulance. These were still student days. And recently we played airsoft. Someone jumped off and tore their fingertips. I helped, processed it.

“I’m hurrying home to bathe my daughters”

- You have two daughters. The eldest, Estella, is three and a half years old, the youngest, Elina, is almost two. When your second one was born, you said that you would now focus on children's and family films.

— This spring, our film company FreshFilm will release the family comedy “The Gift.” This is an attempt to interest the family

audience for Russian cinema. Unfortunately, we have very few films that are aimed at this category of viewers. Name a modern Russian film that you would recommend to a child aged 6 to 12 years old. Yeah, you can’t even remember! And all because there are practically no such paintings lately, the niche is not occupied.

In "The Gift" I play an animator who works at children's parties in a funny panda costume. He is invited to entertain children at the birthday party of the oligarch's 8-year-old son. By coincidence, these two heroes go on a long journey across Russia. We filmed “The Gift” in Moscow and Gelendzhik. The result was a very bright, sunny and positive film.

— “The Gift” is a story about a boy Artem, whose father devotes all his time to business and work. Do you have enough time so that your daughters don’t end up in Artem’s situation? So that they have not only all the components of a prosperous life, but also parental attention?

— I try to be with my family, pay attention to my daughters. But this is not happening to the extent that we would like. What can you do - work... You also have to work for work.

— Do you have special conditions in your contracts? For example, you have the right to leave strictly at eight in the evening. Or spend the weekend with your family.

“If I didn’t get home by nine, then I’m in no hurry, I work quietly until one in the morning. If I understand that I can be free at about eight o’clock, then I rush home to give the kids a bath and chat with them a little before bed.

— Really, as a producer, can’t you prescribe special conditions for yourself?

— As a producer, on the contrary, I can only work twice as hard. Everyone leaves, but I still stay to finish something.

— How do you take part in raising children?

— I choose the vector of development of education. Producer work. (Laughs.) For example, I determine what the children need and tell my wife: “Please find an English tutor.” Victoria is looking. Or I say: “Choose a pool so that the child learns to swim.” I'm providing funding for all of this. I can say: “The children need to go to the sun.” And they go to warmer climes. It turns out that I come up with all this, and my wife implements it.

Nikolai Valuev’s daughter Ira starred with her dad and Mikhail Galustyan in the family comedy “The Gift.”

— Is there an area in raising children where you are a performer and not a producer? You personally take people to kindergarten, have you ever been to a parent-teacher meeting?

— As a performer, no. More like a supervisory authority. I can come to the kindergarten and find out what the children were fed and what they did today. Or check if the video cameras are working. Do you know that children are kidnapped straight from kindergartens? And one more thing: the law on privacy does not work in our country. A photographer from some newspaper will come to take pictures of my kids. If you wanted, you took a photo, and then you sue the publication. Therefore, it is better to practice prevention.

- Let's talk about the holidays. Do your children believe in Santa Claus?

— My wife and I came to the conclusion: it is important that children understand that it is we who give them gifts, and not Santa Claus.

- You don’t want them to believe in Santa Claus?

- But why? Let them believe. Just let them know about the parents too.

— That is, in kindergarten, Santa Claus gives gifts to all children, but yours are given gifts by mom and dad?

- Well, look... It’s better for my child to tell someone that Santa Claus doesn’t exist than to find out from someone else and destroy his dream.

- Even here without magic!

- Why without magic? Magic from parents!

- Okay, do your children order you what to give them for the holiday?

- No, they are still small. Well, what kind of order can there be in 3.5 years? The wishes of the eldest daughter look something like this. I ask: “Estella, what do you want?” - “I want a cat.” - "Fine. You're wearing a cat." Another month later: “Estella, what do you want?” - “I want a cat.” - “For another cat.” A month later I ask: “Estella, what do you want?” - “I want a turtle.” As a result, I go to the store and immediately buy a lot of cats and turtles.

The Bearded Man’s phrase “understand and forgive” has become a catchphrase. Photo: Evgenia GUSEVA

- Is it good when dreams come true so easily?

- No, that’s why it’s important to stimulate the child so that he gets what he wants for something, and not just like that. I treat my children exactly the same way my parents once treated me. For example, if I want a bike, that means I have to finish the year without any C grades. Do I want a computer? This means that the annual grade in Russian should be “five”. My children at this stage should eat well, go to bed on time, obey their parents. For example, my eldest daughter loves to run around the house barefoot. I say: “Estella, you can’t walk barefoot.” She: “And I want to.” I told her: “You can’t!” She: “And I want to!” I ask: “Do you want to get such and such?” She: “I want.” “Okay, but there’s a condition: you can’t run barefoot.” She: “Oh, I understand, I don’t go barefoot.” This is pretty much how we live.

— Tell me, did you believe in Santa Claus as a child?

- Well, in preschool age I believed that’s what my mother says. Later I realized that Santa Claus is an uncle in disguise, and parents give gifts. Before the New Year, I climbed into the closet at home on the top shelf and found gifts there. So I knew in advance what they would give me.

— Tell me, do you work on New Year’s Day?

- No.

- What if someone made you an offer that you couldn’t refuse?

“Then I couldn’t refuse him.”

— How did you celebrate this New Year?

- Like the whole country. TV, champagne, Olivier, Vladimir Vladimirovich, kisses, phone calls.

— By the way, the Olympic Games are coming soon. Will you go?

- Necessarily! I'm from Sochi, so I will act as the host.

— What competitions would you like to watch?

— Biathlon, figure skating.

— Maybe you took the initiative in advance and opened a cafe or hotel in Sochi?

- No. I live in Moscow, so I don’t have the opportunity to do all this. After all, if you want it to be good, do it yourself!

Biography and personal life of Mikhail Galustyan

The biography of Misha Galustyan began in the late 70s of the last century. At birth, the boy was named Nshan in honor of his paternal grandfather. His father, Sergei Nshanovich Galustyan, worked in the canteen as a cook. Mother - Susanna Ardashovna Galustyan was a medical worker. Our hero has a younger brother, David, he was born 6 years after the birth of Mikhail.

From childhood, the comedian showed his creative talent. Even in kindergarten, Galustyan delighted with songs, dances, and poems. He doesn't remember a time when he didn't play on stage.

He entered 1st grade with great enthusiasm. The boy was happy that he was learning something new. In parallel with school, our hero begins to attend a theater studio. Mikhail was engaged in martial arts.

From the 5th grade, Galustyan studied at the gymnasium. The guy improved his grades. From that time on, he became popular. His performances at school events always caused a sensation.

During his school years, the comedian began playing in KVN. With his team, Mikhail becomes the winner of this game in the Krasnodar region.

After graduating from school, Galustyan decided to become a medical worker. He is studying at medical school to become an obstetrician. Mikhail, having received his diploma, decides that this is not his thing. The comedian decides to change his specialty by enrolling in one of the faculties at the Sochi Institute of Tourism.

In his first year at university, the guy began playing in KVN for the institute team “Burnt by the Sun.” Soon the team was noticed by Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov and offered to play in Moscow.

Over the course of several years in the Major League, all participants become incredibly popular. Having won at the beginning of the new millennium, Galustyan is engaged in various creative projects. He is invited to participate in various television show programs. It was from this time that the creative biography and personal life of Mikhail Galustyan have been popular.

The showman's personal life is as happy as his creative biography. He is happily married and has two daughters. The man hopes to become the father of a son after some time.

Mikhail Galustyan: “My wife checks me all the time”

Despite the rain and traffic jams, Mikhail Galustyan was there minute by minute - we met at the Kamergerka cafe in the center of Moscow. On the eve of the premiere of the film “All About Men,” in which he acts as a producer, Mikhail told StarHit about his secret business, communication with a psychologist and the reasons why he does not help his brother.

“Sometimes I act like a child”

- Mikhail, summer has passed, but somehow you haven’t tanned...

I've only been working for the last few months. In July I managed to escape - my wife and I flew to Venice for the weekend, it was my gift for her anniversary. Holding hands, we walked through the streets, rode a gondola along the canals...

— Are your daughters traditionally sent to their grandparents in Sochi for the summer?

Yes, they just returned. Tanned, happy. Estella and Elina love these summer holidays with my parents - they are interested there: the sea, the garden, mom and dad come up with all sorts of entertainment. My father celebrated his 65th birthday on August 26th. Unfortunately, we managed to fly only on the birthday itself, and then back at night. I gave him a chicken coop - with roosters and quails. They have a household there... Mom, however, grumbled, saying, “I need to devote so much time to this, in the end I will have to do everything.” Dad is calm...

Are your parents still working or retired?

I constantly persuade them to do this! But dad, for example, needs society, communication. He works not because he needs money, but he simply likes to be among friends and like-minded people. Mom was a doctor all her life, now retired. She has enough to do around the house. Moreover, we also have a grandmother there - she is 92 years old. Mom is looking after her. Grandma worked all her life in the sanatorium - she cleaned the wards, it’s still not dawn at home, she washes the floors herself. In general, he is in good, vigorous health.

— Do you often get to see your younger brother David? Are you close?

He now has a girlfriend - Armina. We are already hinting to him, like, when is the wedding? But as a man, I will never insist - he will decide for himself. While he has problems with employment, he cannot find a normal job. My brother, after several years with me at the Comedy Club Production, returned to Sochi and said: “The capital is for callous people!” And he is a man of fine spiritual organization. I think David has everything ahead, he’s only 30. He writes and comes up with fantasy scenarios.

- Why don’t you involve him in your projects?

Moscow is a huge city, there are such specialists here... I will not make allowance for the fact that this is my brother if in the end the quality suffers! He is also interested in airsoft, like me. But for him it's a hobby.

— Maybe it’s worth opening and hanging on it the Sochi branch of the Federation of Military Tactical Games, which you head?

I do not rule out that a branch will appear. But the person who will lead it must also have organizational skills. And David is creative again!

— Do you often go out to play “war games”?

We have a team, even a whole block - “Recruit”. However, lately, unfortunately, I have been doing more administrative work. But I try to play regularly. Airsoft is very popular now - with weapons where a regular plastic ball is used as a striking element. Without paint, by the way, it’s a competition for honesty. We organize championships and festival games. This is an active holiday. Don't sit at the computer! Although I play these kinds of games on the console - military-tactical ones.

— Do girls take part in “shootouts” just like boys?

We are now launching a separate project for them, “Women’s Division”. We held a casting and selected 20 physically fit girls, approved by psychological tests, who could shoot, jump, run and knew the history of Russia.

— How else do you like to relax?

In winter there is a bathhouse, in summer there is a beach. This, however, did not have time to lie down. We were actively preparing the film “All About Men.” Plus, we had a busy schedule with Alexander Revva - we are touring with concerts. This year marks 17 years of our friendship. We communicate with families. We go to each other’s holidays, birthdays, including children’s.

— Many of your friends from the industry are opening restaurants. But few people know that the establishment we are in now is yours...

I just don’t stick out this fact, I don’t put my face on the sign. I am careful about the restaurant business; the market is very difficult. You can run into dishonest competitors who will throw a fly on your plate and trumpet: “We were in Galustyan’s restaurant, but you didn’t understand what was in the food!” And this will play a cruel joke on my image as an artist. In this case, with “The Chamberlain,” I mostly trusted my partner in the film company, Armen Ananikyan. He is more involved in this area. I already have enough projects: cinema, television, federation, hotel business in Sochi.

Mikhail produced the film “All About Men,” which will be released on September 1 // Photo: Dmitry Drozdov

— Is your wife complaining that you’re practically never at home?

Oh, she has no time for that, she is raising my children. And he studies, studies, practices psychology...

“Haven’t you finished yet?”

As the Chinese sages say, this lesson cannot be completed, you can move to the next level.

— Is your spouse practicing psychological techniques on you?

Vika told me that they have a rule: do not bring work into the house. But sometimes I notice that she phrases questions differently. For example, it initially gives three answer options. And my choice determines what conclusion she will draw. From the series “What do you like better – a tomato or a cucumber?” As he asks, it happens out of the blue. Sometimes it feels like I’m just passing psychological tests.

— You yourself recently graduated from the Law Academy. Did your new knowledge come in handy in any way?

When drawing up agreements and contracts. If earlier I completely relied on lawyers, now I am not ashamed to study the contract myself, talk about inconsistencies, and make corrections.

— Are you saving on lawyers?

I’m still not exactly a professional - I graduated from college, but I don’t have time for practice. Now, whenever I see a legal error, I focus on it. I don’t even do this in my papers. Like a child who has learned his letters, he goes and reads the signs. He learned, he can afford it!

— You have admitted more than once that you are very emotional. Are you arguing with Vika?

There are rather just disagreements... All girls are a little unpunctual. And I am monstrously obligatory. I can make a remark. “Stop taking so long to get ready,” for example. It is from such small “flares” that life and everyday life are built.

— How long can a showdown take?

I am a very easy-going person, Victoria is generally non-conflict, peace-loving, loving. We make up right away.

— Next year is your anniversary - 10 years of marriage. What do you usually give each other for the holidays?

The right things. We are practical people in this sense. My wife buys what I order. I tell her: “Vika, give me a walk in the park with you.” Or I hint that the purse is worn out... And I give her money, but regardless of whether it’s a holiday or not. So that it doesn’t happen that I didn’t get the gift right in color or type of clasp. She then comes and says: “Look, Mish, what a beautiful bag you bought me!”

— Are you in charge of the budget?

Yes, he is in my good hands! There is money that the spouse a priori manages - these are funds for home improvement, children, for herself. I don't even go there. But foreign policy, savings - it’s all on me.

— Do you have any plans to get your own home? I know that you have been renting housing outside the city for many years...

We think about this from time to time. But in general there is a crisis in the country. Let's wait until prices go down.

— Your eldest daughter Estella turned 6 years old on August 25. Surely he's getting ready for school?

As a man, I have rather stereotypical thinking on this topic: like a child should go to school at the age of 6–7, so that after graduation he has a year to think and choose an institute. Or immediately after the 9th grade go to Suvorovskoe and finish it... But since we have girls, the thought crept in: maybe we should send them to school at the age of 8? My daughters go to Lomonosov kindergarten. The eldest does gymnastics, swimming, music, and drawing. Vika fills their day with physical and mental activity as much as possible.

- Are the girls already asking for mercy?

We agreed with them: if they study hard, we will fulfill their wishes. The eldest says once: “Dad, I go to gymnastics, it’s so hard for me, I want a rabbit!” I bought. The youngest immediately asked for a toy.

- What do they give you?

My love. They make appliques, embroider, and make things out of plasticine. They write with all their might with felt-tip pens: “Dad, I love you!” It doesn’t always look presentable, of course. But even when written with errors, such text makes me smile.

- Which of you is the stricter teacher in the family?

I! Children obey me as an unquestioning authority. Sometimes I show strictness. But I don’t put it in a corner. It's easy enough to explain to them.

— You once admitted that you were going to baptize your youngest, but then when she reaches out for it...

We immediately baptized the eldest. And Elina is a bit of a cosmic person, she has her own perception of the world - on an intuitive level. Therefore, we decided that we would not impose anything on her for now. Of course, we go to church with the girls, the eldest takes a cross and says: “Oh my God.”

- Do you want more children? Maybe a son?

We are actively pursuing this issue. We don’t interfere, so to speak.

— “All About Men” is your seventh production project! And you, as far as I know, believe in numbers...

Wow! The time finally came when I got confused by the number of projects. This is probably an indicator. Not always good, really. Seven is a lucky number. Vika and I got married on 07/07/07. In general, attachment to numbers is, as a rule, after some life experience. From school and student years. Maybe I came across a ticket with that number as a child, and everything went from there.

— What qualities, in your opinion, should a real man have? Maybe you feel a lack of one of them?

I am such a balanced person that I have enough of everything. The only thing missing is time. And I consider myself as a fully formed man. A man must be decent - at least to himself. Moderately well-mannered. Although sometimes the absence of some qualities can be complemented by others. For example, not so well-mannered, but generous.

— The main role in the film is played by Dmitry Nagiyev. Why him?

Let's start with the fact that he is a real man. Plus, of course, we are friends. We met on the set of “The Best Movie.” Then I went to his play “Kysya”. We talked. He said: “Mishanya, you’re great! “I really respect Our Russia.” I also like what he does as a comedian. We maintain relationships outside of work sites. And, of course, let’s regard Dima, at least in my case of choosing him, as a mega-popular person. Perhaps he is now No. 1 man. After me, of course.
