Karen Lucille "Lucy" Hale
[1] (English: Karen Lucille "Lucy" Hale; born June 14, 1989[2][3], Memphis, Tennessee, USA) - American film and voice actress, country singer, songwriter, designer, model and social activist activist
Biography
Lucy Hale was born on June 14, 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee. The girl got her name in honor of her great-grandmother. Her parents' names are Julie Knight (nurse)[1] and Preston Hale. Lucy has an older sister, Maggie[1]. Their parents divorced when they were teenagers. Subsequently, Julie and Preston tied the knot again, so Lucy has 4 more half-sisters. From the age of 8, Lucy began taking vocal lessons[4], and at the age of 12 she switched to home schooling[5]. In 2012, Hale admitted that she suffered from anorexia as a teenager.[6]
At the age of 13, Lucy and her mother came to Los Angeles to take part in the talent show “American Juniors” (a division of “American Idol”). She became popular with her rendition of the 1980s hit “Call Me,” and later became one of the five finalists in the competition, and while part of the quintet, she recorded several solo songs for the album “Kids in America.” Also in 2003, Hale appeared on such television projects as An American Idol Christmas, Entertainment Tonight and Slime Time Live on Nickelodeon.
Lucy Hale: height, weight, parameters
Let's take a closer look at the actress's parameters. Lucy Hale is not tall - she is 5 feet and 2 inches, which is 157 centimeters. With such a short stature, the American actress weighs 119 pounds, or 54 kilograms. With parameters 81–61–84, her figure looks harmonious, and the echoes of a long-standing illness have long been invisible. Perhaps it was thanks to her short stature that Lucy Hale achieved such popularity, because her height is her distinctive feature and sets her apart from other actresses.
Actor career
At the age of 15, Lucy finally moved to Los Angeles[7][8], where she began to be invited to episodic roles in such TV series as “The O.C.,” “Drake and Josh”[9], “How to Survive School” , “How I Met Your Mother”, “Small Town Confidential”, “Wizards of Waverly Place”, where Lucy starred in several episodes of the first season.
In 2007, Hale appeared in the TV series Modern Family and Private Practice. Lucy also landed the role of Becky Summers in the fantasy series Biobaba, but the show was canceled due to a writers' strike. The actress also appeared in the project “The Apostles,” in which police officers try to separate their professional and personal lives. She played the role of Rachel, the daughter of one of the officers.
The same year, Lucy played one of the supporting roles in the melodrama “Talisman Jeans 2,” which also starred Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel and America Ferrera[4]. In 2008, Lucy received the main role in the channel series “Spoiled”[10] and starred in two television films: “Fear Island” and “Sorority Wars”.
With Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell, their "Pretty Little Liars" co-stars
Since 2010, Hale has starred in the hit series Pretty Little Liars. For this role, the actress was awarded five Teen Choice Awards[11], Young Hollywood Awards, etc.
In 2011, the actress appeared in Wes Craven's horror film Scream 4, and played the main role in the film A Cinderella Story 3. In 2012, she voiced one of the fairies in the animated film “Fairies: The Secret of the Winter Forest.”
In 2014, Hale guest starred in the ABC Family series Daddy and played the role of Piper Stockdale. She also appeared again in How I Met Your Mother. In 2018, the film “Truth or Dare” was released with Lucy in the title role.
Naya Rivera
In 2020, the Glee star released her memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up. From it, fans learned that Naya suffered from anorexia as a teenager. The actress said that the eating disorder appeared due to problems with her parents. Later, in an interview with People magazine, Naya admitted that she avoided food altogether: “When my mother packed my lunch for school, I would throw it away or find a reason not to take it with me. Even when my mother gave me money for school, I didn’t spend it, but saved it until the weekend. My eating habits (or lack thereof) were not noticed at school, I, just like everyone else, ate lunch in the cafeteria... One day I was so shaking with hunger that I decided to eat an apple, but instead I just kept it near my mouth, not daring to take a bite."
Music career
With the start of her acting career, her musical career faded into the background, but in 2011, Lucy recorded several soundtracks for her film “A Cinderella Story 3”[12]. Thanks to this, in 2012 she signed a contract with the largest recording label Hollywood Records.
On January 7, 2014, her debut single “You Sound Good to Me” was released, instantly topping the country charts in the USA, Canada and Australia[13]. Hale's country album, Road Between, was released on June 3, 2014. It is worth noting that Lucy personally took part in writing some of his compositions. The album received positive reviews from critics. The second single in support of the album was called "Lie A Little Better" and was released on July 28.
In October 2014, it became known that Hale also wrote a song for the debut album of young country singer Ashley Lisset.
Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet is an ardent Hollywood fighter for natural beauty. At the beginning of her career, Kate weighed 82 kg and lost weight for roles (including for “Titanic”). During the WE Day UK charity event, Kate said that it took her a long time to accept herself: “I learned to love my flaws and not apologize for who I am. I decided not to listen when they said my body wasn’t suitable. This is me, the real Kate." On the eve of the release of The Mountains Between Us in 2020, the actress told The Sun newspaper that she had not weighed herself in 12 years. “I didn’t want to be one of those women about whom they say: “Wow! She got back into postpartum shape at 12 weeks.” This is impossible. Most of the time we focus on useless things like weight." But after the birth of her second child, Kate went on a diet and lost 25 kg in 10 months. Now the actress maintains her weight with Pilates and limits herself to sweets.
Social activity
In 2011, Lucy collaborated with the Vans brand. At the same time, she signed a contract with Bongo and became the face of the company until 2013. In 2012, she represented the summer collection of the Bench fashion store chain.
In August 2013, Hale co-hosted the 2013 Teen Choice Award with Glee actor Darren Criss. At the same time, she was announced as the new beauty ambassador for the Mark brand. (an offshoot of Avon), and became involved in charity work through the company m.poverment by Mark, which helps women suffering from violence. Since January 2014, Hale has worked closely with the world's largest Children's Oncology Center.
In July 2014, Lucy created her own clothing line for the Hollister Co. brand. The collection was successfully sold out in the USA, Canada, Spain, France and England. She also hosted the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show in August.
In October 2014, Hale teamed up with Abercrombie & Fitch in the fight against the deliberate bullying and blackmail of teenagers.
Victoria Beckham
Now the 43-year-old mother of four children looks impeccable, but in her youth Victoria called herself “a fat girl with two thin ponytails.” In the era of the Spice Girls, the situation has changed, but the kilograms remain.
After her first pregnancy, Victoria rapidly lost 15 kilograms, which never returned. The star adheres to a strict diet immediately after giving birth: only five meals a day in portions that fit in the palm of your hand. These are high protein meals, green vegetables, water and berries and nuts as a snack. Not without star coach Tracy Anderson.
Personal life
From 2007 to 2009, Lucy dated David Henry, star of the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place.[14] Since January 2012, she dated actor Chris Zylka, but in September of the same year, the couple broke up[15].
In the summer of 2013, she had a short affair with the actor of the TV series “Revolution” Graham Rogers[16]. In April 2014, Hale began dating country singer Joel Kraus, but after two months of dating they decided to break up.[17]
Since June 2020, she has been dating Anthony Calabretta. The couple separated in May 2020[18].
Mary-Kate Olsen
The Olsen twins have never been known to be addicted to alcohol or anything stronger, but one of them had a hard time: in 2004, Mary-Kate overcame anorexia nervosa, and then had not very successful plastic surgery.
Treatment in a clinic in Utah lasted several months and affected Mary Kate's face. The chin of one of the sisters became noticeably sharper and her cheekbones became angular.
Now the actress and designer is 31 years old, she is married to Olivier Sarkozy and looks quite healthy.
