My blog existed long before the birth of the child. Then there was no Internet on every phone and posts were really messages to nowhere, under invented nicknames. 15 years have passed, and a lot has changed, with the advent of a family and daughter, my blog turned into a photo album of our travels and Matilda’s calendar of events. I believe that everything in life has its time, and now I devote all my strength to motherhood and real communication. Of course, any mother asks the most questions about raising a child and education; for me, this was a turning point in making the decision to move to live and go to school in Switzerland.

I should say a word of gratitude to my friends, the source of my continuous positivity. I love and know how to make real friends, and in moments of sadness I always call on my friends for help. To be a happy person is the meaning of life, in my opinion.

3. What are your top parenting secrets to share?
Don't raise children, just love them. I don't know how it should be or "how to raise a child correctly", but I follow my instincts. For example, I encourage co-sleeping and try not to burden Matilda with activities in addition to her kindergarten classes. I will always be on her side. No matter how life turns out in the future, I want to make sure that I tried my best to have my mother's unconditional love behind her.

5. How does raising children in Switzerland differ from raising children in Russia?
In Switzerland, children have much more freedom. At school, children are explained their rights, a child can complain about his parents, and everyone will take this extremely seriously. Children from 4 years old can go to kindergarten independently. Yes, yes, for a Russian mother living in a big city, this is unacceptable and dangerous. When I move to a foreign country, I try to follow local rules and habits. But there are some habits I can’t accept. As for nutrition, I am an absolutely Russian mother! Matilda's diet always includes oatmeal porridge for breakfast and soup for lunch. I really like the system of Russian kindergartens with a lunchtime nap and a program until 6 pm. For example, in Switzerland, children from the age of 3 no longer sleep during lunch, and kindergarten is only open half a day.

6. What do you think are the main qualities a woman, mother and homemaker should have?
The question is philosophical. Probably, a mother and homemaker should be able to cook deliciously.
7. You have a multinational/multicultural family, what traditions do you have in your family due to such a different flavor?
Yes, for example, one of Matilda’s grandmothers is purely Russian, and the second is a Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro. My dad is Armenian, and my father-in-law is pure German. So we get along, we found a lot in common in traditions, we even like the same food. We celebrate Catholic, Gregorian and Orthodox Christmas in turn. It seems to me that mixed nationalities in families greatly develop their horizons. The more you learn about the traditions of people from other continents, the more commonalities you find.

Matilda is an ancient Germanic name, not very common. It has a very soft sound, to me it's like a bell ringing. Throughout my pregnancy I called my daughter Matilda. Russian people have a very clear association with the famous cat Matilda from the cartoon about Carlson, but it seems to me that it took my relatives and friends literally a week for the name Matilda to begin to be associated only with their beloved little girl. I affectionately call my daughter Mati.

I haven't had to yet, but I will answer simply and truthfully. The new generation of children is even more informed and faster, so I can answer about men, women, sex and pregnancy. My answer will be a bit dry, without storks and cabbage.

10. What are your favorite children's fairy tales/books? Top 5
Matilda’s favorite books are, naturally, musical; she loves to “read” books with songs by Vladimir Shainsky. Dad prefers to read books in German with Matilda. The story of Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Hansel and Gretel. By the way, as a child I adored the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The stories of Beatrix Potter should definitely be included in the top 5 children's books; her stories about Peter Rabbit and his friends are incomparable. I highly recommend books with original illustrations by the writer.
