Tatyana Evgenievna Samoilova. Curriculum Vitae

Vladimir Samoilov, actor: biography, childhood and youth

He was born on March 15, 1924 in the Ukrainian city of Odessa. The future artist was raised in an ordinary family that lived from paycheck to paycheck.

Our hero grew up as an active and intelligent child. He liked to run along the embankments, collect pebbles on the beach, and admire the local landscapes.

Vova did well at school. He had no problems with humanitarian subjects, but exact sciences were not easy for him. If a boy received a bad mark, he tried to correct it quickly.

In 1941 he graduated from high school. However, admission to university had to be postponed. After all, the war has begun. Vova could not stay away. He went to defend his homeland.

How did his further biography develop? Actor Vladimir Samoilov remained in the Soviet army until Victory was declared. In 1945, the guy returned to his native Odessa, where he entered a theater university. Since childhood, he dreamed of an acting career. And even a terrible war could not change his plans. Samoilov was one of the best students on the course. Volodya never skipped lectures or classes. Teachers praised him for his hard work and determination.

Already in the 3rd year, our hero began performing on the theater stage. He was equally good at both positive and negative roles.

Personal life of Tatyana Samoilova

The artist was married several times. Her first wedding - with Vasily Lanov - took place during the filming of the film “The Mexican”. The family relationships of the young actors were destroyed by constant separations due to filming. The last straw was an abortion, which she had despite her husband’s categorical objection. When the obstetrician reported that twins could have been born, she regretted what she had done and cried for a long time. She and her husband finally separated in 1958.

10 years later, Tatyana Samoilova and Vasily Lanovoy met in Karenina

Tatyana Evgenievna’s second husband was the writer, journalist-intellectual Valery Osipov, whom she called the only great love of her life. They lived together for about 10 years, but had no children. The reason for this was Valery's diabetes and, as a result, impotence. And the artist really wanted a child.

Valery Osipov is the second husband of Tatyana Samoilova

From 1964 to 1967, Samoilova was in a civil marriage with the Belarusian writer, film director, one of the founders of the most popular “Almanac of Film Travel” at the time, Solomon Shulman.

In 1968, the actress got married to Eduard Mashkovich, the administrator of the film actor’s Studio Theater. He was 15 years younger than her and not free, but these circumstances did not stop the movie star. In marriage with him, the artist’s only son was born, whom they named Dmitry. However, as it turned out, Edward used her for selfish purposes - he wanted her to support him financially. This circumstance destroyed their marriage, and they divorced in 1973.

The only son of Tatyana Samoilova

Her son, a doctor, went to the USA and married an American. His wife is a lawyer. Their family lives in Michigan. They named their daughter, born in 2005, Tatyana.

Theater activities

Volodya received the long-awaited diploma. The talented guy had no problems finding employment. He was accepted into the troupe of the Soviet Army Theater (Odessa). He performed on the stage of this institution for almost 3 years. Then the young man went to Kemerovo. But he didn't stay there long.

Vladimir Samoilov arrived in Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod). There he served in the regional theater until 1968. As part of the troupe, our hero traveled throughout the USSR. In all cities, the artists were greeted with applause.

After benefit performances in Moscow and Leningrad, Volodya began to be invited to work by the best theaters. Such attention flattered the young actor. In 1968, he finally moved to Moscow. At first, Samoilov performed on the stage of the Theater. Mayakovsky. And in 1992 he moved to the Drama Theater. Gogol.

Another movie success

We invite you to look at the bottom photo of the actress. The biography of Tatyana Samoilova during the period that will be discussed below is associated with work on a big role in a movie. In 1967, director A. Zarkhi began filming Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina. To the surprise of many, he invites Tatyana Samoilova to play the main role.

The actress did an excellent job with the role of Anna. Vronsky was played by Vasily Lanovoy. The former spouses met again on the set. They played love so authentically that rumors even spread around Moscow about the resumption of their relationship, but this was not true.

After the release of Anna Karenina, people again started talking about the actress as a movie star of the first magnitude. In France, the Weekend newspaper on the front page publishes a large photo of Samoilova in the role of Anna and an article that contains the following words flattering for the actress:

“After the break, T. Samoilova reappeared on the screen. Beautifully built, with the gait of a queen, with a warm and radiant look in her brown eyes, this is Anna Karenina, captivating in every way.”

Filming

V. Samoilov first appeared on screens in 1959. Then he lived and worked in Gorky. He was offered to play the chairman of a collective farm in the film “Unpaid Debt.” The young artist agreed. It must be said that he coped excellently with the tasks set by the director.

In the period from 1960 to 1965, several films with the participation of Samoilov were released. He tried on different images - regional committee secretary, professor, colonel, and so on. In 1966, Vladimir Yakovlevich was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.

A truly “star” role for him was the role of Nazar Duma in the film “Wedding in Malinovka” (1967). The image he created appealed to many Soviet citizens. In 1984 he received the title "People's Artist of the USSR". Subsequently, he was repeatedly awarded state prizes.

The incredible performance of Vladimir Samoilov amazed his friends and colleagues. Throughout his career, he performed about 250 roles in theater and cinema. Even in the difficult 1990s, our hero was not without work. He continued to act in films, despite a significant reduction in royalties. For him, the main thing was art, not money.

"Cranes are Flying"

The role of Veronica in Mikhail Kalatozov’s film “The Cranes Are Flying” became the actress’s second film work and brought her worldwide fame. Director of photography Sergei Urusevsky invented and designed circular rails for the film, which made it possible to shoot with a moving camera. He meticulously worked with light and, as Samoilova said, “painted” her: “I have never been as beautiful as in this film in my life.”

“It was a refutation of acting. You can't play like that. It was a naked nerve and absolute openness. Everything was saturated with high voltage current.”

Sergey Yursky

Soviet viewers, including the party elite, greeted the new film with restraint. Not everyone was able to see the personal tragedy of the heroine behind the image of a girl who did not wait for her fiance to return from the war. However, at the Cannes Film Festival, the film received the Palme d'Or, and Tatyana Samoilova received the Orange Tree Award as the "most charming and modest" actress of the festival. So the film was seen and appreciated by 59 countries, after which the film also reached Soviet cinemas. Since then, not a single film shot in Russia has been able to win the highest award at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Tangerine trees were planted in the royal courtyard, and next to it there was a sign with my name. Now every year they send me their fruits from France. Pablo Picasso came to Cannes to congratulate us. He wanted to meet, in his words, “a simple Moscow girl who will soon become a star on the world screen.”

After the film “The Cranes Are Flying”, the actress acted little: in total there are 24 works in her filmography. Tatyana Samoilova was often invited to Hollywood, but the Soviet government did not allow her to come to America. The actress starred in the Soviet-French film “Leon Garros is looking for a friend” (directed by Marcel Paliero, 1960), in the Hungarian film “Alba Regia” (directed by Mihai Semesh, 1961), in the Soviet-Italian film “They Went East” (directed by Giuseppe de Santis, 1964).

Personal life

Who was the wife of actor Samoilov? Now we will tell you about it. Within the walls of the Gorky Regional Theater, Vladimir Yakovlevich met his love. His heart was won by a sweet and pretty girl Nadezhda. She was also an actress. Their relationship developed rapidly. The lovers formalized their relationship in one of the Gorky registry offices.

For some time the couple lived in Kemerovo. There their son Alexander was born. Soon the family moved to Moscow. Unlike her husband, Nadezhda’s acting career did not go so smoothly. At first, the woman was busy with household chores and raising her son. But soon she managed to get a job in the capital’s theater and star in several films (in episodic roles).

In all their 50 years of marriage, Vladimir and Nadezhda never quarreled or made any claims against each other. They truly were two halves of a whole.

For more than 14 years, our hero has been happy in his second marriage. His chosen one is an actress named Irina. Together they are raising three sons.

Alexander Vladimirovich is already a grandfather. He has two grandchildren, who were given to him by children from his first marriage. Isn't this happiness?!

Continuers of the dynasty

The Samoilov actors have long proven their professionalism and natural talent. Vladimir Yakovlevich forever wrote himself into the history of Russian cinema. His son Alexander continued his father's work. But few people know that the third generation of artists is growing up in the family. Who are we talking about? Let's figure this out together.

It is possible that in the coming years new Samoilov actors will appear in the theater and on screens. After all, Alexander Vladimirovich and his wife Irina have three sons: Arkady (6 years old), Konstantin (9 years old) and Volodya (11 years old). All of them are seriously passionate about acting. Alexander and Irina often take their children to rehearsals and filming. Boys enjoy watching art being created.

The eldest son, Volodya, starred with his father in the TV series “Two Fates”. He brilliantly played the grandson of one of the main characters, Vera. Even then, the boy promised himself that in the future he would enter a theater university.

Work in the theater

The biography of actress Tatyana Samoilova is inextricably linked with cinema. However, after the resounding success of the film “The Cranes Are Flying,” she very rarely receives invitations to act in films. The actress often gets depressed; failures in her personal life contribute to nervous breakdowns.

Samoilova needs stability and in 1965 she entered the Film Actor's Theater. There she comes “at court” and immediately gets leading roles in the plays “Tanya” based on the play by Arbuzov and “The Thunderstorm” based on Ostrovsky.

Tatyana Samoilova plunges headlong into theatrical activities, but it turned out that it was too early for her to give up on her film career.
