Jennifer Love Hewitt

(English: Jennifer Love Hewitt; born February 21, 1979) is an American actress, producer, director and singer.
She is best known for her roles as Sarah Reeves in the television series Five of Us (1995–1999), Julia James in the film I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel, and Melinda Gordon in the television series Ghost Whisperer. in which she won two Saturn Awards. She also dabbled as a singer, releasing the moderately successful single " How Do I Deal
", which peaked at number 59 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2011, she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film for her role in the Lifetime television film The Client List. In 2012-2013, she also played the main role in the series of the same name. In 2014, she replaced Jeanne Tripplehorn as the new FBI agent on the CBS series Criminal Minds.[2]

Early years[ | ]

She was born in Waco, Texas, to Herbert Daniel Hewitt and Patricia May Shipp (born 1945—died June 12, 2012 from cancer[3]), who are of primarily English descent.[4] In 1987, the family moved to Garland, Texas. His father worked as a technician, and his mother was engaged in the treatment of speech pathology. Jennifer grew up in Harker Heights. After her parents' divorce, she and her brother Todd Hewitt stayed with their mother. It is noteworthy that Jennifer’s first name was given by her eight-year-old brother in honor of his friend, and she received her middle name, “Love,” from her mother, in honor of her college friend.

As a child, Hewitt studied music, which led her to the entertainment industry. At the age of three, she sang The Greatest Love of All

(from the repertoire of Whitney Houston).
The following year, in a restaurant and part-time dance hall, Jennifer performed in front of an audience her version of the famous country ballad by Kris Kristofferson Help Me Make It Through the Night
. By the age of five, Hewitt had completed tap and ballet classes on her record. At nine years old, she was a member of the “Texas Show Group” (which also toured the Soviet Union). At the age of ten, on the advice of talent agents, Jennifer moved with her mother to Los Angeles, California, to pursue her acting and music career.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Hewitt has appeared in more than twenty television commercials. The breakthrough in her acting career came with an invitation to the children's television show Kids Incorporated

, in which she participated from 1989 to 1991.
In 1992, in the pilot episode of the never-aired NBC series Running Wilde
, Jennifer played the daughter of a journalist and adventurer played by Pierce Brosnan. After starring in several short-lived television series, Hewitt landed her starring role as Sarah Reeves on the hit Fox show, Five of Us (1995–1999), in which she appeared in the second season. She played the same role in the continuation of this series, called “The Time of Your Life” (1999), in which she acted as one of the producers. But this series lasted only half a season.

Is Prince Harry's father really James Hewitt?

This is Prince Harry, aka Henry Charles Albert David, fifth in line to the British royal throne and the youngest son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana:

But because people love conspiracy theories, Harry's origins have been called into question. Over the years, there have been people who believe that real father is a man named James Hewitt. He is such a handsome gentleman:

Conspiracy theorists often point to the fact that both Harry and Hewitt have red hair, and that they look eerily similar. So let's analyze this issue.

It's a fact that in 1986, just two years after Prince Harry was born, Princess Diana began an affair with Hewitt the Horse Whisperer - which lasted for five years. Princess Diana herself admitted that she and Hewitt had an affair.

Meanwhile, Hewitt reflected in the interview, “It was never her intention to fall in love with me, and it was certainly not my intention to fall in love with Diana, but it was because of the circumstances that brought us together. […] And I’m not going to say whose fault it was, but one way or another our relationship developed and it was mutual.”

Diana's former bodyguard Ken Wharf wrote in his book "Diana: A Closely Guarded Secret"

that "the couple used to meet in an old cottage in Devon owned by Shirley Hewitt, James' mother."

Career[ | ]

Hewitt made her film debut in the 1992 independent film Munchy. She became a movie star after her leading role in the horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997). The film grossed $125 million worldwide and made Jennifer one of the most popular young actresses in America. She also starred in the film's sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), the teen comedy Can't Hardly Hardly Hardly Wait (1998), and the hit romantic comedy Heartbreakers (2001), where she co-starred The role was played by Sigourney Weaver.

In 2000, the biographical television film “The Audrey Hepburn Story” was released, in which Hewitt played Audrey Hepburn herself, receiving conflicting reviews for her performance. That year, as one of the most popular actresses on television, she was chosen as the “face” of Nokia. In 2001, she starred with Enrique Iglesias in his video for the song “Hero”. The clip turned out to be sensual and passionate. The role of the villain catching up with the loving couple was played by Mickey Rourke. In 2002, Hewitt and Jackie Chan starred in the action comedy The Tuxedo, which grossed $15 million on its first weekend, but overall did not recoup its $60 million budget.

Since September 2005, Hewitt has starred in the television series Ghost Whisperer. In Australia it became a hit from the first episodes, and in the United States the number of regular viewers was 9-10 million people. The series was canceled in the spring of 2010 after five seasons.

To date, Hewitt has released four music albums, which have been more successful in Europe and Japan than in her homeland. Her first album was released only in Japan, where Hewitt is considered a pop star. This success in Japan is explained by the fact that the Japanese love cheerful, lively music.[5]

In March 2005, photographs of Love Hewitt appeared in Maxim

and his gallery "Maxim's Girls". In May 2006, the magazine named Jennifer number 29 on its Hot 100 list of the sexiest female celebrities.

In 2009, she starred in the indie film Cafe

", which was shown at the Philadelphia Film Festival.
In 2010, after her series ended, she continued to work in television, starring in an episode of the twelfth season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as a victim of a rapist and in the television movie The Client List, for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in the category " Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film
".
In 2011, she appeared in the TV movie Lost Valentine alongside Betty White. She played the role of Emmy, the daughter of Wendie Malick's character in the second season of the sitcom Pretty Girls in Cleveland. Hewitt also landed a role in the independent film Jewtopia
, based on the off-Broadway play.

Hewitt starred in Lifetime's Women's Cable Network series The Client List. The series is a continuation of the film of the same name.[6] The show received negative reviews from critics and was canceled after two seasons due to the actress's conflict with the channel. Hewitt wanted her husband Brian Hallisay to have a larger role in the third season, but the network decided not to make concessions to the actress's whims and canceled the show.[7][8] Hewitt also starred in Criminal Minds in season 10 as FBI agent Kate Callahan.

The name Jennifer was given by her older brother, who at that time was in love with his classmate with that name. And her mother gave her her second name, Love (Love), hoping that her daughter would be lucky in life. Her parents divorced when the girl was only six months old. And since then, despite the fact that Jennifer has long been living the life of an independent adult, she lives with her mother in Los Angeles.

Since childhood, Jenny loves to sing and dance. She studied jazz, tap, ballet and soon found herself in the Texas Show Team ensemble, which toured Russia. At the age of four she sang on a television show, and when she was ten years old, she and her mother moved to Los Angeles, and Jennifer began acting in commercials. Then the young actress starred in the Disney television series Kids INC. So we can say that her acting career was predetermined in advance.

At the age of twelve, Jennifer recorded her own videotape with a set of exercises for girls called “Dance with Barbie.” However, it was not this film that made her famous among teenagers. Jennifer came to fame with the TV series The Fab Five (1995), in which she played the main character's girlfriend. She received an award for this role, and The Fab Five became the highest rated youth drama on American television.

Jennifer did not forget about her other passion and in 1992 she released her first album, which was called “Songs of Love.” Her next disc, “Lets Go Bang,” was released three years later and, unlike the first, quickly spread throughout America. And a year later, the third album appeared - “Jennifer Love Hewitt” (1996). In March of this year, Jennifer acted as a presenter at the award ceremony for the best musicians in Monte Carlo and then publicly announced that she had recorded her new album.

As for cinema, her most famous work is the thriller “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997). This film was made in the wake of the popularity of Scream, and that already says it all. Moreover, the script for the film was written by Kevin Williamson himself, who at one time created the plot of “Scream”. Not surprisingly, the scenarios turned out somewhat similar. The film was based on the novel of the same name by Lois Duncan, written back in 1973. The content of the book has been changed quite a lot - in the book teenagers run over a child, and in the film - an adult. Naturally, the amount of blood and cruelty was increased.

Love Hewitt appeared as the main character Julie James, and Sarah Michelle Gellar as her friend Helen Shivers. Jennifer was then awarded the title "Scream Queen". Not wanting to disappoint the public, the actress spoke in detail in all her interviews about how to scream correctly if attacked by a murderous maniac. For her work in the film, she was awarded the award as the best “new” actress.

Thanks to the success of this film, viewers soon received a sequel - “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” (1998), and in the same year a new comedy with Jennifer’s participation was released - “I Can’t Wait!” She was followed by the youth series “Dawson’s Creek”, then the film “Blood and Chocolate”, in which the actress played a creepy werewolf...

It was probably then that Hewitt realized with horror that she had been working in almost the same role for a long time. Then Jennifer decided to try herself in a new capacity and make a producing career. The first film that appeared at the Hewitt studio, the melodrama Marry Me, Jane, was a very modest success. But it is worth considering that the producer at that time was only nineteen years old!

The last two years have been quite productive in the creative life of Jennifer Love Hewitt. She produced the television film “The Audrey Hepburn Story” (2000), in which she played the main role and even received a critics’ prize for it. By the way, two years later its sequel “Why Can’t I Be Audrey Hepburn?” was released. In it, Jennifer plays the role of a successful TV news anchor who is abandoned by her fiancé right at the altar. In 2001, the actress played opposite Sigourney Weaver in the comedy Heartbreakers. Critics noted that this comedy is not at all like the films of the last decade: the “heartbreakers” are witty, musical and romantic. Overall, the result was a cocktail of intrigue, love, passion and laughter.

Now Hewitt is one of the most sought-after stars. She starred in “Tuxedo” with Jackie Chan and performed all the stunts in this film herself, which amazed Jackie himself. “I shot in the movies,” says the actress. - It was a little scary. Jackie Chan taught me how to fight hard and fast.”

One of Jennifer's most recent works is her role in Alec Baldwin's directorial debut, The Devil and Daniel Webster. This is a remake of the 1941 film about a writer who sold his soul in exchange for fame. The film stars Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin. The Devil is played by Jennifer. “This role is definitely not one I'm used to playing; there’s an amazing character here, and he’s incredibly well written,” says the actress. “The role of the devil is too mature for me, and I want to prove that I am growing as a woman and as a person and can play adult roles.” She's everything you'd expect from a devil: sexiness, intelligence, anger - only this devil has a nicer face than you'd expect. In preparation for this role, I was going to find some new part of myself and steal some souls and hearts.”

Perhaps she meant the heart of the hot Latin American Enrique Iglesias. Jennifer played in the music video for his latest single “Hero,” and eyewitnesses claim that the kisses that fell from the screen were real. There are rumors that things are heading towards the altar. “They are unusually suited to each other, and it seems as if they cannot live without each other for a second,” close people say about them.

Now Jennifer is one of the most popular actresses in the world, her name is on the list of the most attractive young talents in Hollywood. Her fame and fame continue to grow, but she remains the same sweet, charming girl from those who are often called the “girl next door.”

Top 5 men Jennifer Love Hewitt: little devil in still waters

Hollywood quiet woman Jennifer Love Hewitt has recently been distinguished not by successful roles or whirlwind romances, but by very noticeable changes in her figure - and not always for the better. In its defense, “Ghost Whisperer” argued that ladies who passionately desire to be a size zero are simply not friendly in the head, and allowed herself to forget about Hollywood standards for the time being.

But in the end, Love Hewitt came to her senses, pulled herself together, and within a few weeks regained her former seductive forms. According to Jennifer herself, she simply began to devote a little more time to the gym, where she focuses on strength exercises and cardio training. But we know that no one, even the best trainer, will succeed if the girl is not deeply interested in losing extra pounds, and in the case of Love Hewitt, it’s not about exercise bikes, but about a quick wedding.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Alec Baldwin

In 2000-2001, Jennifer took part in Alec Baldwin’s directorial debut “The Devil and Daniel Webster” - a remake of the 1941 film of the same name - and she played not just anyone, but the devil himself. Unexpected, right? According to the actress, this was not a typical role for her, perhaps even too adult: too much sexuality, passion, anger. “In preparation for this role, I was going to find some new part of myself and steal a few souls and hearts,” the young star admitted. One of the first to succumb to her charms was the director of the film, Alec Baldwin. The couple was not embarrassed by the 20-year age difference, nor by the fact that Alec was already a world-class star at the beginning of their romance, nor even by his wife, actress Kim Basinger. It is still unknown whether it was really an affair, albeit a short-term one, or, as Jennifer herself claims, she was just helping Baldwin, who she herself would benefit from, to improve relations with the children after the final break with his wife. Regardless, the spunky Baldwin isn't a bad addition to a budding starlet's list.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Enrique Iglesias

Before the world press had time to savor Jennifer's relationship with Alec Baldwin, the actress switched to a new object - Latin American handsome Enrique Iglesias. Rumors that the young people were connected by more than just friendly relations appeared after the actress starred in the singer’s video for the romantic ballad Hero. Everyone present at the filming of the video unanimously asserted that the kisses on the set were real: “They suit each other amazingly,” one of Jen’s close friends confessed. “It seems like they can’t spend a minute without each other.” One day, Enrique sent a private plane for his beloved so that she could fly to his solo concert in Las Vegas. Everyone was expecting a quick wedding. However, Jennifer was modest and said in all interviews that they were connected only by friendship, albeit many years. “I’m not one of those with whom Iglesias can appear on the red carpet,” the actress noted, modestly lowering her eyes.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and John Mayer

It seems that Jennifer enjoyed meeting musicians; John Mayer, the owner of a unique voice and composer of touching ballads, became her serious hobby. They met at a party, he fell in love at first sight, she reciprocated - and that’s how it all started. As the singer later admitted, their romance was absolutely crazy. Jen looked happier than ever, especially after Mayer dedicated the song Your body is a wonderland to her. They looked quite funny together: Jennifer was only 157 cm tall, and John was 190 cm tall. The actress often visited him at the rehearsal base, where they were photographed more than once by the paparazzi, and sent him cute gifts like multi-colored balloons or a cake she baked herself. But it all ended quite quickly: John was tired of their relationship being constantly in the spotlight of the world press, Jennifer was tired of his naivety and reluctance to spend time at Hollywood parties, and as a result the couple broke up.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall

In 2005, on the set of the series “Ghost Whisperer,” Jennifer met actor Ross McCall, they became friends and quite quickly their friendship grew into a romance. In 2007, Ross proposed to Jen, and as an engagement gift he gave her not just a simple ring, but a family jewel with the image of the family’s coat of arms - McCall belongs to a fairly ancient Scottish family, and this ring has been kept in the family for more than a century. However, the wedding did not take place. The reason for the breakup, sadly, was money. At first, Ross was furious because media mogul Hugh Hefner offered Jennifer an explicit shoot in his Playboy magazine for $2,000,000, but then a scandal was avoided: the actress simply refused the tempting offer. “I'm happy with my body and I don't need to be naked to prove it. I have a beloved man, he is delighted with my body,” she noted. The lovers had already set a wedding date when McCall learned that Jen, who was planning to have a lavish celebration, had sold the right to publish their wedding photos to one of the tabloids. He stated that he was categorically against the whole world knowing about his personal life, as a result the couple broke off the engagement and Love Hewitt I was left alone again.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy

As soon as she broke up with McCall in early 2008, Jennifer began appearing in public with actor Jamie Kennedy, famous for his role in the teen horror film “Scream.” First, they attended the Academy of Country Music Awards together, and then came to the morning show “With Mike and Juliet” in New York. Kennedy does not hide his happiness: “We are more than dating. We love more than anything. We have a very close connection." Not long ago, Jennifer made a vague statement that her relationship with Jamie would very soon move to a new level, and the other day the couple was caught walking through jewelry stores in search of an engagement ring. The actress, who will turn 31 in February, has repeatedly stated that she is tired of the hype around her personal life and feels absolutely ready for quiet family happiness with the man she loves. This time she is determined: there are rumors that Jennifer gave her boyfriend a period of several months for him to propose to her. Let's hope that this time the heartthrob Jennifer Love Hewitt made the right decision, and the matter will really end in a wedding.
