Biography
Evgeny Gorshechkov, who took the pseudonym Evgeny Gor, is a Russian singer and songwriter, vocalist of the groups “After 11” and “Unite It”. In addition, in 2014, Evgeniy launched his own production of aromatic oils and candles, which is popular among Russian show business stars. But most of all, the public associates the name Evgeny Gora with Nadezhda Babkina, the famous Russian singer, with whom he is in a romantic relationship.
Childhood and youth
The biography of Evgeny Gora begins in 1980 in the city of Izhevsk. He was born on March 31st under the zodiac sign of Aries. His father Mikhail Petrovich Gorshechkov was a music teacher, and his mother Natalya Viktorovna Gorshechkova is today known as one of the assistants to the President of the Russian Federation in the Kremlin. But the family life of the parents did not work out, so his grandmother Lyudmila Valerievna was involved in raising the boy.

Evgeny Gor and his grandmother
After graduating from school, Evgeny Gor becomes a student at Udmurt State University, where he studied at the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology and received three specialties at once - philologist, translator and teacher of English.
At the university, Gore first began to desire to become a popular musician. The young man begins to develop his singing abilities in a local pop vocal studio, and it was a serious educational institution, in which the young man even received a graduation diploma in 2002. Later, the artist will improve his vocal skills by completing a professional two-year course in one of the workshops in Los Angeles.
Gor Evgeniy. Biography
Zhenya was born in Izhevsk on the last day of March 1980. The guy went to a regular school. After graduation, he entered the Faculty of Philology, specializing in translator. After graduating from university, he received a diploma as a translator, English teacher, and philologist. But Evgeniy was always drawn to creativity, so in parallel with his studies at the university, he studied in a vocal studio and already received a diploma in 2002.
Evgeny Gor is a laureate of the international competition “Golden Hit”, which took place in 2003 in Belarus. At this event, Zhenya received the “Best Vocal” award and the Audience Award. Evgeny Gor received the first prize in the Slavic Bazaar competition, which was held in Vitebsk, in 2004. Here Gore emphasized original works, despite the fact that he had in his arsenal more than fifty works of various genres. The vocalist won the third prize at the First All-Russian Variety Competition. Now the artist continues to participate in various events, delighting the listener with his interesting songs, he also creates new music.
Personal life
Nothing is known about the personal life of Evgeniy Gor before his move to Moscow. But when the young man was 23 years old, at a competition for young musicians in Saratov, he met the performer of Russian folk songs, Nadezhda Babkina. At first, this union began as a creative one, but after a short period of time, during the recording of the “Song of the Year” program, Babkina introduced Evgeniy as her beloved person.
The novel by Evgeny Gor and Nadezhda Babkina received a huge response. Not only fans, but the whole country talked about them. Even those people who are not interested in the work of the national artist could not ignore such news. And the main reason was the huge age difference. The fact is that Nadezhda Georgievna is more than 30 years older than her lover.
Naturally, the public had very different reactions to such relationships. People “divorced” them and “brought them together” again, talked about the lack of sincerity and real feelings, accused Gore of self-interest and an attempt to “promote himself” at the expense of a celebrity. In 2010, information even appeared in the media that the common-law husband was going to sue the singer for part of the jointly acquired property and even contacted a lawyer about this.

Another rumor about the performers was that their romance was actually a cover for the singer’s non-traditional sexual orientation. There were also those who attributed a relationship with actor Vyacheslav Manucharov to Evgeniy. They were registered as lovers simply because Horus came to his birthday party. Naturally, the performer does not even comment on such speculation. The actual marriage of Evgeny and Nadezhda has long passed the ten-year mark.
Of course, not everything is going smoothly for the couple. They separated while Evgeny Gorshechkov studied singing in America. There were rumors that Babkina even started a romantic relationship with her new boyfriend, the nephew of the mayor of Moscow Anton Sobyanin. But when Gore returned to Russia, he was again seen in the company of his common-law wife.
Regular conversations about the separation of the star couple began in November 2020. Both Evgeny Gor and Nadezhda Georgievna Babkina appeared at social parties separately during this period. Joint photos of Evgeniy Gor and his wife were not updated on social networks, although Babkina previously posted similar photos on Instagram regularly. The singer’s long-standing statement that he would never officially marry Babkina, as he values freedom and independence and views stamps in his passport negatively, also added fuel to the fire. However, there were no official comments about the final break in relations from the couple at that time.
Evgeny Gor and Nadezhda Babkina - Like Gods
Nadezhda Babkina and Evgeny Gor demonstrated their family idyll on the air of the program “While Everyone is Home.” The program was filmed in 2020 in the singer’s house, where her relatives gathered. Evgeniy sat next to Nadezhda.
According to the singer, their marriage remains strong for a long time thanks to a special mode of communication. The couple spends only three days a week together, the rest of the time - separately from each other. According to Babkina, her common-law husband taught her to be more attentive to herself and to love the woman in herself. Nadezhda began to regularly go to beauty salons and shops, choosing outfits. Having changed her style, Nadezhda Babkina received the position of TV presenter of “Fashionable Sentence”.
Evil tongues claim that the romance benefited the singer, but not Eugene himself, who was covered by the “shadow” of his famous lover. The reason for the discussion was the fact that in recent years Gore has noticeably gained weight and stopped covering his gray hair, which is why he began to look older. The singer himself claims that his prosperous life simply relaxed him.

Music
While still studying at the Izhevsk studio, Evgeny Gor began to write songs himself, which he performed together with the young group “After 11”. The guys took part in a competition for young performers in Saratov, where Nadezhda Babkina was a member of the jury. The singer invited the band's vocalist to move to Moscow, where he would have much more prospects. For several years, Evgeny Gor and Nadezhda Babkina have been performing together in her ensemble “Russian Song”
Later, the musician organizes his own project “Unite It”, in which he again becomes the frontman, keyboardist and vocalist, and also writes lyrics. The group performs high-quality sound in a mixed genre from Britpop to soft rock. Evgeny Gor's songs are predominantly in English, although he also has a number of hits in Russian. For the same reason, he replaced his real surname with a pseudonym - in English Gore sounds much more impressive.

Evgeny Gor in his youth and Joseph Kobzon
In 2012, the singer, together with “Unite It”, participated in the national selection of the international vocal festival “Eurovision”. The musicians managed to reach the finals, but lost the right to represent Russia to the Buranovskie Babushki group. At the same time, Evgeniy starred in the program “Life is Beautiful!”, where he performed the romance “Cruel Love.”
The first album, “Flying My Life,” recorded in California at a Los Angeles recording studio, was deliberately not called the debut album by Gore’s group, since each of the musicians had many years of professional training behind them. In addition to the title song, the compositions “4 Seasons”, “Distant-Close”, “I’m Lonely” and “Almost Like Gods”, which Evgeny Gor and Nadezhda Babkina sang as a duet, became hits. Later, a concert video was released for the song “Do You Love Me,” which the singers also performed together.
In 2015, the musician became a member of the cover band “The Fifth Element”. After some time, the team recorded the single “Everyone is a Champion” in support of Russian athletes on the eve of the home Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Business
When Evgeny Gore first moved to Moscow, the young man invested all his available funds in real estate. This decision turned out to be successful and subsequently paid off many times over. Now the musician has both an apartment in the capital and a house in the Moscow region. But at that time, music continued to be the main area of activity in the biography of Evgeniy Gor.
In 2014, for the sake of his own interest, but rather as a hobby, Evgeniy began making handmade candles. The young man created these products based on aromatic oils, and the products began to bring tangible profits. Then the singer in 2014 turns into a serious businessman and opens his own candle factory. The musician sells the finished products to fellow stars, among whom these candles have already become popular, and to specialized shops in the Russian outback.
In 2020, joint photos of Evgeny Gor and Nadezhda Babkina appeared on Instagram, which, according to fans, over 14 years of marriage have become like brother and sister. At the same time, in the comments, followers noted that only those couples who live in complete idyll become so similar to each other. According to the singer’s numerologist, for harmony in the future the spouses will need an official marriage, but Nadezhda and Evgeniy are avoiding this topic for now, continuing to enjoy each other’s company.
Evgeny Andrachnikov: it’s time to convert your initiatives into business
— The Nicaraguan government has an idea to create an airline. We presented them with a number of our proposals. Nicaragua is Russia’s historical partner in Central America; it is one of our most friendly powers. The country is well located geographically. The arms that connect Nicaragua with the neighboring countries of Central America are ideally suited for the logistics of the Sukhoi SuperJet-100.
— Are negotiations ongoing with the government?
— The airline business has never been very marginal. Not many businessmen and merchants decide to invest their capital in it. Airlines are mostly owned by states or regional governments. Aviation performs an important social function, carrying with it a certain multiplier economic effect. We understand that the Nicaraguan government needs an aircraft, so we are doing some “homework” for this, studying a hypothetical route network, linking it to our Sukhoi SuperJet-100.
— We didn’t discuss the number of ships?
— Our calculations show that they need about five cars.
— They probably see how the plane is operated in Mexico by InterJet...
- Of course, in this sense we are extremely interesting to them. InterJet is our absolutely commercial deal, just one of those when the private shareholders of the carrier understand how our aircraft can be complementary to the existing fleet and profitable for operation. Now they have 12 aircraft flying; in total, the contract was concluded for 20 aircraft. At the beginning of March, the carrier’s management converted the option for another ten aircraft into a firm contract, so InterJet will operate 30 of our aircraft.
— When can an option be converted into a firm contract for the Red Wings?
— As you know, the company flies three planes. The third one arrived to them on March 27, and now we are discussing additional deliveries of machines. The carrier's management plans to expand the network of regional routes and increase the frequency of flights on existing routes. They prefer Sukhoi SuperJet-100.
— Will it be seven cars?
— We must understand that they must look at how the car behaves, how the route network will develop in the light of today’s economic cataclysms: falling passenger traffic, reconcentration of tourist traffic to domestic Russian destinations.
— Will Red Wings be delivered under a lease scheme, where the airline can abandon the aircraft at any time?
— Operating leasing has become the prevailing tool for carriers to obtain aircraft. There are no longer any standard sales or there are very few of them. Only such giants as Singapore Airlines, Emirates, British Airways and others can afford to buy an aircraft directly. Operating leasing in the Russian interpretation is rent. The leasing company is the balance holder of the aircraft; the airline does not bear risks regarding the residual value of the aircraft. The carrier only leases the aircraft, pays lease payments and creates reserves for maintenance. As for the Red Wings, the planes belong to Sberbank Leasing.
— Are you negotiating with VIM Avia and how many planes do they need?
— We’re talking about three cars to begin with, but we’re talking hypothetically about eight. For various reasons, the financial and economic situation of almost all Russian air carriers is far from ideal. If we abstract from the leading airlines in Russia, then all of them, one way or another, will have claims regarding financial stability. We offer a unique solution. In a falling market, it is profitable for airlines to rent a more spacious or expensive aircraft and supply the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 to a number of destinations. When your market grows, on the contrary, you add frequency; in this sense, a 100-seat machine is unique. In addition to VIM Avia, among potential customers for our aircraft we are considering Tomsk Aviation, Izhavia, Saratov Airlines, Yakutia, Yamal, Orenburg, etc.
— You said earlier that in 2020 GSS will sell 44 aircraft, have these plans changed?
- No, they haven’t changed at all since the moment we spoke. Selling aircraft is not a matter of weeks or months. This is a process that takes months and sometimes years. We are a new player in the regional aircraft market, we are four years old, and we have 43 aircraft flying around the world.
For comparison, our competitors have hundreds of aircraft flying. We need to conquer the market. Our progress is more complex; we are fighting to make the number 44 increase. Our production capacity allows us to produce up to 60 cars per year.
— Not everyone believed that the project would succeed; the Italians did not participate in the additional issue of shares, and their share was physically diluted.
- Let's split the question. “Nobody believes in the project...” - I am in sales, and this is a stone in my garden. I will try to convince the skeptics by proving that this is not so. You know, only five powers in the world out of more than 200 have technology, culture, expertise and traditions in aircraft construction. Only five! In the 1970s, Russia was number one among aircraft manufacturing powers. Hundreds of the most advanced civil aircraft were produced. But a lot of disasters occurred. Now Sukhoi SuperJet-100 is a unique project that was created from scratch in a matter of years. Let the skeptics go to Komsomolsk-on-Amur and look at the production, they will gasp. Each of the world's manufacturers can applaud when they see how our aircraft are assembled. We talk about the aircraft as a glider with a huge number of high-tech components. This is a Russian aircraft, which, of course, integrates the best world practices, because today, without global integration, not a single machine can be assembled: not a car, not a tractor, and certainly not an airplane. The Italian partnership in terms of international integration is a serious help for us.
— Don't the Japanese competitor's exit plans scare you?
— Sales of the Japanese Mitsubishi Regional Jet have not yet begun. The project is currently undergoing test flights. He did not receive full certification. Since 2013, the Japanese have been announcing the start of sales, now it is scheduled for 2020. Japan, with all due respect to the strength of its economy, has never made civil aircraft; it has no tradition or culture of aircraft manufacturing.
— Are you discussing the issue of joint aircraft production with China?
— Many different issues are being discussed with China. There are markets where the smoothest entry is formed through industrial cooperation.
These are so-called offset programs, when we give a country the opportunity to make components for the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 for all markets, we fill their production facilities with our orders, in return they guarantee the purchase of finished aircraft by their country.
In addition to China, we are holding negotiations on the Make in India and Turkey 2023 programs (in 2023 there will be 100 years since the creation of the Turkish Republic). Indian components in our aircraft can become a driver for the involvement of the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 in the Indian economic space. The Turks also have a plan to create a regional aircraft. I repeat, this is one of the sales promotion tools.
— That is, the issue of installing Indian components is being considered?
— There are different options. The first is customization, when a “green plane” arrives in a country where it is modified to meet customer requirements. There are options for more complex cooperation. For example, the option of producing components for aircraft. This is a question of convergence of interests, both political and business. We are not ready to be forever subsidized by the state, which continues to improve measures of federal support for the domestic aviation industry. Largely thanks to the targeted industrial policy of the country, the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 was born and took off. The time has come to convert (although this is not a quick process) these initiatives into a real working business. The Sukhoi SuperJet-100 is now one of the few high-tech products in the civilian sector that Russia can export. Yes, our shareholder is the state, but, of course, like any other shareholder, it wants to receive a clear return on invested capital.
— What are you ready to offer Turkey?
- It's all the same. They look at the market and are also looking for partners on the basis of which they could create their own regional segment. Turkey, if we now abstract from all government programs, is a very attractive market for a hundred-seat car.
— What other aircraft promotion schemes are there?
— A very interesting segment for transporting sports teams. In Russia there are a sufficient number of professional sports leagues, staffed by a large number of teams that constantly travel as part of domestic championships throughout our huge country. To this we must add the Olympic national teams: adults, youth, youth, women, and then we will get a large logistics cluster. A sports team must travel safely, comfortably, but also as cost-effectively as possible. Currently, the process of transporting sports teams is haphazard. All Russian teams fly on charters. We could offer our aircraft as a kind of unified product for transporting sports teams in Russia. The technical execution of the project and who will transport it are not important now. The carrier who takes on the project will receive guaranteed flight time for such vessels. This is an ideal situation for an airline.
— Is it the GSS that will conclude contracts with teams?
— I want to be an integrator, because this is interesting to me as an aircraft manufacturer. We will be integrators of this idea and plan to bring our proposal to the government level. This is not only a solution to the logistics problems of sports teams, it is serious support in promoting domestic aircraft at the global level. This is important: Russian teams fly in the Russian fleet.
We, as a manufacturer, will be ready to provide this project with our aircraft, but I am thinking of offering a specially designed interior for such transportation. I would like to provide an environment on board that would give the athletes the opportunity to recover and rest.
— How many aircraft might be needed for this project?
— If we take the schedule of the continental hockey league, then they will need 10-12 cars. And all of them will be used, which means they will be effective for the operating airline, since all aircraft will have a guaranteed flight time. There is also a football league, basketball, volleyball... This will be a unique global experience, because no country in the world has a unified system for transporting sports teams.
— How will the GSS management structure change?
— We are now working on building a system of local offices in our main markets. We definitely want to have offices in China, India, we want to have an office that will cover all of Southeast Asia, we need to be represented in Latin and Central America. These offices will be managed by a single commercial unit.
— Who will it consist of? When the construction of the GSS sales system just began, there was a clear division into what GSS sells in Russia and the CIS, and Superjet International abroad...
— The division is now conditional. People will work everywhere, they will be tied to clients. This is one project for us. I am selling an aircraft in Nicaragua, of course, I am doing this together with a team of our Italian colleagues. They can find clients in China. But this is a combined effort. Customization under the master agreement for foreign clients will be carried out in Venice.
— How much do you plan to sell Sukhoi Business Jet (SBJ)?
— Business Jet is our extremely interesting story. I am confident that we will be seriously represented in the business aviation market. There are now 190 different models, all of which vary in cabin size and range. In contrast, we offer an aircraft with a cabin comparable to a Boeing Business Jet or an Airbus Corp Jet. But for the price we are much more interesting. Due to the large cabin, we can provide enormous scope for creativity in terms of cabin configuration. Combined with the price and fuel efficiency, this product could be a real gem in the business aviation market.
— Who will do the salon?
— Most likely, everything will take place in Italy, as is now happening with international customers. I think that in the near future we will decide on a designer through a competition. We have two ways - to offer customers a standard set of interiors and the second - to sell a “green plane” to the client, who will decide for himself which designer to give the plane to.
— How many SBJs will be delivered this year?
— This year we’ll put in a little bit. Our market is 5-10 aircraft per year. Five is a realistic choice. You know, we have sold two aircraft to senior management of the Thai Air Force, and we are now in the process of negotiations with two clients in the CIS countries. In addition, the airliner was sold to another Russian corporation. In principle, we have a huge local business aviation market. Currently, 540 business jets belong to Russian owners.
— But they don't necessarily want to buy SBJ...
- What do you mean “they won’t want to”? By the way, they take a huge risk regarding the maintenance of these aircraft, especially if these people are somehow “seen” on the sanctions lists. State corporations are in the same situation. We believe there are a certain number of people and companies that we may be interested in. We are currently working on a long-range version of the aircraft.
— When can the project be ready?
- This could happen in 2020. We are working on installing additional tanks, which will extend the aircraft's arm to 7 thousand kilometers. The increased range will apply not only to the SBJ, but to the entire project.
— What modification will it have?
— It will be called LR (Long Range) or Extra LR. We haven't discussed this issue. Additional tanks will add added value to our project. I think that by the end of 2020 we will present a new project. In general, we are talking about developing new versions in order to give our aircraft a family feel. I'm talking about a model with 130 seats. We are interested in this segment. We are currently studying the 115-seat segment and the family of aircraft in the 120-130-seat range. Embraer and Bompartier followed this path.
The airline purchases an aircraft, expands its route, and then needs more spacious aircraft. She does not change to Boeing, but remains with us.
Evgeny Gor now
In 2020, Evgeniy Gor continued touring as a solo performer. Concerts at which the singer performed together with Olesya Evstigneeva were held in Moscow and other cities of Russia. His discography still consists of only two albums, and he has not yet announced the release of new products. Evgeniy has not left music, but now more often he goes out only as a companion to his common-law wife and does not make statements about the further direction of the development of his creative career in 2020.
