Victoria Lukina: brief biography and filmography of the actress

Childhood and family of Victoria Lukina

Victoria Lukina was born on July 7, 1984 in the city of Podolsk. She spent her childhood in this place. It was here that our today’s heroine first clearly decided for herself that in the future she would certainly become a famous actress. Little Vika organized her first performances at home. She told fables to her dolls, and also delighted her mother and little sister with beautiful poetry readings.

Victoria Lukina dreamed of becoming an actress, but the path to her cherished goal was difficult and thorny. During her school years, in parallel with attending compulsory classes, the girl also took classes at the Moscow Financial Law Academy.

Later, having completed the required nine classes and received a school certificate, the girl also successfully passed the exams at the Medical Academy, where she began studying to become a junior medical officer. In this context, it is worth noting that a career in healthcare was not Vika’s dream, but her mother’s. For some time, the woman didn’t even want to listen to anything about her daughter’s desire to become a popular movie star. Such ideas did not seem very realistic to the mother. However, Victoria herself continued to insist on her own.

Victoria Lukina now

In 2020, the actress starred in the joint Russian-Polish film “How Much Happiness Costs” about a simple teacher Nina (Natalya Terekhova), who meets her first love, neighbor Andrei (Alexander Konstantinov). Victoria Lukina reincarnated as Svetlana, a friend of the main character, who is having an affair with the teacher’s husband.

In the war film “Penalty Man,” Victoria transforms into the heroine Vasilisa, which also stars Kirill Safonov, Maxim Drozd, and Ieva Andreevaite. The series premiered at the end of February 2017 on Channel One.

Now Victoria is working on new projects, the premieres of which are expected in 2020 - the comedy about the veterinary clinic “Doctor Kotov” and the melodrama “Lawyers”.

Victoria Lukina's path to acting

While still continuing her studies at medical college, our today's heroine began to often travel to Moscow, where she tried to get into the preparatory courses of the Moscow Art Academic Theater. But the cherished height remained unattainable. In total, Victoria Lukina tried to get into the Moscow Art Theater three times, but each time she dropped out of the race at one or another stage of the selection.

At a certain period, due to a series of failures and misunderstandings on the part of her loved ones, Vika completely despaired. She began to feel depressed, but at some point she still managed to rise above her weaknesses. The young girl made another attempt to get into a theater university, but this time, instead of the ill-fated Moscow Art Theater, she decided to choose the Shchepkin Higher Theater School. As a result, it was this university that became for her a stepping stone towards her cherished goal.

The difficult road to acting

While studying at a medical college, the girl became a frequent visitor to Moscow - there she tried to get into preparatory courses at the Moscow Art Academic Theater. She tried to get there three times, but always in vain.

There was a period in the life of the future actress when she was depressed - the reason for this was a complete misunderstanding on the part of her family of her desire to become an artist, as well as total bad luck on the way to her dream.

And yet Victoria Lukina did not break down and made another attempt to become a student at a theater university. This time she decided to storm the Shchepkin Theater School, and she made the right decision - she finally succeeded!

First films with Victoria Lukina

After graduating from the Shchepkinskoye College in 2006, Victoria Lukina began acting in films. Like many of her acting colleagues, at first the girl played very small episodic roles. She appeared in one of the episodes of the project “Kulagin and Partners”, then played the “girl from the cake” in the series “Daddy’s Daughters”. As a result, a series of insignificant screen roles stretched out for two whole years, but later there was light at the end of the tunnel.

In 2008, our today’s heroine played with Dmitry Pevtsov in the romantic comedy “The Golden Key,” and immediately after that she also received a permanent role in the Russian television series “Margosha.” In this project, the actress played a simple and naive secretary named Lucy. As a result, it was this on-screen image that brought the girl her first real success. She gained personal fans. Her interviews began to appear one after another in some Russian magazines and newspapers. At some point, on the wave of popularity, the girl even decided to try herself as a model. As a result, her photographs appeared in several fashion publications.

In parallel with her cinematic career, Victoria Lukina’s career in the world of theater also proceeded. The actress played her first stage roles in student productions, but gained the greatest popularity while already playing on the stage of the Maly Theater. Among her stage works, it is worth highlighting the productions “The One Who Left Left Alone”, “Years of Wandering”, “There Was Not a Penny, But Suddenly Altyn”, etc.

Somewhat later, our today’s heroine changed the Maly Theater to the Vakhtangov Theater. And after some time she began performing on the stage of the Film Actor Theater and participating in enterprise productions. Victoria Lukina’s most famous work in the theater at the moment is the play “The Cherry Orchard,” which received many praises from viewers and critics.

Theater

But Victoria Lukina achieved success not only on the set. The audience warmly received the actress after appearing on the stage of the Maly Theater. The productions “The One Who Left Left Alone,” “Years of Wandering,” and “There Was Not a Penny, But Suddenly Altyn” enjoyed particular success.

Victoria Lukina

Soon the artist changed the stage of the Maly Theater to the Vakhtangov stage. As a guest actress, Lukina took part in enterprise performances of the Film Actor Theater. Theatergoers and critics consider Victoria’s best work to be the production of “The Cherry Orchard,” staged by the director of the La THEATER enterprise V. F. Dubrovitsky.

In 2020, Victoria Lukina became an actress at Yuri Grymov’s “Modern” theater. The girl has already appeared in the production “Brave New World”, where she played the heroine Lenina.

Victoria Lukina in TV series

Returning to the topic of cinema, we note that after her role in the TV series “Margosha” (which also starred Eduard Trukhmenev, Maria Berseneva, Elena Perova, Vladimir Sterzhakov and others), the actress’s career took a sharp turn. For some time, Victoria Lukina was offered similar roles as secretaries, but later the girl still managed to throw off the yoke of the boring image.

In 2009, she played one of the main roles in the low-budget thriller “Robinson”, and subsequently also appeared in the films “Loot”, “Office Online, or IT People” and some others. These projects strengthened the popularity of the actress. However, television still made Victoria Lukina a real star.

Victoria Lukina starred for Maxim magazine

Over the years, our today’s heroine has played prominent roles in such well-known projects as “The Lavrova Method”, “Who If Not Me”, “Two Fathers and Two Sons”. In parallel with this, the girl continued to star in new episodes of the series “Margosha-2” and “Margosha-3”. Thus, in recent years, the girl has constantly been in the center of attention of viewers.

From medicine to acting

Victoria Lukina was born on a lucky date - July 1 (07.07.) - in 1984 in Podolsk. Like many girls, she became interested in the creative career of an actress at a young age. The initial experience of public speaking included: poetry with the family, mini-performances for the younger sister, reading fables and their dramatization. When school was finished and the time came for admission, it turned out that the mother categorically disagreed with her daughter’s creative choice. Under pressure from her parents, Victoria entered the medical academy, but did not give up her dream of cinema. While studying to become a doctor, the future popular actress tried three times to pass the test for admission to the Moscow Art Theater, but each time was unsuccessful. The moment of triumph came when she changed higher educational institutions - Victoria superbly passed all the tests at the Theater School. Shchepkina and was enrolled in N.N.’s course. Afonina. This was the first step towards the cherished goal.

What's ahead?

It is, of course, difficult to say now what the future holds for Victoria Lukina, but the girl’s potential is simply enormous.
She can realize herself in any creative form, which is confirmed by her diverse works and experiments. Hard work, talent and a memorable appearance will be a good help on the way to your goal. That is why numerous fans are looking forward to new works, achievements and successes. Did you like the article

  1. Nadia:
I know Victoria Lukina from the TV series “Margosha”, I liked her acting and the girl herself is very bright and charismatic. I really like girls who achieve everything themselves.

    Answer

Victoria Lukina calls herself the happiest actress!

As far as I know from the description of the series, Zoya takes away the main character’s husband. So quiet, caring with dark thoughts...

Victoria tries to combine the role of a professional and a beautiful woman.

That's not true! My Zoya is very kind and open! She just clearly knows what she wants. She came to Moscow from the city of Minusinsk, near Krasnoyarsk. Do you know one? And I don't know! Imagine how she wanted to stay in Moscow! She is ready to get a job, she has an accounting degree, and she is not stupid, she learns everything very quickly! But I assure you there were no bad thoughts in her head from the beginning! She needs to gain a foothold here and start earning money so as not to embarrass anyone. Her character is such that she adapts to any situation. She has well-developed intuition. She feels what needs to be done for her goal in order to achieve it.

I understand that as an actress you justify her!

She really is very good! So this Siberian woman, blood and milk, who grew up eating homemade pies, cooks beautifully herself. What I mean is that when she arrived at her relatives’ place and saw that they were all eating store-bought food, Zoya turned around. She treats everyone very sincerely and tries to do well for everyone. Taking a closer look, she gets her bearings and understands that she can steer here not only in the kitchen. Although at first everything delights and delights her: this is necessary! She ended up in such a family, in the house of a great scientist! She has a clear eye for everything, she is sincerely interested in his scientific research, she does not understand anything about what he is telling, but she is delighted by the realization that next to her is a GREAT man, involved in something big and vast, unknown to her!

A very banal story - he is a teacher, she is a student...

(laughs – author’s note) And she constantly cries in front of Berkutov, takes him with her weakness: I’m so vulnerable, so tender that... I can’t be offended? and tears... Berkutov draws attention to her in contrast to his wife: Nina is very tough, strong-willed and not at all domestic. (Igor Gordin - performer of the role of Berkutov - Author's note ), Even the film crew calls me Cinderella - an asshole who thought through and calculated everything! But Zoya didn’t calculate! When, in the fit of her suffering, she kissed him for the first time, she was scared, and then believed that maybe this was it, that most wonderful feeling. And it is impossible to blame her for this; she, like every woman, wants love, a family, to be taken care of. For a moment, she believed that she could have a family and children with him. But I can't even say that she loves him. Alas, a very banal story happens: sometimes it seems to us that the person we like is ideal, we see his shortcomings, but they seem very beautiful, those highlights that distinguish this person from another, and when the veil falls, you realize that the raisins - it’s too dry... Zoya also understood this. And she is growing very quickly: in the six months she spent in Moscow, she has matured by 10 years. In the end, she is completely different! And externally too: if at first I was dirty all the time, sprinkled with flour, smeared with something, and in the end I am a real beauty!

Why didn’t Berkutov’s raisins please her?

He is afraid to make a decision to leave his wife and go to her! She acts by intuition! But ask me, how is my heroine similar to me? (smiles – Author’s note )

How is your heroine similar to you?

My intuition never lets me down either and I try to live by listening to it! How many times did she put me on the right path, I didn’t listen, I did it my way, but it brought me back on the right path again. It's the little things that show me that I should trust my gut feeling. And in some serious matters and questions, my intuition puts pressure on me! For some reason I am walking exactly the right path, I always know which person to approach and what to say.

Zoya, judging by your stories, is not at all like Lyusya, the secretary from Margosha...

And that's great! You know, initially Lucy was an episodic character, but then I became more and more present. By the way, approximately the same situation arose in the series “Terminal”. Director Roman Doronin called me, he and I

worked in the projects “IT people or online office” and “Robinson”, in an episode for the role of a nurse. I only went because I was interested in working with him again. And subsequently, I was “sent” to different heroes so that I could be in different storylines. So Lucy turned from a girl at the reception into a character. She is good, and I love Lucy very much, but after “Margosha” they began offering me the roles of secretaries. Only secretaries. And there were a lot of offers! They even offered the role of secretary Lyudmila Vladimirovna. I wasn’t interested! I decided to take a vacation, I thought: I’ll change myself, I really wanted to grow bangs, get rid of this image, and maybe they’ll forget... It was very important for me to break the stereotype of a secretary and a glamorous blonde. And what a thrill that our profession gives us the opportunity to transform ourselves! I love my profession! And I’m happy that I got into the series “Who else if not me?”!

By the way, how did you get there?

The acting assistant called me and asked how I was busy and if I would be okay with starring in the series? I said that of course I would be interested, but I’m leaving for Italy now, call me in a month! I returned and literally 10 days later Olya, the acting assistant, called me again and invited me to audition. I asked for the script, read it, thought that Zoya’s role was interesting, typical, not a secretary again. (laughs - Author’s note ) And in the end I asked about the director. When they told me that it was Olya Land, I agreed without any “ifs”. The fact is that several years ago, I auditioned for “Give You Young People!”, but it didn’t work out then. I keep track of all her projects! And I really wanted to work with Olya! As soon as I heard this, I just asked where I should come and was ready to leave right away! I was so inspired that day! It was even important to me that Olya remembers me after so much time! And why are they calling me for so long? I re-read the synopsis and all the episodes again and was so excited about this project!!! Naturally, I really wanted to please Olga!

How can you please a female director?

I had the experience of auditioning for a woman, and they looked at me appraisingly, maybe somewhere subconsciously there was rivalry. I came to Olya in a modest dress and with a huge desire to work with her! I was absolutely sure that I would be very comfortable! When I walked in, my heart was pounding! When she came out, she thanked Olya and said that I really dreamed of working with her, to which she thoughtfully said: this is how I imagined her! As it turned out later, Olya wrote this role and thought about me. So nothing happens by chance. So a short meeting at the audition “Give us youth!” resulted in this project.

When I was driving home, I asked all the higher powers, all my assistants, all my angels to grant me this happiness of working with Olga!

Literally that same evening they called me and said that 99.9 percent that I was approved! I was happy!

But you weren’t approved yet at that time?

In parallel, I had the release of the enterprise play “The Cherry Orchard”.

They believed in me and gave me the role of Varya. This is a very difficult role: she is a nun, modest, and has a very mature soul. She worries about everyone, takes on the pain of others, prays for everyone... The next day I was at rehearsal, and then I saw that I had 6 unpleasant calls from Olya on my phone. I was in a state where your heart doesn’t beat, you don’t breathe... I called, and She told me I was approved!!! At that moment I experienced the same feelings when I saw my name among those admitted to VTU named after Shchepkin!!!

My soul rejoiced! I fell ill with the project! I eagerly read the entire script, I really wanted to start rehearsing as soon as possible, because there are so many different things in it, you can play and search.

Everything coincided very well, even the fact that the start of the project was postponed. I was able to calmly release the performance, and then filming began. And ask me about what happened for the first time on this project?

What a good conversationalist you are: you come up with your own questions! Tell me, did something happen to you for the first time on this project?

This was my first plate! I was so happy! This is such a cinematic ritual: you take an ordinary white plate, write the name of the project on it, everyone present on the set signs it, and after the first shot everyone gathers and the director smashes it on the camera tripod! The fragments of the plate are disassembled and stored for a long, long time so that the fate of the film or series turns out well! So, we signed “I signed at the very last moment when we brought the plate onto the site,” the plate was broken, and everyone began to collect the pieces. I grabbed the first one I came across, and then began to look for a piece with soya painting. When all the fragments were sorted out, I looked at the fragment in my hand and saw that it said “Who if...” and my painting. Can you imagine!? It's so cool! And then I “suffered”: there were no scenes with my participation for a week! I was exhausted, I called everyone. I was dying, I really wanted to go to the set. I just wanted to be there, next to Olya! I've never had anything like this! I’m ready to drop everything and come to the site at any moment! I even have dreams about how Olya and I are doing well and everything is going well, and that she manages the process very easily!

The question is probably superfluous, judging by the enthusiasm with which you speak about the project. And yet, how do you like working with Olga?

“Zoe is a difficult role. Have you already been told? - Olya asked me during the auditions. “We haven’t made it yet. Why is it complicated?” “She’s constantly changing. And he really feels it." And indeed, in one frame she behaves differently with everyone, she both cries and laughs, uses so many different colors! I feel very good with Olya! She allows you to open up, doesn’t put pressure on you, and when you are not constrained by boundaries, you open up yourself. When we go to the side, she puts us back on the rails, but we ourselves choose where to stop. Olya is one of those directors who let you improvise. She also feels people very well and when selecting actors, she knows who can play well.

Victoria Lukina: I’m ready to drop everything and come to the site at any moment!

By the way, tell us about your colleagues...

Oh, this is another reason to be happy working on this project. There are a lot of family and friends here!

When I was approved, my friend, whom we met at Margosh, called. For two years of filming, she blew dust off Lucy and prepared her costumes. Anechka always came to my aid when I moved, she helped me!

Her beloved “Lyuska” is sick, Anechka will come and bring medicine. And she’ll just be there. And then I find out that Anya will also work on the project. She also agreed because I was there. So now we are “dressing” Zoya. Then it turned out that Andrei Silkin, who was the second director on “Margosha,” will work on the same project.

Rimma, the daughter of the main characters, had not yet been approved. We decided to propose Anya Mikhailovskaya. I grabbed my iPod and started showing Olya the photos. I don’t know if it was with our recommendations, but to our great happiness, Anya was invited to audition and approved! Then more people came, with whom we worked on this project. Once again you are convinced that the cinematic world is very small, and indeed the whole universe in general! It's just that everyone has their own. So we work among our family and friends.

Wonderful Alena Khmelnitskaya! For some reason I thought that she was very strict and cold, but it turned out that she is a very sociable, open, kind person. I changed my opinion about her!

In “Margosha” Anya was an “unkind girl”, but here, on the contrary, she is the “injured party”...

By and large, she doesn't care about me. She has her own story, her own love story. But this does not stop Rimma from plotting against Zoya.

Many actors say that they are approved for the role, but with one condition...

They told me to get better too! The fact is that at our last meeting with Olga, I was denser. And according to the script, everyone imagined such a fat rural woman with rosy cheeks. But for the role of Varya, I lost weight. And then they tell me: I need to gain 5-8 kilograms. I was a little upset, because they made costumes for me at the theater, and the image was such that I shouldn’t be a donut.

I decided that I would play a few performances, and then just before filming I would try to get better. Fortunately, I didn’t have to do this: they found a thickening for me. By the way, it is in it that Anna Ardova plays one of her characters “One for All.” So at the beginning I gained 15-20 kilograms. You can’t let yourself go like that, I tell you! It was a funny story. On one of the first days they put on a suit for me, I stand in front of the mirror, touch my folds in front of the mirror and joyfully sing: fat, fat, fat, fat!!! Someone from the film crew passed by and was shocked: for the first time, he said, I see a woman who is so happy about her fat! And then the uninitiated kept asking me: how do I manage to change “volumes” so often? I come home thin in the morning, plump on the playground, and go home slim again! It's an amazing feeling when you take pictures of everything! And you think how good it is that it’s not mine and doesn’t need to be thrown away!

Your heroine is a cook and a noble housewife, but how homely are you?

I can cook and used to really love to do it! The Shchepkino hostel spoiled me: the shared kitchen, which was unpleasant to spend time in. But this is not necessary in Moscow: the city has many different cafes and restaurants, ranging from food trucks to elite restaurants. The choice is very large and as much money as you have in your pocket, you can eat. Otherwise, I am the hostess. I really love the comfort of home. Beauty in any of its manifestations. I have been interested in Feng Shui for 7 years now. And I arranged my home in harmony with my inner world!!! I’m not a party girl. I much prefer to sit in a cozy place. No, of course I’m going out somewhere to take my new dress for a walk (laughs – Author’s note ). I have a whole closet of dresses that are sewn and sewn...

Are you sewing!?

My friend Natalie Smith sews. I love shopping, but when I got Natalie, she showed me a completely different side of things. I really love bright things. Even my car is bright. But there are no such things in stores! You walk in and everything is black, gray, beige, brown. Many people are afraid to wear color. Natasha tells me that I’m the only one who loves everything juicy, bright, such ultrics! I'm not afraid of these flowers! And I feel very comfortable in them!

Have there been funny cases of people recognizing you?

After filming the first season of “Margosha,” Masha Bersenyeva and I went to Thailand. Naturally, we went to the grassy show. We called them Margoshiks. These men transformed into women and dressed in multi-colored feather dresses... of course we couldn’t miss the moment and not take a photo with them! We were laughing, taking pictures, and suddenly a man came out of the crowd with a camera, which he used to film everything that was happening around. Suddenly we come into the field of view of his camera. The person’s face changes: it’s Margosha! Then he sees me, kisses my hands and says that all his life he dreamed of a secretary like him! He films all this, tries to make sure that he himself gets into the camera, so that he can show it later and everyone believes that he really saw us and was nearby. He made a fuss, all the Russians came running and started taking pictures with us, but the foreigners didn’t understand that they were running at us like that?

And just recently there was a story. I was planning to go to a meeting in the evening and the taxi driver, who was spinning between the houses and could not find my entrance, made me terribly angry. I wasn't in the mood, I was late. It was very cold, I wrapped myself in a fur coat and a scarf and stood like that waiting for my taxi. Besides, it was already dark. Two girls, about 15-17 years old, passed me. They looked at me, and when they passed they shouted: “Lucy! Lucy! Vika Lukina rules!” And I smiled, it’s completely incomprehensible how they recognized me in this form. Nice!

Have you taken advantage of your popularity?

Mom used it, but by accident. She was stopped by a traffic cop, she submitted the documents, and there was my photograph. He recognized me, and my mother said that it was her daughter. He took her into the car and began to show her: this is Lucy’s mother! So I saved my mother from a fine!!

Actresses very often say that they sacrificed their personal lives for their careers...

It is nonsense! Everything is in our head. The extent to which you set a program for yourself, the extent to which it will work for you. What settings you give yourself is what you will receive. Everything depends only on oneself, because a person is the architect of his own happiness and his own universe!

You can succeed in any field of your activity and perfectly combine the role of mother, wife, professional and beautiful woman. Who cares about this!? Look, Katya Volkova - she gave birth to a daughter during the filming of “The Voronins.” And Katya Klimova gave birth to three children, and there are many such examples... I am sure that everything comes at the right time and at the right hour. And as much as a person is ready for this!!! I know for sure that all dreams are possible, you just have to really believe!
