Victoria Fedorova: short biography, personal life, films

Family

Victoria Fedorova, daughter of Zoya Fedorova, was born on January 18, 1946 in Moscow. Her parents' love story was somewhat tragic. Jackson Roger Tate came to Moscow, where he met Zoya. They started dating, but after a while he was expelled from the USSR. He was informed in an anonymous letter that Zoya had gotten married and asked not to disturb her. Tate stopped writing to her, never knowing that he had a daughter. As a result, Victoria saw him only many years later, already an adult.

The actress's childhood and long-awaited meeting with her mother

After Stalin's death, the cases of many innocently convicted people were reviewed. Among the lucky ones who were released was Zoya Fedorova. In the winter of 1955, she was released and was given the opportunity to return to Moscow.

Victoria Fedorova cause of death

The freed actress did not come to the capital of the USSR alone. Together with her mother, young Victoria Fedorova returned here, whose biography changed greatly from that moment: now she was not the daughter of a convict, but a young Muscovite for whom fantastic prospects opened up.

After graduating from school at the age of sixteen, the girl firmly decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps - to become an actress. Therefore, she entered the local drama studio and began to master this profession.

Film career

In 1964, Victoria Fedorova, daughter of Zoya Fedorova, starred in her first three films. But her “finest hour” was the film “Two,” released the following year. It was shown on screens around the world under a different title: “The Ballad of Love.” Victoria really hoped that her father, whom she had been looking for unsuccessfully since childhood (as soon as she found out about him), would see the picture and definitely respond. Actually, she entered the acting department with the hope of this.

After the film, which brought her fame, Victoria Fedorova starred in many more films until she went abroad. She got married in America and settled permanently. She quickly learned English, but the Russian accent still remained. As a result, the path to the Hollywood stage was closed for her. Realizing that the most they could offer her was small supporting roles (and then spies), she left her career as an actress.

Other projects with Victoria Fedorova

Victoria had to combine her studies with filming. So, during her student years, she played in such films as “They Live Nearby,” “Strong in Spirit,” “Literature Lesson,” and “Crime and Punishment.”

After graduating from VGIK, Victoria Fedorova continued to act a lot. Films with her participation did not appear very often - about one per year. Of course, most of them did not become hits, but they were received very warmly by the public.

The artist herself admitted years later that she remained dissatisfied with most of the projects in which she had to star in subsequent years (“Reckoning,” “The White Queen’s Move,” “Residence Permit,” “Anger”).

Victoria Fedorova considered her main achievements throughout her career in the USSR to be her participation in the films “Two” and “About Love.”

Find father

Victoria Fedorova learned that her father was alive only at the age of 13. Her mother finally told her about him. And she said that he was American. Victoria’s expectations that her father would respond after the film “Two”, which spread all over the world, were in vain. But she stubbornly continued to search for him.

The Russian-American writer Irina Kerk helped her in this. It was the height of the Cold War between the USSR and America. The search had to be carried out with great caution. Several years passed before Irina found Tate's address. She wrote him several letters, but there was no response.

Tate was married for the third time at that time. He rose to the rank of retired admiral. I wasn’t going to answer the stranger’s letters, but curiosity won out. After calling Irina, he found out that he had a daughter. Tate was touched and excited. Having received a photo of his daughter from Irina, he immediately recognized her, as she was very similar to him.

Victoria Fedorova, an actress of the USSR, received an invitation from America from her father and tried to leave for the USA to finally meet him. But relations between the countries were quite tense, and the authorities hindered in every possible way and did not give an exit visa. It got to the point that Victoria had to hold a press conference at home from two American journalists. And through them, inform the whole world that the trip to the USA has nothing to do with political views, and she just really wants to see her father.

That helped. The American newspaper The New York Times published an article about her. 4 columns. After its publication, a month later, she still got a visa stamp in her passport. Observing increased secrecy measures (since Victoria and her mother were constantly under surveillance), she flew to America, where she finally met her father.

Personal life

Victoria Fedorova met her first husband Irakli while studying at VGIK. He was also a student. And I studied to be a director. In their third year they got married. But their marriage did not last long. Irakli was very jealous and on this basis tried to commit suicide three times. They divorced in 1969.

After a while, Victoria met Sergei, the son of her mother’s friend. He worked as an architect. She got married, but the marriage was again unsuccessful. Victoria's mother-in-law disliked her. Divorce followed in 1972. By that time, Victoria herself had come to the conclusion that she did not love Sergei.

A little time passed and she got married again. For the third time, Valentin Yezhov, a famous film screenwriter, became her husband. He was much older than Victoria. In addition, Valentin drank heavily. Victoria also became addicted to alcohol. Long drinking bouts began. Her mother chased Sergei away, but he did not leave. Then she accused him of antisocial behavior, and the son-in-law finally disappeared from the horizon. Another divorce from Victoria followed.

In the summer of 1975, she married again. Her fourth husband was the American pilot Frederick Puy. They lived together for 17 years. The next year they had a son, who was named Christopher Alexander Fedor. But this marriage of Victoria broke up again. The couple divorced in 1990.

Victoria died of lung cancer at the age of 66, on September 5, 2012. Her ashes were scattered over the Pocono Mountains. This was her last wish.

Losing a mother

The death of her mother was the last thread that connected Victoria with her homeland. Zoya came to America several times and was planning to move in with her daughter for good. But in December 1981 she was killed in her own apartment with a shot in the head. A criminal case was opened, but never solved.

Nobody broke into the apartment; Zoya opened the door for the killer herself. Because of this, there was speculation that it was someone she knew. But no one began to “dig.” And the case was quietly put into the archives. They didn’t even give Zoya a place in the cemetery. And all Victoria’s attempts to find justice failed. Only her closest relatives were able to ensure that Zoya Fedorova was at least buried.

At the Debutante Ball, Peskov’s ex-wife also “made her debut” - with a new companion

Debutantes of high society attended the Tatler ball in the columned hall of the House of Unions. The annual ball is organized by the magazine to present to the “society” the grown-up heiresses of famous families.

The celebration was preceded by a small bachelorette party at the St. Regis Hotel , organized by the fur brand. The debutantes tried on fur coats and vests and posed for photographers while drinking champagne.

There, Chanel makeup artists helped the girls prepare for their appearance on the floor. The girls were treated to outfits from famous couturiers, rows of Christian Loubouti shoes, Chanel Joaillerie jewelry, and a Bentley was brought to the Cinderella Union House.

Maria Fedorova, Veronica Fedorova and Alexander Terekhov

One of the most thorough debutantes is the daughter of the editor of the Russian Glamor magazine Maria Fedorova - Veronica . Long before the ball, she was chosen by the fashion house Alexander Terekhov (although the “losing weight” Ksenia Sobchak announced that dresses from this brand are suitable for slender young ladies), it is clear that Terekhov tried his best - until the last moment the designer waited for the perfect fabric from Italy and finally made a masterpiece made of violet silk for young Veronica.

Elizaveta Peskova

Another famous girl, the daughter of presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, Lisa, . She wore an Enzoani dress with “foamy” ruffles, and the mother accompanying Cinderella wrapped herself in 4 meters of silk, embroidered with crystals and silver threads from the Russian brand A La Russe Anastasia Romantsova.

Ekaterina Peskova with her new lover and son Denis

Peskov’s ex-wife showed off another “new thing” - her new lover Jacques von Pollier .

Sofia Kiperman , daughter of singer Vera Brezhneva also appeared at the debutante ball . To get the outfit, the girl flew to Paris alone and brought back the perfect powder-colored dress from the Elie Saab Haute Couture studio.

Valeria's 22-year-old daughter Anna Shulgina also made a debutante . For the ball, she chose a dress from Edem Wedding, the studio that sewed Tatyana Navka’s .

Sofia Rotaru's 14-year-old appeared at the ball in an Armani Prive dress, the embroidered top of which weighs 2.5 kilograms. However, the weight of the dress did not prevent the heiress of the famous singer from walking around the columned hall with ease and grace.

daughter Melania Kondrakhina appeared in a dress from Tony Ward. The designer sent her two evening dresses at once; the girl made her final choice just a week before the celebration. The dress was probably a little heavy; the girl was slightly slouched all evening.

After the ball, the girls went to dinner at the Bolshoi restaurant, where they changed from their ball gowns to more comfortable ones, but no less couture.
