Childhood and family of Alexander Arsentiev
Sasha was born in Togliatti.
When he went to kindergarten, he wanted to figure out what kind of hero to become like. Then a film about the three musketeers came out. Not yet knowing the essence of the picture, he wanted to become a cardinal, only because he walked all in black. When he saw the whole film, he realized that there was no one “cooler” than D’Artagnan, and he wanted to be like him. Alexander’s grandfather was a fighter pilot, the boy wanted to become just like his grandfather, but his health was not as strong as his heroic grandfather. Because of this, I had to forget about my dream of becoming a pilot. Another childhood dream was to become a huntsman. Alexander and his grandfather went hunting more than once. They mounted horses, took dogs and set off with guns to hunt the hares.
Actor Alexander Arsentiev - star of the musical Chicago
Sasha loved watching films. Mom often bought a cinema subscription for him, and he went there to see all the films in a row, sometimes watching the same thing several times. Often, because of the next show at the cinema, he missed school classes. Most of all, the boy liked films about heroic deeds, rescue, and shooting. Sasha was delighted with such stories.
Arsentiev always took part in school productions, and did so very enthusiastically, but he perceived acting on stage solely as a hobby.

The youth of the future actor: Arsenyev was an electrician
After school, he was going to enter Samara University at the Faculty of Philology, but failed.
The young man passed the documents to a vocational school, where he received the profession of an electrical mechanic. Next came military service. After serving, he joined AvtoVAZ, where his duties included repairing refrigeration equipment. Sasha worked, and he himself thought about what he should become, what profession he should master in order to earn good money. After reflection, he decided that there was nothing more profitable than being a lawyer. Having made a choice, I began to prepare to enter law school.
For six months he studied literature and textbooks. However, in reality everything happened differently. For the company, he signed up for theater courses and entered the “Wheel” theater studio. Alexander studied there for a year, became truly interested in acting and went to Moscow to master the profession there.
Arsentyev entered several theater universities at once, but still settled on the Moscow Art Theater School, although at that time he had already been accepted into GITIS for the course of Mark Zakharov. Having taken the documents from there, the future actor brought them to the Moscow Art Theater. Upon admission, he managed to surprise the commission not with a fable or a passage of prose, but with a patter and a biography told in one breath. There was nothing outstanding about it, but the way he did it on one note brought smiles and laughter. He was enrolled, and he ended up on a course with Oleg Efremov himself.

Later, Arsentiev’s filmography included leading roles in the lyrical comedy “Yurochka” and the melodrama “The Secret of the Impregnable Beauty”. Among Alexander’s heroes are businessmen and doctors, teachers and captains. The artist has always been able to effectively present a noble image from the screen. This is facilitated by the performer’s external characteristics - with a height of 187 cm, his weight is 80 kg.
For himself, the artist has long answered the question of what real success in art is. Arsentiev believes that this is internal self-satisfaction and conformity with one’s own nature. Media exposure for Alexander is of secondary importance.
Filmography of Alexander Arsentiev
Film directors could not help but notice the handsome, slender young actor.
He often plays heroes-lovers, handsome men. He first starred in 1998. It was one of the episodes of “Chekhov and Co.” A number of small roles followed. His role as Count D'Arny in the film "Adjutants of Love" brought him fame. The young handsome man immediately won the hearts of many women. Such a role for a novice actor was a real success. This character was and remains extremely interesting for Alexander. He does not consider his hero a negative character. His spy, like many people in everyday life, has to play many roles during the day. His D'Arny is forced to overcome the obstacles encountered in his life in order to continue his path.
In “The Institute of Noble Maidens” Alexander got the role of the handsome Vorontsov. He believes that such cloyingly positive heroes do not exist in real life, but admits that in films such heroes have a right to exist, since adults also want to believe in a fairy tale and see it on screens.
