Dina Garipova about the duet with Garou, experiments and the language barrier

Childhood and family

Garipova Dina Fagimovna was born on March 25, 1991 in Tatarstan. Its homeland is the city of Zelenodolsk, located on the banks of the Volga.

Our heroine was brought up in an intelligent and respected family. The girl’s father and mother are candidates of medical sciences. Initially, they wanted their daughter to follow in their footsteps. But already in early childhood, Dina demonstrated creative abilities. She liked to draw, dance and sing.

It is possible that she inherited her vocal talent from her dad. At one time, Fagim Mukhametovich composed and performed funny songs and lyrical romances.

Dina has an older brother whose name is Bulat. He received a higher legal education. In his free time from work, the young man is engaged in creativity. He has an ideal ear for music and a good sense of rhythm. My brother tried to protect our heroine from the world of show business. He persuaded his sister to try herself as a TV presenter or journalist.

Biography of Sergei Zhilin

Sergei Zhilin is a famous composer, conductor, and virtuoso pianist.
His weight is a little more than 100 kg, and his height is about 2 meters. He was born on October 23, 1966 in Moscow. When the boy was not yet 3 years old, his grandmother, who taught violin and piano lessons, decided that her grandson should at least have good musical skills, and then a creative career was not far away. Seryozha had to devote 4-5 hours to music every day.

At the same time, the boy studied at a school for gifted children at the conservatory. His studies weren't going well, and in a short time he managed to get more bad marks than anyone else. This was due to the fact that he divided all his time between aircraft modeling, a theater group, football, cycling and musical ensembles.

Zhilin did not want to study at the military music school when he realized that he would have to give up all his hobbies. The boy moved to a comprehensive school, but everything was not smooth there either.

After the 8th grade, Serezha went to a vocational school to master the specialty of an electrician in aircraft devices, where he did what he liked. Even in the army, he served in a song and dance ensemble, running AWOL to rehearsals.

Later, the young man received a diploma from the International Academy of Sciences in San Marino, where he studied for a master's degree. None of my former classmates decided to seriously connect their lives with music.

After 35 years, the head of the Central Music School turned to Sergei with a request to give a master class to the current generation. In honor of the institution’s anniversary, a concert program was organized, at which he gave a final performance.

As a child and teenager, Seryozha liked Grieg, Rachmaninov and other romantic composers. But suddenly his attention was switched to jazz, which greatly upset his grandmother. This is due to the fact that he came across the “Leningrad Dixieland” record, which he listened to constantly.

Capabilities

Garipova Dina started studying music early. Parents fully supported their daughter’s creative impulses. At the age of 6, Dinochka became a student at the local song theater “Golden Microphone”. The girl’s strong voice (2.4 octaves) amazed teachers and mentors. In subsequent years, Dina Garipova took part in many competitions and festivals. The songs she performed sounded loud and clear, leaving the professional jury indifferent.

1999 brought the girl her first serious achievement in the musical field. Then Dina went to the All-Russian vocal competition for children “Firebird” and became its laureate. After that, she began to receive invitations to various events. The young native of Zelenodolsk performed at republican and all-Russian festivals. She also managed to participate in international competitions. Dina sang not only solo, but also as part of the group of the Golden Microphone Theater. Almost always the girl took prizes.

After the decisive vote in the show, Dina's life turned upside down. From a simple girl she turned into a girl from the front pages of newspapers, and in her native Tatarstan she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic.

Dina Garipova: “The Voice”

2012 was a turning point for our heroine. The oriental beauty applied to participate in the vocal competition “The Voice”. In October 2012, the project started on Channel One. She was lucky to become a participant.

She still remembers her feelings and excitement when presenter Dmitry Nagiyev announced: “Dina Garipova is coming on stage.” “Blind auditions” allow jury members to evaluate exclusively the vocal capabilities of the participants, and not their external characteristics. The singer from Tatarstan performed the famous romance “And finally...”. The amazing timbre of Dina’s (mezzo-soprano) voice did not leave the most experienced jury member, Alexander Gradsky, indifferent. It was on his team that Garipova ended up.

On December 29, 2012, the final of the country's main vocal show took place. 4 participants made it to the finals - our heroine, Margarita Pozoyan, Anastasia Spiridonova and Elmira Kalimullina.

The winner of the project was Dina Garipova. The singer from Tatarstan received 54.1% of the votes from television viewers. This is more than 927 thousand SMS and calls.

Show "The Voice"

Not everyone remembers the first and last name of our heroine. Some people, looking at her photo, try to remember where they saw Dina. Garipova took part in the television project “The Voice” in 2012. She managed to pass the blind audition. The girl chose Alexander Gradsky as her mentor. The master of the Russian stage made a big bet on this performer. And Dina Garipova (see photo above) did not let him down. The young singer gave 100% on stage.

Thanks to the audience's support, our heroine not only reached the final of the show, but was also declared the winner. 927,282 people voted for her. Garipova Dina was ahead of Elmira Kalimullina, who was predicted to win.

As a prize, the singer from Tatarstan received a lucrative contract with the Universal recording studio. Participation in “The Voice” served as a springboard for the further development of Dina’s career. The girl traveled all over the country on tour. And in the fall of 2014, her first solo concert took place on the stage of Crocus City Hall. Ordinary people and stars of Russian show business came to enjoy the singing of this wonderful girl.

In February 2020, Alexander Gradsky invited his former ward to work at his Musical Theater. The singer happily accepted his offer.

"Eurovision"

After an unprecedented victory in the finals of the show “The Voice,” Dina was offered to represent Russia at an international vocal competition. We are talking about Eurovision. The girl could not miss such a chance.

A whole team of composers and authors worked on writing a song for Garipova. Eurovision 2013 took place in the Swedish city of Malmo. At the qualifying performance, Garipova Dina performed the song What if. She managed to get to the finals.

On May 18, 2013, the representative of Russia took 5th place among the best performers according to the results of audience voting. The victory in Eurovision went to a native of Denmark, Emmilie de Forest.

Preparing for two serious projects cost Dina a lot of time and effort. But the girl did everything possible to avoid expulsion from the university. In 2013, she successfully defended her thesis, becoming a professional journalist.

“Non-random coincidence” by Dina Garipova and Sergei Zhilin

Could an ordinary girl Dina, born and raised in a small town in Tatarstan, with the poetic name Zelenodolsk, imagine that fate would someday present her with so many surprises? At first she was lucky to get on the show “The Voice”, where she triumphantly became the “main voice of the country”, overcoming very tough competition! Later she had a responsible mission - to represent Russia at the international Eurovision contest! And she performed this task perfectly!

In 2020, Dina Garipova was lucky enough to perform on the main stage of our country with the symphony-jazz orchestra of Sergei Zhilin.

On October 7, on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace, Dina Garipova and Sergei Zhilin, together with the Phonograph-Sympho-Jazz orchestra, presented the concert program “It is no coincidence” to the capital’s audience.

In this concert program, each of the artists told their own musical success story - how their artistic journey began. An excursion into the history of the creative development of Sergei Zhilin and Dina Garipova was made. Both of these paths led them to the main stage of the country. No matter how different they may be, they have a lot in common, and all these coincidences in musical tastes and creative activities are not accidental (like everything in our lives).

The musical union of Sergei and Dina allowed each of them to open up in a rather unexpected way.

Talent always brings success! And if the Dream goes with them step by step, then all boundaries and barriers are neutralized and fall on their faces, because real art has no boundaries!

Giving a concert at the main concert venue of the country is, of course, the dream of every Artist; this is a kind of Recognition of His Calling! Not everyone’s Dream comes true, but Dina’s did!

Let us note that maestro Sergei Zhilin and his band are very selective in duets, as befits a master of music, so we can safely say that the concert of the legendary band in a creative tandem with Dina Garipova is the highest appreciation of her professionalism and talent!

Let us emphasize that Garipova is a graduate of the Institute of Contemporary Art. Dina always remembers with great gratitude and reverence her native “alma mater”, headed by rector Irina Naumovna Sukholet. And the management of the institute, in turn, is proud of one of its most famous graduates!

Television gives popularity to a multimillion-dollar audience. Participation in a top-rated show can be called a “start to creative life” for many, many artists. But what will the journey on this Tour be like? Here, as a rule, everything depends on the Artist himself! If he manages to find a response in the hearts of the public and leave an indelible mark on souls with his creativity, then he has chosen the right path in his life! Dina Garipova opened a path to the souls of the audience and made millions of hearts tremble with her Voice! Garipova’s creativity resonates with a variety of people, regardless of habits and priorities, geography of residence and age.

Among the guests of honor at the concert in the Kremlin was the legendary poet Andrei Dmitrievich Dementiev!

The concert program was composed of compositions of completely different genres, in several languages. The evening consisted of 25 compositions, including world-famous hits and hits of Russian music, as well as original compositions: “Non-random song”, “Love is a magical land”, “And finally I’ll say”, “By the water”, “Kunel” "", "The Fifth Element", "Rhapsody No. 1", "I will always love you", "Chicago", "LOVE" and many other songs and musical sketches. Garipova performed the timeless anthem of all lovers, the song “Loving Do Not Renounce,” in tandem with her creative mentor, Alexander Gradsky. In a duet with the Igor Krutoy Choir, Garipova presented the song “What if”.

The audience received each number with deafening applause, the audience sang along to familiar melodies, and listened to new ones with interest and reacted warmly. Garipova, unlike many modern “stars,” is not afraid to improvise on stage, since she is a true professional with excellent command of vocal and stagecraft! The unique voice of the brilliant vocalist “plays” with a kaleidoscope of nuances and timbre shades.

During one of the numbers, Dina asked Sergei Sergeevich to show how he can conduct with his eyes! The maestro inspiredly demonstrated a literally magnetic contact with the musicians!

During the song “The Fifth Element,” a presentation of a video for this composition took place on the huge Kremlin screens, which contains the lines: “And we will be together for three hundred years. Distance makes no sense. Look, inside me is the answer. I am your fifth element. I am your fifth... element..."

Dina can easily be called not only the fifth element, but also the sixth sense, and even a real wonder of the world! She is only 26 years old! We have an impressive creative baggage of achievements and victories behind us! New horizons and discoveries are ahead! There is no doubt that Dina Garipova will conquer the Kremlin and many other stage venues both in our country and abroad! She has everything for this - an amazing voice that resonates in hearts and souls, inexhaustible energy, bright personality and charisma, perseverance and determination! It is symbolic that in translation from Arabic her name means “strong.” Garipova is such a Personality in every sense of the word! May her strength never end! Inspiration and new victories, beautiful Dina!

Continuation of singing career

Our heroine could get a job in the editorial office of some newspaper or try herself as a TV presenter. However, the beauty wanted to continue her singing career.

In October 2014, Universal released her debut album, Two Steps to Love. Dina Garipova has been working towards this for so long. The songs recorded on the record immediately fell in love with Russian listeners. The most popular compositions were “Lullaby”, “What if” and “Twilight” (a cover version of the song by A. German).

The presentation of Garipova's first album took place at Crocus City Hall. The hall was completely filled - there was no free space left near the stage or on the balconies. The local public received her songs very well. At the end of the concert, the singer happily signed autographs and allowed fans to take photos with her.

The celebration itself was attended only by close friends, as well as relatives from the bride and groom. The couple in love spent their honeymoon in Cuba.

The newlyweds did everything to make their wedding day truly the happiest of their lives. In order to hide from the prying eyes of journalists, Dina and her groom kept preparations for the celebration in the strictest confidence. First of all, the lovers decided to get married according to the Muslim rite - nikah. This sacrament made them husband and wife back in July 2020. For such an important event, the girl was looking for an unusually beautiful, chastely closed white dress. And, of course, I found it. Later, Dina demonstrated this traditional outfit at a private speech on the occasion of the opening of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
