Cheating husbands and the death of Vera Glagoleva: experiences of Marina Yakovleva

Biography

Honored Artist of Russia Marina Yakovleva was born in Siberia in the family of a railway driver and a paramedic.
Marina decided to become an actress in high school. After graduating from school, she set off to conquer Moscow. She arrived in the capital with a huge suitcase of books and was able to enter GITIS the first time, captivating the admissions committee with her bright gift and great desire to learn. According to the actress herself, her speech was simply monstrous, but thanks to her hard work, she quickly got rid of her speech impediments.

Youth

The famous actress Marina Yakovleva is pleased. Her biography originates in Siberia. At school she was given all the subjects, she brought home good grades and enjoyed the respect of her teachers. As a child, dreams of an acting career never occurred to her. Of course, she, like many other girls, loved movies and chose her favorite characters. She was inspired by Rumyantseva, Mordyukova, Churikova. It was thanks to them, perhaps, that the girl’s talent was revealed, and over time it became clear that Marina Yakovleva was an actress.

Her biography as a creative person begins at a more conscious age, closer to graduation. After the last class, she goes to the capital to begin training in her chosen craft.

Movie

Marina began acting in films while still a student. In just a couple of years, she participated in several films, the most notable of which were Yuri Egorov’s children’s adventure film “Wind of Wandering” and Alexander Gordon’s melodrama “Scenes from Family Life.”

In the aspiring actress, the directors saw a positive, so-called “blue heroine,” and she subsequently had to literally fight for character roles, which were much more interesting to her.

After college, in the 80s, the young actress starred in such films as “General Shubnikov’s Corps”, “Sashka”, “People in the Swamp”, “One Day Twenty Years Later”.

In 1982, Marina became an actress at the film studio. M. Gorky. Directors increasingly began to invite her to lead roles. In the film story “The Limit of Desires” by Alexander Mindadze, she played the kindergarten teacher Vera, in the musical comedy “Silver Revue” by Vladimir Gorikker - the ice ballet soloist, dreamer and dreamer Lena, in the social melodrama “Good Intentions” by Andrei Benkendorf - Nadezhda, a teacher of the junior group boarding school in a provincial town. As a rule, Yakovleva’s heroines are cheerful, purposeful and, of course, beautiful girls who are in love with their profession.

Marina was the same in life - cheerful and unapproachable. She recalls this incident: “When I was filming Scenes from Family Life, nearby in the pavilion Mark Zakharov was filming the film That Same Munchausen, and one very famous artist often looked into my dressing room, he was starring there - for me he was a star! I was in love with him, but only as an artist. And one day, when he met me at the elevator in the evening, he attacked me with kisses! I was terribly indignant: he did not give me a bouquet of roses, did not kneel in front of me and did not promise love until the grave! I slapped him so hard that he flew about three meters and fell on his back. Alexander Abdulov became an involuntary witness to this scene. Completely dumbfounded by what he saw, he said, “Don’t pester the girl. Let’s go, let’s go” picked up the fallen “star” and led him away from sin. Now this is probably funny and wild. But then I was like that and, most importantly, it seemed to me that there was no other way.”

The historical series “Mikhailo Lomonosov”, the fairy tale “After the Rain on Thursday”, and the military drama “Reward (posthumously)” were very popular with viewers.

Cinema The 90s for Marina Alexandrovna, as for most domestic actors, was not the best time. But with the revival of domestic cinema, she found herself in demand again. True, now the actress plays not young girls, but older roles. Especially often lately she has had the opportunity to play all sorts of mothers, as, for example, in the series “Afromoskvich”. But in “The Moscow Saga” her heroine is the housekeeper Agasha, who lives in the professor’s family from her youth to her old age.

In total, the actress has made more than 110 film and television films. Her most striking characters were in the comedy “Unexpected Joy”, the crime drama “Crazy Angel”, the lyrical comedy “Stroybatya”, the psychological drama “March of the Slavic Woman” and the series “Alien Life”.

One of the most notable works of the actress was the main role in the drama “Falling Up.” Marina Aleksandrovna admitted: “I refused the role for a long time, because it seemed to me that I could not play such a vile creature - a woman who takes her husband away from her friend. I've been treated this way in my life. But I never know how to be mean. But they persuaded me, and apparently the role in the resistance was a success.” The role was truly a success; Yakovleva’s character turned out to be both seductively attractive and at the same time insidious and bitchy.

In 2020, Marina starred in the melodrama “Pearls,” shown on the Rossiya TV channel.

Actress Marina Yakovleva

You can't show a man your feelings. As soon as you start praising him, he loses interest in you

- Remember your first love?

— I was in fourth grade then. My friend Olya and I went to the skating rink, where she introduced me to Joseph. The boy is small, but I was captivated by his cheerful cornflower blue eyes, full of charm. I fell in love like an adult! Until the tenth grade, I waited every day for him to go to class (and he studied in the second shift) in order to look at the object of my liking. I showered him with sweets and gifts.

— Did he reciprocate your feelings?

“Iosif liked me, but when I began to show him signs of attention, he abruptly moved away from me. Then I realized that you can’t show your feelings to a man. As soon as you start praising him, he loses interest in you. But how can you restrain yourself if you are madly in love?! I was very worried when he had a girlfriend. I had many boys courting me, but I was focused on Joseph.

FIRST BUT NOT LAST

— Did you have many suitors?

- From an early age! I had only to look at the boy and he immediately fell in love. And when he started running after me, I turned away from him. On March 8th, I always brought gifts to school. I remember that a boy named Pasha in the third grade gave me the book “Fables of S. Mikhalkov” with beautiful reproductions and the signature: “Marina! I wish you excellent studies and happiness, especially in love!” And in my first year at the theater institute, I fell in love with a handsome boy, Dima, but the feelings were not mutual. All my classmates made fun of me, but I could not hide my love.

— Your first husband was the famous actor Andrei Rostotsky. How did his parents accept you?

“They approved of their son’s choice.” Although Andrei’s mother (actress Nina Menshikova) believed that it was too early for a man to get married at 23 years old.

— What impression did Andrei Rostotsky make on your mother when he met?

— My parents didn’t know Andrey as an artist, so there was no reverence. But they recognized that he was handsome and charming.

— Your first marriage quickly broke up. Who initiated it?

— Andrey began to be jealous of my work, I was filming a lot at that time. And I didn’t like his constant betrayals. In addition, a certain Maryana (a former neighbor of Andrei’s parents, who had been a fan of his talent since childhood) began to visit us too often and tried to make friends with me. One day my husband suggested we live separately. And after living separately, it was not possible to reunite again.

ARTISTIC JEALOUSY

— Was your second husband also an actor?

— After my divorce from Andrei Rostotsky, I did not want an artist to become my next husband. I thought that he would be a journalist or a diplomat, but then I caught myself thinking that he would not understand the essence of the acting profession. She won’t understand that sometimes, according to the director’s plan, I will need to kiss in the frame. Therefore, I decided that it should only be an actor, so we would understand each other better. So my second husband became the artist Valery Storozhik. But alas, male actors and actress wives are jealous too!

— Once you played the role of a young lady who steals her friend’s husband. Have you experienced something similar yourself?

— For me, taking away my friend’s husband is unacceptable! But for a woman who is close to your family, it is quite easy to take away your spouse, since she knows many intimate secrets. My first mother-in-law kept saying: “No girlfriends!” Don't share it with your girlfriend, but share it with your pillow. A friend is the first enemy." At first she gives advice on how to save the family, even sympathizes, and then it turns out that all the recommendations are not in your favor, but in her favor. And when this meanness is revealed, it’s too late: the husband has left for someone else. This happened in my first marriage: my friend Maryana took my wife away. She treated me very kindly, and I shared many experiences with her. This was my biggest mistake! Now I know: I don’t need any girlfriends. Of course, I have friends, but I don’t let them into my personal life.

—Have you ever experienced a family idyll?

— In my marriage to Andrei Rostotsky, we constantly sorted things out: we were very young, and our love was broken by the everyday life and creative success of both, by the inability to be wise. In the second marriage, the family idyll lasted only a year - until the birth of the child. As soon as the baby appeared, the harmony disappeared.

Personal life

Marina Alexandrovna’s first husband was Andrei Rostotsky, the heir to the famous cinematic family. They met in 1979. It happened by accident. Marina stood at the entrance of the Gorky Film Studio and talked with the director’s assistant, who brought her the script for the film “One Day Twenty Years Later.” A short young man ran past. Marina Aleksandrovna recalls: “I looked at him and my heart skipped a beat. I had a premonition that this man would come into my life. The premonition flashed and disappeared. Having caught up with us, he said: “Hello, Marina!” (my friend’s name was also Marina). She introduced us. This was Andrei Rostotsky.”

Perhaps their acquaintance would have remained fleeting if not for that same assistant. Soon she called Marina and offered to take part in the crowd in the film “Squadron of Flying Hussars.” Of course, she didn’t really want to participate in the crowd, but Marina agreed, because Andrei was starring in the role of Denis Davydov.

Marina recalls: “We danced a waltz. My head was spinning with happiness. I fell in love. Just like in novels - at first sight. He was very handsome in a hussar suit, which suited him, and he danced easily and gracefully. And I felt good and easy with him in the whirlwind of the waltz. He looked at me with his blue eyes somehow mischievously and cheerfully, and I felt like I was disappearing. During the breaks between filming, although there were many of his stuntman friends nearby, he did not leave me a single step, telling funny movie stories...”

Soon Rostotsky proposed to Marina, and in 1980 they got married. But they did not succeed in family happiness: Marina and Andrei turned out to be not just different people, they were completely from different worlds. Once, he said: “The gentlemen loved to pour in the fresh blood of a serf girl in order to preserve the breed.” This, according to Marina, was her role.

Gradually, the spouses began to move away from each other, the relationship became increasingly cold. They lived together for only a year and a half.

After her divorce from Andrei Rostotsky, Marina married for the second time. Her chosen one was actor Valery Storozhik. The couple had two sons - Fedor and Ivan. But this marriage also broke up. Now she is warmed by the love of her sons.

Wife of two husbands, mother of two sons

The actress tried to arrange her personal life twice, but both of her marriages turned out to be short-lived. On the set of “Squadron of Flying Hussars” Marina Yakovleva met actor Andrei Rostotsky . He played the main role, and the actress was an extra. But it was her that Rostotsky chose from hundreds of others to dance the waltz at the ball according to the script. Friendships began between the actors, and in 1980 they became husband and wife.

Rostotsky and Yakovleva lived together in a joint marriage for only two years. Andrei’s relatives, whose roots have long-standing aristocratic traditions, did not accept a simple Siberian woman into their circle and did everything possible to ensure that the young family broke up. Many years later, the actress admitted that she could endure the machinations of Andrei’s relatives, but she could not forgive his betrayal.

After breaking up with Rostotsky, Yakovleva after some time married actor Valery Storozhik. Soon she gave birth to two sons - Fyodor and Ivan. But she didn’t live long in this marriage either. The husband was very jealous of his wife for her demand on the set, and started terrible quarrels. The watchman was annoyed by the fact that they talked about him only as the husband of the popular actress Yakovleva. Tired of sorting things out, Marina filed for divorce.

Since 1991, she independently raised her sons, who became successful people, but did not want to associate themselves with the world of art. The actress no longer burdened herself with official marriage, although information about her short-lived affairs repeatedly appeared in the yellow press.

In 2002, Marina Yakovleva was in a terrible accident and received many fractures and bruises. Having recovered her health, the actress is grateful to fate that she remained alive. She is no longer looking for husbands for herself, but she sincerely believes that her great love is yet to come.

Having raised two adult sons, Marina Yakovleva knows firsthand what everyday life is like. To the boys, she was both mom and dad. During the years of lack of money, I learned to somehow survive. The actress handles household chores herself, and in her free time from work she enjoys cutting and sewing, knitting, and embroidering. In the kitchen, she is good at pies and pastries, however, Marina Yakovleva loves to treat rather than feast on prepared sweets.
