Che(a)d Robert Krueger
(eng.
Chad Robert Kroeger
), born Chad Robert
Turton
(born November 15, 1974; Hannah,
Alberta
, Canada) is the main vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Nickelback[1]. In addition to his work with Nickelback, Kroeger has recorded songs for films and other artists.
Cooperation
In 2002, Chad Kroeger, along with Saliva vocalist Josie Scott, guitarist Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman and Our Lady Peace drummer Jeremy Teggert, recorded the "Hero" soundtrack for the successful film Spider-Man. Also in 2002, Kroeger wrote and performed "Why Don't You & I" for Santana's new album Shaman
.
However, when Arista decided to release the song as a single in the summer of 2003, Kruger's label, Roadrunner, refused to give permission, arguing that Kruger's presence on the single might dampen public interest in Nickelback's upcoming album,
The Long Road. scheduled for fall 2003. On Kruger's recommendation, Arista replaced him with Alex Band of The Calling. But a recording with Kruger’s voice can easily be found on the Internet or on Santana’s album even now[5][6][7].
In 2007, Chad Kroeger finished working with Santana for a second time, writing and recording guitar and vocals for him on a new song that appeared on the compilation album Ultimate Santana
.
The track was titled "Into the Night" and was released as a single on August 20, 2007. The Ultimate Santana
album itself was released in October.
In addition to working with Santana, Chad recorded with Travis Tritt on his album The Storm
, where Tritt performed a cover of Nickelback's "Should've Listened" from
The Long Road
.
Kruger also played guitar on the album You're Everything
by Bo Bice.
In 2009, Chad Kroeger, Eric Dill, Rune Westburg and Chris Daughtry recorded the debut single from the band's new album Daughtry[8]. The single, entitled "No Surprise", debuted on "American Idol" on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Kruger also helped write another song on the album, "Life After You". He and Brett James recorded the single "It's a Business Doing Pleasure with You" with Tim McGraw in 2009.
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger
Rock star Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger first announced their relationship in February 2012. Literally from the first seconds of their romance, the rock musician carried his chosen one in his arms. Avril Lavigne and Chad looked like two doves fluttering with happiness. According to the singer herself, the singer treated her very kindly, tenderly and constantly showed concern. On the one hand, it seemed that Kruger treated Lavigne like a child. But on the other hand, the musician was so romantic that their couple brought everyone into awe. Chad accompanied his beloved to almost all of her concerts, if he himself was not on tour at that time. They were constantly in sight and together all the time. Very soon, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger announced that they were planning to get engaged.
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger's wedding
The rock star wedding took place six months after the start of the relationship. The ceremony took place without publicity in one of the churches in France. Let us remember that this was Avril Lavigne’s second marriage. Previously, she was married to the vocalist of the group Sum 41 for four years. Chad got married for the first time. The wedding of Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger took place in a non-standard form. This is evidenced by Avril's chosen outfit. The singer wore a fluffy black tulle dress. She styled her hair loosely, adorning it with a silver wreath. A bouquet of black roses completed the look. Chad also wore black. The singer chose a classic tuxedo and silk shirt. Perhaps this approach of the stars to the wedding ceremony led to Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger breaking up in 2014.
Are Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger getting divorced?
For the first time, divorce from Chad Kroeger became the topic of one of Avril Lavigne’s blogs on Instgram. And although the singer claimed that she and Chad remained good friends and would always support each other in everything, there was no limit to the fans’ disappointment. Immediately large headlines appeared in the press with the alleged reason for the breakup of the stars' relationship. However, the musicians themselves did not really keep it a secret. At the very least, Avril Lavigne claims that she and Chad Kroeger broke up due to a lack of passion and intimacy. According to the singer, the musician treated her very tenderly from the very beginning and throughout the relationship. But at the same time, he absolutely did not suit her in bed.
Problems with law
On June 1, 2006, around 1:30 a.m., Kruger was stopped for speeding by mounted police (RCMP) in Surrey, British Columbia. The test showed that the alcohol level in the blood was almost twice as high. Krueger's lawyer tried to argue that the test results were not probative enough to allow the officer to conduct an unlawful search and seizure. As a result, the judge found that the search was indeed illegal. However, on March 4, 2008, the judge rejected the request to declare the test results inconclusive[9]. On April 1, 2008, Krueger was convicted of driving with an excessive blood alcohol concentration. On May 1, 2008, the court sentenced him to pay a fine of $600 and banned him from driving for a year[10].
In May 2009, Vancouver resident Noah Christian Morse filed a lawsuit in superior court against Kruger. Morse alleged that on May 4, 2007, Kruger attacked him after leaving the Roxy club on Granville Street in Vancouver around 3 a.m. Morse said the concussion left him with scars and headaches, among other problems.
By the way, Avril Lavigne married Chad Kroeger in a black dress
Now we can say with confidence that this was not her best decision. The singer announced this on her Instagram account. She also thanked her family, friends and fans for their support.
She first married in 2006 to Sum 41 vocalist Derick Whibley. In 2010, the couple divorced. Lavigne wrote that it is with a heavy heart that she announces her separation from her husband, but hopes that they will remain friends.
This marriage was the second for the Canadian performer. In a recent interview, the musician assured that nothing threatens his and Avril’s happiness. And if you are also married to a celebrity... Lavigne informed subscribers of her blog on Instagram about the changes in her marital status. Meanwhile, 2020 was not an easy year for Kruger. The musician underwent surgery on his vocal cords, causing Nickelback to cancel all of their concerts until the end of this year, including two performances in Russia planned for December.
Kruger proposed to Lavigne on August 8, 2012. About a year later, the couple got married in the south of France. For Lavigne, this was the second marriage; she was previously married to Sum 41 vocalist Deryck Whibley, this union lasted four years. For Kruger, marriage to Lavigne was the first. Singer Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger have decided to divorce just two years after their wedding.

Personal life
On August 8, 2012, Chad Kroeger proposed to Canadian rock singer Avril Lavigne, whom he has been dating since February 2012.[11] The couple's relationship began while writing a joint song for the singer's 5th studio album. Lavigne received a 14-carat diamond ring. On July 1, 2013, Chad and Avril were married.[12] This is Kruger's first marriage.
In June 2020, a message appeared online about Kruger’s health problems (a cyst on the vocal cords)[13]. Proper surgery was later performed and due to this and the necessary recovery time, all Nickelback concerts for the next 9 months were cancelled.

Excerpt characterizing Kruger, Chad
“I am writing to you in Russian, my good friend,” wrote Julie, “because I have hatred for all the French, as well as for their language, which I cannot hear spoken... We in Moscow are all delighted through enthusiasm for our beloved emperor. My poor husband endures labor and hunger in Jewish taverns; but the news I have makes me even more excited. You probably heard about the heroic feat of Raevsky, who hugged his two sons and said: “I will die with them, but we will not waver!” And indeed, although the enemy was twice as strong as us, we did not waver. We spend our time as best we can; but in war, as in war. Princess Alina and Sophie sit with me all day long, and we, unfortunate widows of living husbands, have wonderful conversations over lint; only you, my friend, are missing... etc. Mostly Princess Marya did not understand the full significance of this war because the old prince never talked about it, did not acknowledge it and laughed at Desalles at dinner when he talked about this war. The prince's tone was so calm and confident that Princess Marya, without reasoning, believed him. Throughout the month of July, the old prince was extremely active and even animated. He also laid out a new garden and a new building, a building for the courtyard workers. One thing that bothered Princess Marya was that he slept little and, having changed his habit of sleeping in the study, changed the place of his overnight stays every day. Either he ordered his camp bed to be set up in the gallery, then he remained on the sofa or in the Voltaire chair in the living room and dozed without undressing, while not m lle Bourienne, but the boy Petrusha read to him; then he spent the night in the dining room. On August 1, a second letter was received from Prince Andrei. In the first letter, received shortly after his departure, Prince Andrei humbly asked his father for forgiveness for what he had allowed himself to say to him, and asked him to return his favor to him. The old prince responded to this letter with an affectionate letter and after this letter he alienated the Frenchwoman from himself. Prince Andrei's second letter, written from near Vitebsk, after the French occupied it, consisted of a brief description of the entire campaign with a plan outlined in the letter, and thoughts on the further course of the campaign. In this letter, Prince Andrei presented his father with the inconvenience of his position close to the theater of war, on the very line of troop movement, and advised him to go to Moscow. At dinner that day, in response to the words of Desalles, who said that, as heard, the French had already entered Vitebsk, the old prince remembered the letter from Prince Andrei. “I received it from Prince Andrei today,” he said to Princess Marya, “didn’t you read it?” “No, mon pere, [father],” the princess answered fearfully. She could not read a letter that she had never even heard of. “He writes about this war,” said the prince with that familiar, contemptuous smile with which he always spoke about the real war. “It must be very interesting,” said Desalles. - The prince is able to know... - Ah, very interesting! - said Mlle Bourienne. “Go and bring it to me,” the old prince turned to Mlle Bourienne. – You know, on a small table under a paperweight. M lle Bourienne jumped up joyfully. “Oh no,” he shouted, frowning. - Come on, Mikhail Ivanovich. Mikhail Ivanovich got up and went into the office. But as soon as he left, the old prince, looking around restlessly, threw down his napkin and went off on his own. “They don’t know how to do anything, they’ll confuse everything.” While he walked, Princess Marya, Desalles, m lle Bourienne and even Nikolushka silently looked at each other. The old prince returned with a hasty step, accompanied by Mikhail Ivanovich, with a letter and a plan, which he, not allowing anyone to read during dinner, placed next to him. Going into the living room, he handed the letter to Princess Marya and, laying out the plan of the new building in front of him, which he fixed his eyes on, ordered her to read it aloud. After reading the letter, Princess Marya looked questioningly at her father. He looked at the plan, obviously lost in thought. - What do you think about this, prince? – Desalles allowed himself to ask a question. - I! I!.. - the prince said, as if awakening unpleasantly, without taking his eyes off the construction plan. - It is quite possible that the theater of war will come so close to us... - Ha ha ha! Theater of war! - said the prince. “I said and say that the theater of war is Poland, and the enemy will never penetrate further than the Neman. Desalles looked with surprise at the prince, who was talking about the Neman, when the enemy was already at the Dnieper; but Princess Marya, who had forgotten the geographical position of the Neman, thought that what her father said was true. - When the snow melts, they will drown in the swamps of Poland. “They just can’t see,” said the prince, apparently thinking about the campaign of 1807, which seemed so recent. “Bennigsen should have entered Prussia earlier, things would have taken a different turn...” “But, prince,” said Desalles timidly, “the letter talks about Vitebsk...” “Ah, in the letter, yes...” the prince said dissatisfied, “yes... yes...” “His face suddenly took on a gloomy expression. He paused. - Yes, he writes, the French are defeated, which river is this? Desalles lowered his eyes. “The prince doesn’t write anything about this,” he said quietly. - Doesn’t he write? Well, I didn’t make it up myself. - Everyone was silent for a long time. “Yes... yes... Well, Mikhaila Ivanovich,” he suddenly said, raising his head and pointing to the construction plan, “tell me how you want to redo it... Mikhail Ivanovich approached the plan, and the prince, having talked with him about the plan for the new building, angrily Having looked at Princess Marya and Desalles, he went to his room. Princess Marya saw Desalles' embarrassed and surprised gaze fixed on her father, noticed his silence and was amazed that the father had forgotten his son's letter on the table in the living room; but she was afraid not only to speak and ask Desalles about the reason for his embarrassment and silence, but she was afraid to even think about it. In the evening, Mikhail Ivanovich, sent from the prince, came to Princess Marya for a letter from Prince Andrei, which was forgotten in the living room. Princess Marya submitted the letter. Although it was unpleasant for her, she allowed herself to ask Mikhail Ivanovich what her father was doing. “They’re all busy,” said Mikhail Ivanovich with a respectfully mocking smile that made Princess Marya turn pale. – They are very worried about the new building. “We read a little, and now,” said Mikhail Ivanovich, lowering his voice, “the bureau must have started working on the will.” (Recently, one of the prince’s favorite pastimes was working on the papers that were supposed to remain after his death and which he called a will.) - And Alpatych is sent to Smolensk? - asked Princess Marya. - Why, he’s been waiting for a long time. When Mikhail Ivanovich returned with the letter to the office, the prince, wearing glasses, with a lampshade over his eyes and a candle, was sitting at the open bureau, with papers in his far-off hand, and in a somewhat solemn pose was reading his papers (remarks, as he called them), which were to be delivered to the sovereign after his death. When Mikhail Ivanovich entered, there were tears in his eyes, memories of the time when he wrote what he was now reading. He took the letter from Mikhail Ivanovich’s hands, put it in his pocket, put away the papers and called Alpatych, who had been waiting for a long time.
