Biography

Olga Kuzmina was born and raised in the Russian capital. From an early age, the girl studied acrobatics and choreography. At the age of 11, Olya was accepted into the folk dance school-studio of Igor Moiseev, and a year later into the “School Years” ensemble. “We had a school with a creative twist: everyone danced or sang. I did acrobatics and dancing. The teachers were sympathetic to this, so they demanded little. Sometimes I was so tired that my mother read the books out loud from the program. Now I understand that thanks to physical activity, I developed character, willpower, self-organization and responsibility,” explains Kuzmina. From her youth, the girl did not face the question of choosing a future profession. After her first successful experience of filming in the TV magazine “Yeralash”, she wanted to be an actress. However, several attempts to enter theater universities ended unsuccessfully. Olga studied at the State Academy of Slavic Culture, correspondence department of the Faculty of Cultural Studies. Later she transferred to the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS). The training took place in the workshop of Sergei Prokhanov. “Once the actor and director Sergei Prokhanov was recruiting actors for his film. Boris Grachevsky decided to help him and sent a bunch of guys, including me. I was approved for the role, and after that Prokhanov suggested: “Come to my course, you have potential.” I was already studying at another university and had no intention of transferring, but they persuaded me. That’s how I ended up at GITIS,” recalls the actress.

Olga Kuzmina’s husband, Alexey, whose last name is stubbornly not disclosed, has nothing to do with the world of theater and films.
He works as a full-time psychologist in a special police department, but never talks about his work at home. Alexey and Olga met a long time ago, when the future actress barely graduated from school and became a correspondence student at ASK. The girl says that he became her first boyfriend and only love.

In 2006, Kuzmina played the role of Maya in one of the episodes of the sitcom “Happy Together”. Then she played small roles in “Lawyer-5”, in “The Adventures of Notary Neglintsev”, in “Soldiers”, in “Univer”. I began to act often, albeit in small roles, but in this way I gained experience and became familiar with filmmaking,” says the actress. "Siberia. Mon amyr"

Olga Kuzmina starred in the author’s film by Vyacheslav Ross “Siberia. Monamour", which was awarded a number of prestigious awards. Her heroine is Vera, the daughter of Uncle Yura. Sometimes I think: is it my life that changes the plot of the series or vice versa? I became pregnant, and they decided to add this fact to the script. Many of the situations that my heroine finds herself in with her husband are so typical for family relationships that I just have to not repeat the mistakes of this couple. I am very grateful to fate for such a gift: an excellent role in a very successful project with wonderful partners,” admits Kuzmina. The artist speaks very respectfully of working with her colleague Dmitry Nagiyev: “If he saw that the work was not moving, he could make a harsh joke. But not in order to humiliate anyone, but so that no one relaxes. On the day when Nagiyev arrived at the site, it was necessary to film the maximum number of scenes with him. He had to film from morning to night, and there was no time to waste time. But working with Dmitry Vladimirovich is easy and interesting. Personal life

The artist is married. Her husband Alexey works as a senior psychologist in the riot police. They got married in 2010 and celebrated on the island of Bali. “We studied together at the Institute of Slavic Culture. I was 17, he was 20. He studied to become a psychologist, I studied to become a cultural scientist. My husband told me how for a long time he was afraid to approach me, because I was always and everywhere with my friend. Olga Kuzmina’s son, Gordey Kuzmin, was born in 2013; his father was the actress’s husband, Alexey. The guy was present at the birth, as the labor process lasted eighteen hours. Olya said that she had a hard time with toxicosis during the filming of the TV series “Kitchen,” but the birth of her first child was incredibly difficult for her.

“You won’t understand it yourself. Someone from the outside, not close, should notice. Sometimes the stars align in such a way that even if you resist, they will bring you back to it. Talent, if there is one, will not be lost. We, actors, understand that only fifty percent of success depends on us: whether you are lucky or not, whether the road leads to something or whether you stay in place. Everything has its time! But water does not flow under a lying stone either. You still have to try, take a step, work on yourself. At one time, I constantly went to Mosfilm as if it were my home: I handed out photographs, looked for acting agencies. And it bore fruit! I just realized at some point: since I became an artist, I need to go everywhere and remind myself of myself.”

“Fans are different. Someone will come up and impudently say: “Let’s take a picture, or something!”, “Stand up normally!”, “Can’t you even take off your glasses?”, “Make your face simpler.” You feel like a giraffe in a zoo. Fortunately, there are others - well-mannered and pleasant people who will quietly approach and respectfully say a few kind words. “Hang out with friends. I first heard about this on the set of “Kitchen,” and tried it when my friend and I decided to combine our birthdays into one holiday. We were amazed! I recommend to everyone. Such a fun time! For example, you need to get out of a room in an hour, and to do this you need to solve a bunch of different riddles. Here natural instincts come into play: leadership qualities that no one had noticed before suddenly appear in a loved one. This is cool".
