Actress Olga Budina - biography, personal life, filmography and interesting facts

BIOGRAPHY

Olga Budina was born in Moscow, but spent her childhood and school years in the city of Odintsovo, Moscow region. Her family was far from the world of theater and cinema. Father Alexander Sergeevich worked as an electrician, mother Lidia Ignatievna worked as an accountant.

Olga herself also did not dream of becoming an actress. She had many interests: philosophy, ethnography, philology... She graduated from the School of Young Philologists at Moscow State University, received the qualification “Category 3 Guide”, and was interested in psychoanalysis. And my main passion from a very early age was and remains music. Little Olya, a 4th grade student, enrolled herself in a music school and diligently studied playing the accordion, sang in the choir and even composed music.

After ninth grade, Olga Budina tried to enter the Gnessin State Music College, but was unsuccessful. She returned to school and became interested in amateur theater, putting on several performances with her friends.

As a child, the future actress was a rebel - she was friends with boys, mostly lagging behind, boycotted school uniforms and was not good at school. But the teachers forgave her a lot for her active social work and organizing school holidays.

After school, Olga did not study anywhere for a whole year, trying to understand what she wanted in life. A painful search for herself again almost brought her to Gnesinka, but at the last moment, “out of curiosity,” she submitted documents to the Shchukin School - and was accepted!

“Now it’s impossible for me to imagine myself without my favorite thing: my profession, my roles - screen and stage “aunties”, whom I adore and call them “aunties” lovingly. Happy beauties, cruel beauties, suffering beauties, beloved beauties. It's scary to think that I could be left without them. But I had no intention of becoming an actress! I didn’t even dream of it, although my classmates kept telling me about it,” recalls Olga Budina on the pages of the magazine “Caravan of Stories.”

Olga Budina's ex-husband - Alexander Naumov

Olga Budina's ex-husband, Alexander Naumov, was much older than his chosen one. Olga's husband was far from art; he had his own business. Therefore, due to the difference in age or work, it was sometimes difficult for the wife to combine two roles: a loving and caring wife and mother, and a theater and film actress. Only Budina and her former lover know what really caused the divorce.

As they wrote in the press, the TV presenter had a hard time with the separation, but she was rescued by her beloved son and her equally beloved job, which Olga plunged headlong into.

In general, Olga Alexandrovna does not really like questions about her personal life, and simply ignores questions about fans without answering them.

MOVIE

In 1996, as a fourth-year student, Olga Budina acted in films for the first time. She played Grand Duchess Anastasia in Gleb Panfilov’s film “The Romanovs. Crowned family." The filming made a strong impression on her; Olga remembers them with tenderness: “After Panfilov, it’s hard to act with other directors. And the relationship on the set was almost family-like and warm. We are four young pretty actresses, all the men of the film crew constantly showed us attention, looked after us, took us to restaurants, and paid us compliments. On days off we liked to just walk around Prague together or have a get-together in someone’s room. There were so many beautiful things back then!”

However, the film was released only four years later, and Olga Budina, meanwhile, starred in small roles in the films “Shall We Send a Messenger”, “D.D.D. File of Detective Dubrovsky” and in the youth series “Simple Truths”.

Then there was filming in the leading role in Alexei Uchitel’s film “The Diary of His Wife.” This work was very difficult for Olga; at the end of filming, she even fell ill and became depressed. The profession saved me. The actress captured a new role in A. Mitta’s television series “Border. Taiga novel." It is this picture that will subsequently glorify Olga Budina throughout the country.

For several years, Olga Budina has been actively filming. She was invited to the most interesting projects, including “The Idiot” by Vladimir Bortko and “The Moscow Saga” by Dmitry Barshchevsky. Olga has a reputation as one of the best actresses of our time. In 2003, she became the youngest member of the jury of the XXV Moscow International Film Festival in history.

At this moment, at the peak of her career, Olga Budina got married and... decided to leave the profession. She left the capital, gave birth to a son, Naum, and was going to devote herself entirely to her family. She subsequently admitted in an interview that she was very tired and deliberately cut off contact with the outside world. There were no problems with self-realization - the actress directed all her creative energy to caring for loved ones. “It was great for me. Finally, I began to live, I returned to myself,” she said in the “Life Line” program of the “Culture” TV channel. But in 2005, Budina’s marriage broke up, and she returned to the cinema.

The return was triumphant - Olga played Nadezhda Alliluyeva in the film “Stalin’s Wife”.

“At 31, Nadezhda Alliluyeva was either killed or committed suicide. We'll never know. She had two children. She suffered from terrible migraines all her life. Now we won’t even find medical evidence that is accurate about what really happened to her. But in her life she has not done - well, at least no one talks about it, even those who speak not very well of her - that she has committed any base act. And at that time it was almost impossible. And this gives me some reason to say that she was almost the only decent person in Stalin’s circle. And a man who chose to leave rather than stay. And, of course, for me she is a very strong person. Incredibly strong. And I don’t know who is stronger – he or she,” Olga told the “Cinemania” program about her character.

Then there were many roles in popular TV series - “Mother’s Heart”, “The Personal Life of Doctor Selivanova”, “Zemsky Doctor”.

In addition, Olga Budina was the co-host of the “About the Most Important” program on the Rossiya 1 TV channel for several years and became the face of the cosmetics company AVON.

PERSONAL LIFE

Olga Budina is one of those artists who prefers to keep her personal life secret. In 2003, she married businessman Alexander Naumov, but already in 2005 the marriage broke up. Olga has a son, Naum, to whom she tries to devote as much time as possible, despite the busy filming schedule.

The boy studies a lot, and also studied flute at a music school for two years. True, he didn’t like it, so Olga met the child halfway and allowed him to stop classes.

Mother and son travel a lot together. They have already visited France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Vietnam and even Australia.
