I realized that not everything is as scary as I made it out to be.
How did you meet each other's parents?
Dmitry: First I introduced Sasha to my parents. And they accepted her very well and loved her. I was even surprised that they were loyal to the fact that Sasha already had a child, because my father had very strict rules. And when I realized that Sasha was the girl I had been looking for all my life, we began to live with my parents. And then we moved to our house near Kiev, now we are furnishing it, and our parents come to visit us.
How did Dima propose?
Alexandra: Last October we went to Odessa for the weekend. We checked into the hotel, swam in the pool with dolphins, and when we went up to our room, a festive dinner was waiting for us. I found a wedding ring in one of the oysters. (Smiles.) It was a surprise for me. Oh, Dima can be called a romantic!
Alexandra: Due to the fact that Dima is an athlete, a champion, he has a difficult character. But he tries to be romantic. Although for me it is much more important that he loves me and Timofey, takes care of us. I’m trying to make his life brighter, I want him to feel like a living person, and not an amphibious person. (Smiles.) Dima trains all day long, he has no vacations or days off. Even when we flew to Thailand for the New Year after the wedding, Dima not only rested, but also trained.
So you got married in winter?
Dmitry: Yes, and they began to plan for a child. But recently, in September, we organized a wedding party for friends to finally officially celebrate this event.
Alexandra: We got married on December 30, and on the 31st we flew to Thailand. We were on the island of Phuket. It was the most romantic trip of my life!
Dmitry: I rented a moped, and we traveled all over the island, went on various excursions, the bright colors of Thailand brightened up our honeymoon!
