Biography

Elena Popova was born in Leningrad on April 17, 1956. My own father died at a young age. Mother worked in the Musical Comedy Theater as a corps de ballet actress. Later she became the wife of Elena's godfather, who treated the girl like his own daughter. It was he who instilled in the fidget an enthusiastic and reverent attitude towards art.

Elena really wanted to be a ballerina, but her mother was against such a difficult path for her daughter. After all, she was well aware of all the difficulties of ballet. So the mother told the girl that if she gave up her dream, she would give her a puppy. She also promised to buy a ballpoint pen (at that time such a simple thing was an outlandish rarity).
