Family

Alsou's biography begins in Soviet times. The singer’s homeland is the city of Bugulma, Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Alsou was born on June 27, 1983. When the girl was very young, the family moved to the Tyumen region, where many oil and gas production enterprises are located. My father was invited to work there - to develop new oil fields. He went to this Siberian city with his wife and two children. At that time, Alsou only had an older brother, Marat. The age difference between them is six years. Much later, in 1996, another child was born into the family, the singer’s younger brother, Renard.

The family in which Alsou grew up is very friendly.

Biography of Alsou: family and childhood

Born in 1983 (June 27) in one of the large cities of the Republic of Tatarstan - Bugulma. Her father, Ralif Safin, needs no special introduction. After all, he is a successful businessman and politician. At one time he was vice-president of the oil company. Alsou’s mother, Razia Iskhakovna, received a higher education with a degree in architecture. Our heroine has three brothers - Ruslan (b. 1973), Marat (b. 1977) and Renard (b. 1996).

Alsou's nationality still causes a lot of heated debate. Her father is Bashkir, and her mother is Tatar. In fact, she is the owner of mixed blood. But in the singer’s birth certificate, in the “nationality” column it is indicated as Tatar.

Previously, Alsou spent her childhood (up to 9 years old) in the city of Kogalym, in the Tyumen region. Moving to Siberia was a necessary measure. Our heroine’s father was just starting to get involved in the oil business. And there is no better place to “start” than the Tyumen region. Ralif Safin could not be separated from his family for a long time, so he took his wife and children with him.

Parents

Dad is Bashkir, and mother is of Tatar nationality. Alsou's father, Ralif Rafilovich Safin, is one of the richest people in Russia. He is a successful entrepreneur and politician, from 2002 to 2014 he was a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from the Altai Republic, and was vice-president of the oil company.

Razia Iskhakovna, being an architect by training, devoted her life to raising children. She is also involved in housekeeping and strengthening the family.

Alsou

Alsou (Abramova (maiden name - Safina) Alsou Ralifovna) was born on June 27, 1983 in the city of Bugulma (Republic of Tatarstan). She is Tatar by nationality and Muslim by faith. Alsou's father, Ralif Rafilovich Safin, is a senator from the Altai Republic in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, and his mother, Razia Iskhakovna, is an architect by profession. Husband: Yan Abramov, businessman. Alsou has two brothers - the elder Marat (but not the tennis player Marat Safin) and the younger Renard. Until the age of 9, Alsou lived with her parents and older brother in the North, in the city of Kogalym (Tyumen region). Living conditions were harsh - in winter the air temperature dropped to minus 45C, and in summer it rose to plus 40C. “There wasn’t even fruit there,” Alsou recalls. “We sold old apples in wax (in this form they could be stored for a very long time) and potatoes with sprouted roots. In kindergarten, on New Year’s Eve we were given paper bags with oranges and chocolates, which I ate little by little, stretching out the pleasure for several months.” At the age of 5, Alsou begged her parents to buy her a piano, on the condition that she learn to play it. Alsou kept her promise and from the age of five she went alone to a music school across the city. In 1992, Alsou left for Moscow, where she continued her studies at general education and music schools. In 1993, Alsou went to New York, USA, where she lived and studied for six months, then to Copenhagen, Denmark, where she spent another year and a half of her life. In the spring of 1995, Alsou moved to London, UK, and entered MPW College, where the main subjects were mathematics, business and drawing. At first it was difficult for the girl, she did not know the language well and missed her family very much. But pretty quickly Alsou got the hang of it and was able to start communicating in English. In 1997, Alsou returned to Moscow, but not for long. After studying at a Moscow school for one year, she again left for London. Alsou's musical career began in 1998, when the singer was only 15 years old. Her first single, “Winter Dream,” turned out to be very successful and is still the singer’s calling card. Alsou's first music collection, entitled "Alsu", went on sale on September 15, 1999. In the first 6 months, over 700 thousand copies of this album were sold. In support of the album, Alsou gave a number of solo performances in Russian cities in 1999 and 2000. In May 2000, Alsou represented Russia at the Eurovision music competition, where she took second place, performing the song “Solo” in English. Until Dima Bilan's victory in 2008, Alsou's second place was Russia's highest achievement in this competition. In August 2000, Alsou began recording the English-language album “Alsou” at the Universal Music Corporation studio. The disc was recorded in London and Moscow. The album itself was released on July 10, 2001 and sold more than 2 million copies. In addition to Russia, the disc was released in Germany, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Malaysia and partly in the UK. In October 2001, another album entitled “I Dreamed of Autumn” was released, which had a circulation of 500 thousand copies. In 2002, Alsou worked on the solo album “19”, which was released on February 14, 2003 in the Russian Federation, and a little later in other CIS countries. The album included such songs as “Yesterday”, “Everything is Equal”, “First Time” and others. Over 800,000 copies of the album “19” were sold in Russia. In support of the album, Alsou gave a number of successful solo performances in Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia, and Latvia. The singer also visited Israel, where she gave performances in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in April 2004. In the summer of 2004, Alsou began work on her second English-language album. In the fall of the same year, the single “Always on my mind” was released. The disc's release in the UK, planned for March 2005, did not take place. One of the reasons for this was that most of the songs ended up on the Internet, after which the Universal studio refused to release the album.

On March 18, 2006, a significant event occurred in Alsou’s life - she married her beloved man, businessman Yan Abramov. A grandiose wedding ceremony took place at the Rossiya State Central Concert Hall. Preparations for the celebration lasted about 6 months. Alsou was more concerned with creative issues and design solutions, and Ian took on all the other chores. More than 600 guests invited to the wedding were able to appreciate their efforts. On this day, “Russia” was impossible to recognize - the foyer of the hall was draped in lilac fabric, portraits of Alsou hung on one side, portraits of Yan on the other - from infancy to the present day, everything was decorated with fresh flowers. In the hall itself there was a huge lotus flower, which housed a table for a young couple. For the first day of the wedding celebration, Alsou prepared 2 wedding dresses, which were sewn in the atelier of Alsou’s brother’s wife, Yulia Safina, according to Alsou’s own sketches. The first to congratulate the newlyweds was the mayor of Moscow, Yuri Mikhailovich Luzhkov. The special invited guests of the evening were world-famous jazz musicians George Benson and AlJerreau. The guests presented a huge number of gifts to the newlyweds, but Alsou and Yan did not leave their guests without a gift. Especially for this day, an exclusive edition of the disc with the song “Miracles” was released, the words and music for which were written by the newlyweds themselves. On March 19, the wedding “sang and danced” in the Safisa celebration hall. Contrary to all the rumors, after getting married, Alsou did not give up her career. She continued to actively work in the studio, where she recorded new songs for a Russian-language album. And on May 25 and 26, on the streets of “Luxury Village” (Barvikha), under the direction of director Irina Mironova, the shooting of Alsou’s video for one of the new songs - “The Most Important Thing”, written by Yuri Usachev and Alexey Romanof took place. The main difference between this video and all the others was that Alsou did not star in it alone - at that time Alsou was carrying her future daughter under her heart. In July, Alsou moved to Los Angeles. Alsou and Jan decided that it would be much more comfortable for their future daughter to live the first months of her life in a warm and mild climate, in a city where there is always a lot of sun.

On September 7, 2006, a small miracle was born at the Cedar Sinai clinic in Los Angeles - the daughter of Alsou and Yana. The young parents decided to give the girl an unusual name - Safina, which was happily accepted by everyone, but especially by Alsou's parents, because it is almost consonant with Alsou's maiden name. In a very short time, Alsou got into shape and already in December plunged the entire Russian public into a state of pleasant shock - having arrived in Moscow for 1 week to take part in the recording of New Year's programs and work in the studio, Alsou amazed everyone with her appearance - she became even more beautiful, there was no question of extra pounds. Many tried to find out the secret of her beauty, to which Alsou answered - her husband’s love and little Safina. At the end of May 2007, before the final move from Los Angeles to Moscow, Alsou shot a video for the song “And My Love” (dir.: Alan Calzatti). Filming lasted almost a week due to the constant change of locations - Also and the film crew had to travel through Death Valley, the endless expanses of the desert in Nevada, and visit the Pacific Ocean. On one of the shooting days, Alsou had to master the basics of scuba diving and the technique of singing underwater. On June 20, Alsou joined the United Russia party, where she will deal with the problems of youth, young families, motherhood and childhood. On March 24, 2008, the presentation of Alsou’s long-awaited new Russian-language album, “The Most Important Thing,” took place in Moscow. Childhood

Alsou's biography continues in the city of Kogalym. The singer spent her early childhood here. At first, her parents, then young professionals, had to live with their children in a construction car, and then the family received a three-room apartment.

Alsou Safina's biography continues in a city equated to the regions of the Far North. Harsh winter is one of the singer’s main childhood memories. At home we had to wear warm clothes, and the walls inside the apartment were sometimes covered with frost, which the children scraped off and made small snowballs from. It was minus 45 outside.

The harsh climate and strict upbringing in the family could not but affect the development of the personality of the future singer.

Of the products that were brought to Kogalym, I remember well tangerines, caramel pillows, formerly called “Dunka’s joy”, and candies, which were then a luxury - “Bear in the North”.

However, many people who grew up during Soviet times can remember these names and the joy associated with them. This all demonstrates the ordinary life of Alsou, a girl who later became famous. She also jumped rope and elastic band with her friends and went to their grandmothers in the summer, where the children were fed village food and given fresh milk.

First encounter with the piano

It will be difficult for anyone who is not familiar with Alsou’s biography to understand the depth of her inner world. Each song is imbued with a special meaning.

For example, a piano received as a gift from your father is a whole story and the main childhood memory. A friend taught Alsou several notes and showed her how to play a “dog waltz.” The Safins did not have a piano in their house. Buying it would be a great luxury, so the father set a condition for his daughter - to first enter a music school and prove that her intentions are serious. Alsou grew up as a modest, but determined and persistent girl. She entered a music school and ran to classes on the other side of the city. The distance was considerable, and in frosty winters, when it was below forty outside, little Alsou had to move quickly so as not to freeze her face. First, her mother took her to school, then her older brother Marat accompanied her. And then the purposeful Alsou independently got to the music school and continued to dream of a piano.

Ralif Rafilovich became convinced that his daughter was truly passionate about music and persistent in achieving her goals.

At the first opportunity, he purchased a Czech piano for his favorite. It was the happiest day in the life of the future celebrity! With great excitement Alsou awaited the arrival of this gift, expensive in every sense. She was five years old, and the piano given by her dad symbolically predetermined the girl’s fate.

Education

At the age of nine, Alsou moved to Moscow. Here the talented daughter of Ralif and Razia continued her studies.

The future singer was expected to travel abroad. A year later, Alsou’s biography continued in the USA. Here she studied for six months, and for the next six months she was lucky enough to live and study in Denmark, in the city of Copenhagen. Then Alsou moved to the UK and in 1995 entered the British MPW College. Teaching at this educational institution was carried out exclusively in English, which allowed the singer to master it perfectly. In college, at the age of twelve to fifteen, Alsou studied subjects focused on mathematics, fine arts and business fundamentals.

Having experienced nostalgia for her homeland and coping with the difficulties of adaptation among her English-speaking classmates, Alsou received an excellent foundation in English, which later came in handy, especially during her performance at Eurovision in 2000.

In 1993, the girl was lucky enough to vacation in a camp in Switzerland. There she appeared on stage for the first time and sang the song I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Her performance made a stunning impression on the audience, but Alsou was very shy since childhood and at that time did not even dream of becoming a singer.

The second time she had a chance to sing the same song was during the wedding of her older brother. This time they paid serious attention to the girl, noticing her talent. Soon after this, the father decided to show his daughter to the famous producer Valery Belotserkovsky. Next, Alsou was expected to meet the authors who wrote several songs for the singer, which later became hits.

Childhood and youth

In the hot summer of 1983, a future star was born in Tatarstan. At the time of the girl’s birth, Ralif and Razia Safin were raising their son Marat. Later, the singer's younger brother Renard was born. The father of the family used to be a vice president, the mother was an architect.

Music came into the girl's life when she was 5 years old. Alsou really asked her parents to buy a piano for her, she even promised her mom and dad that she would master the instrument professionally. Soon the future star began to attend classes at a music school, which was located on the other side of the city.

In the harsh northern climate, the girl lived until she was 9 years old. In her interviews, she repeatedly recalled with a smile New Year's gifts, which all local children tried not to eat right away, because fruit was in short supply in this region.

In 1992, the girl left for the Russian capital. There she studied at school and studied musical literacy. A year later, the parents sent their daughter to New York, where she lived for six months. Alsou spent the next 6 months in Copenhagen.

After 3 years, the girl became a student at MPV College, which is located in the UK. Education there was conducted exclusively in English, with an emphasis on mathematics, business fundamentals and fine arts. After moving to London, Alsou began to miss her family and home very much, but soon settled into a group of peers. This experience helped her learn the language perfectly.

After completing her studies, the girl returned to Russia and soon became a student at GITIS. There she studied acting on an individual basis.

Success at Eurovision 2000

In 2000, Alsou’s biography was supplemented by a significant event - participation in the Eurovision singing competition.

Previously, many Russian pop stars tried to conquer this Olympus, but no one could “jump” higher than ninth place. Alsou managed to surprise everyone and took second place, performing the song Solo in English. Among other things, Alsu Safina was the youngest participant in the entire history of Eurovision at that time. The young talent was 16 years old.

Personal life in Alsou’s biography is as successful as her career! In 2006, the singer happily married businessman Yan Abramov, whom they met in 2005, immediately liked each other and never parted.

They were introduced by Alsou's friend, Ariana. Even before meeting the famous singer, Yang knew everything about her work and demonstrated it on their first date.
