“Tight Bow” - Tatyana Lavrova - actress of Russian cinema

Biography

Tatiana Lavrova

Tatyana Evgenievna Lavrova (real name Andrikanis) was born on the first summer month in 1938 in Moscow. Her fate was predetermined from the cradle: her parents were both involved in cinema. In addition, her ancestors were famous people. So, her grandmother is the sister of the revolutionary Nikolai Shmit.

While still a child, the future actress survived the Great Patriotic War. Her father was a cameraman at the front, so he went through all the hardships personally. But he returned from there alive.

At the age of 12, Tatyana Evgenievna received a mental wound from which she was never able to recover: her parents decided to divorce. Over time, her mother remarried, but it was not possible to create a happy family. The stepfather did not become a second father for the girl.

At the age of 17, Lavrova became independent. She knew from childhood that she would be an actress, so after finishing school she decided to enter the School at the Moscow Art Theater Studio. There was a lot of competition for admission, but her natural talent and desire to fulfill her dream helped her - Tatyana entered. It was here that she first changed her last name Andrikanis to Lavrova. This decision was due to the fact that she was mistaken for a foreigner. She chose her new surname by chance: from the entire list of applicants, she chose the one that she liked best - Lavrova.

Training continued until 1959. Tatyana Evgenievna’s talent was immediately noticed, so there were offers for episodic roles. After some time, she was offered to serve at Sovremennik and she agreed. She worked there until 1978, almost stood at its origins, and then returned to the Moscow Art Theater.

Why Tatyana Lavrova remained an actress of one role

11 years ago, on May 16, 2007, the Soviet actress, People's Artist of the RSFSR Tatyana Lavrova passed away. Her departure went unnoticed by most viewers - recently she almost did not act in films or appear on the theater stage.

She called herself an “underplayed actress” - her only film triumph was her role in the film “Nine Days of One Year.” In her personal life, too, everything was not easy: fate also gave her happy chances - with Evgeny Urbansky, Oleg Dahl, Andrei Voznesensky - and immediately took them away.

One of the most beautiful Soviet actresses Her future path was predetermined from birth: Tatyana was born into the family of famous cameramen Evgeny Andrikanis and Galina Pyshkova. Since childhood, she dreamed of theater and cinema, so after graduating from school she applied to all theater universities in Moscow. She was accepted into the studio school at the Moscow Art Theater and was advised to take a pseudonym instead of the surname Andrikanis: “A Russian actress should have a Russian surname.” Tatyana asked her classmates to write several options on a piece of paper and randomly pointed to one of them. So she became Lavrova.

Tatyana Lavrova in the film *Nine Days of One Year*, 1961 The aspiring actress was lucky enough to get the role of Nina Zarechnaya in “The Seagull,” and since then her theater career has taken off. In 1959, she made her film debut in the film “The Song of Koltsov”, and 2 years later she played one of her most iconic roles, which became her calling card - it was the main role in the film “Nine Days of One Year”. Her partners on the set were Innokenty Smoktunovsky and Alexey Batalov. In such a company, the girl felt insecure and did not understand why director Mikhail Romm chose her, young and inexperienced. To her question, he replied: “Because you, like a dog, smell everything. You don’t always understand, but you feel everything right.”

Still from the film *Nine Days of One Year*, 1961 The film won many prizes at international film festivals; according to a survey of readers of the Soviet Screen magazine, Tatyana Lavrova was recognized as the best actress of 1962; directors bombarded her with new offers. She refused many of them - after working with Romm, these roles seemed frivolous to her. She later admitted: “My creative life started very successfully. My entire youth was spent on a wild ride. But I can only appreciate that height now, after many years. And then I simply lived in glory and adoration. They loved me, recognized me on the streets, imitated me. It was natural for me. I didn’t lift a finger to get at least one of the roles that I played then.”

One of the most beautiful Soviet actresses, Lavrova soon moved from the Moscow Art Theater to Sovremennik, where she played her best roles in the plays “Two on a Swing,” “Don’t Part With Your Loved Ones,” “The Cherry Orchard,” “The Seagull” and “At the Bottom.” Despite her great success on the theater stage, the actress was never fully satisfied with herself and believed that her best role was still ahead: “There are no limits in the acting profession, and there are no limits in comprehending this profession. Never in all my years of work have I had such a feeling that I had come to this limit, to the most genuine truth. I have never had such a feeling that here it is, a blue bird. We are always searching, waiting for the blue bird.”

Tatyana Lavrova at the “Waiting for the Blue Bird” theater she remained in cinema all her life, not suspecting that one of her first films would remain an unsurpassed creative pinnacle for her. In the theater, roles were offered less and less, and with the cinema, as she put it, her “story didn’t really work out.” She called herself an "under-acted actress." She starred in the films “All the King's Men”, “The Escape of Mr. McKinley”, “Biography Fact”, “Flight Delayed”, “Midlife Crisis”, “Cinema About Cinema”, but none of these works repeated her success in the film "Nine Days of One Year".

In her personal life, the actress was also plagued by failures: her first husband was the famous actor Evgeniy Urbansky, but their life together did not last long. Having learned about her husband's betrayal, Tatyana left, and in 1965 Urbansky died while performing a complex stunt on the set. In the same year, Lavrova married Oleg Dal, but they lived together for only six months - the actor drank heavily, and both spouses were distinguished by difficult and quarrelsome characters. Many of her friends and colleagues believed that it was because of this that she lost many roles.

People's Artist of the RSFSR Tatyana Lavrova Actress Lyudmila Ivanova said about her: “Lavrova was a great actress, with a difficult character, first of all, difficult for herself. She was absolutely natural, deep - not a drop of falsehood. Unfortunately, she didn't act much. In my opinion, the directors were afraid of her character, and she often refused - the roles offered seemed insignificant to her.” Vitaly Wulf wrote about her character: “It may indeed be difficult, but all the conflict in her nature is connected with the fact that Lavrova is a maximalist in art.” Her demands were indeed often excessive, but first of all, she demanded the impossible from herself.

Tatyana Lavrova and Andrei Voznesensky Lavrova did not say anything about her third husband, she only said that he was not from an acting background. She also admitted that she had long-term affairs with a “famous poet” and a “famous director.” This poet was Andrei Voznesensky, who dedicated poems to the actress, but never decided to marry her - both of them had other families at that time. According to her, what she valued most in men was talent. When her admirer Boris Khimichev performed poorly in an acting exam, she rejected him. Writer Vasily Aksenov called the actress a dangerous, impulsive and unpredictable woman. She had many admirers, but in the end she was left alone.

Personal life

In my personal life, everything was not easy. she loved 4 different men at different times, but relationships with none of them worked out.

The actress's first husband was the famous actor Yevgeny Urbansky. at the time of their meeting he was married, but the passion was so strong that he left his wife for a new lover. They lived in a small room. But family life did not work out, since the successful actor was popular with the opposite sex, which he abused.

Lavrova-Andrikanis’s second husband was also actor Oleg Dal. but because of his addiction to strong alcoholic drinks, the couple separated.

The artist’s last official husband was football player Vladimir Mikhailov. From this union, a son, Vladimir, was born in 1967. but even here the relationship did not last long: Lavrova took the child and moved in with her mother. The reason for the discord was the jealousy of the spouse. Mikhailov made attempts to make the actress a housewife, was against cosmetics, and was constantly jealous. If after the next performance she was late, then he would start quarrels and scandals.

Those close to Lavrova claimed that she had an affair with Andrei Voznesensky, who was married. The couple carefully hid their relationship so as not to give rise to condemnation. The poet was unable to choose just one, so the relationship was terminated.

Two failed marriages

Young Tatyana fell in love with the brutal handsome man Evgeniy Urbansky without looking back. At that time, she was studying at the theater school, and considered herself the happiest person. Zhenya was married and raised a daughter, but he could not curb his passion.

Soon he left the family and became the common-law husband of the future actress. At first, the couple in love wandered around the apartments, even lived with Tanya’s grandmother. But their happiness did not last long. Urbansky was constantly infatuated with someone and cheated on his wife.

After some time, Lavrova turned her gaze to Oleg Dahl, and felt a kindred spirit in him. They understood each other perfectly, but their destructive passion for alcohol led to quarrels. Dahl, in a state of intoxication, was simply unbearable. Tatyana started drinking with her husband. She told her friends: “I wanted him to have less left…”

Their marriage lasted only six months. The actress admired Dahl's talent and considered him a genius, but could not withstand his quarrelsome character. And then the poet Andrei Voznesensky appeared in her life. He was not free and had no intention of leaving his family.

After thorough examinations, a diagnosis of chronic bronchitis was made. In addition, there were suspicions of malignant formations in the intestines. Despite the fact that the specialists insisted on a more thorough examination, Lavrova refused it and asked to be transferred to another clinic. This news came as a surprise.

As a result of careful checks, it turned out that she had pneumonia. But she did not quit smoking and did not reduce the number of cigarettes. Her health improved a little, but on the night of 16 to 17, the actress died. Doctors identified the cause of death of Tatyana Lavrova as exhaustion of the entire body due to a long illness. but there is an opinion that the actress Tatyana Lavrova had a different cause of death - cancer.

Information about the artist’s death was unexpected for her son, with whom she spoke shortly before her death. He became depressed and couldn't even attend his mother's funeral. Lavrova’s friend took care of the entire organization of the memorial service. It was she and Oleg Tabakov who obtained permission to bury Tatyana Evgenievna at the Troyekurovskoye cemetery.

The actress's three marriages were unsuccessful. The first husband is Evgeny Urbansky, the second is Oleg Dal.
