The directors took as much as 20 episodes. And for the past week now, all of America (as confirmed by the ratings) has been watching this epic in the evenings on the A&E channel. Neither Bill nor his wife Hillary were invited to appear in the film, having announced the series in advance as an attempt to bring to the attention of all honest people the version of Monica Lewinsky. From episode to episode, her parents and several people from Clinton’s team also remember the experience.
It becomes clear that 20 years after the sexual dalliances in the Oval Office of the White House, Monica, no younger, has rethought everything. And if earlier she didn’t really demand any apology from Clinton, didn’t reproach herself and her friend for spreading the most juicy details to the whole world, now she realized: Clinton abused his power, and his friends turned out to be traitors. The creators of the series found previously unpublished audio and video recordings that they inserted into the film. Monica passionately criticizes her friend Linda Tripp, who turned her in, who not only recorded their telephone conversations on a voice recorder, but at the right moment transferred these recordings to the right place. Along the way, the viewer learns some informative details: it turns out that there were no actual sexual contacts in the Oval Office (everything took place in another office), and Monica was offered a quarter of a million dollars for a dress stained with presidential sperm.
A lawyer by training, Clinton, according to Monica, before putting the most valuable thing a man has into her mouth, asked her to sign a waiver to testify in case of a claim of sexual harassment. Viewers are now counting how many such documents Hillary Clinton had to sign during her entire life together with Bill... Other, frank details will appear in the following episodes.
WHO BENEFIT?
Who needed to rinse clothes that had not been washed for two decades? There is no consensus on this matter. Some people think that the aged Monica, who has never settled her life, decided to earn extra money. Clinton is already over 70, and if anything happens, the testimony of the participants in his wild sex life will be worthless. Others see it all as a conspiracy theory: reports of the start of filming appeared right after Hillary Clinton announced that she was leaving a chance to participate in the next presidential election.
Trump’s supporters saw in the “Clinton Case” a clear hint of possible troubles for their leader, who, like Bill, could be impeached, since it is already known that one of Trump’s intimate partners received a considerable sum for not disclosing the details of their relationship. And paying a victim or witness for silence is considered a criminal offense in America.
Monica herself has already announced from television screens and the pages of print media that she hopes for the end of the gossip, admitting that everything that happened was the work of two adults. “It’s time to stop talking about my past,” she pleads. “Filming the documentary series made me understand my behavior, which I regret and am ashamed of to this day. For the filming of the next season, Murphy again invited Jeffrey Toobin to collaborate - this time the series will be based on his book “ Conspiracy: The Real-Life Sex Scandal That Almost Destroyed the President’s Career .” And the fourth season will be about, as you already understood, Monica Lewinsky (43) and her affair with Bill Clinton (70) in 1998.
