Alexander Yulievich Ivanov is a Russian rock singer, leader of the group “Rondo”, performer of the hits “God, what a trifle”, “My unkind Rus'”, “I will remember”, “I will lay the sky under your feet”. In second grade, Sasha joined the “Youth” sports section, where he began practicing sambo. At the age of 12 he switched to the judo section and soon received a black belt. The boy regularly became a winner at competitions in Moscow and the region, so he planned to become an athlete. In his youth, Alexander developed another hobby - rock music. On the Jupiter tape recorder, Sasha regularly listened to his favorite compositions by foreign groups Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, after which he decided to start learning to play the guitar on his own, which he inherited from his older brother, who had gone to the army.

After graduating from school, Ivanov also went to serve in the ranks of the SA. The young man was assigned to tank forces located in Germany in the city of Plauen. A year later, on the basis of the army orchestra, Alexander created his own musical group, which specialized in performing rock compositions.

In the army, the musician met Nikolai Safonov, with whom he later worked for a long time in the Rondo group. The soldiers' ensemble often played at formations, holidays and festivals that were held between the military bands of the garrisons. Music

Having been demobilized, Alexander Ivanov got a job as a vocalist in the Moscow ensemble “Rainbow”, and then moved to the groups “Allo” and “Airport”. In 1984, Alexander formed the group “Krater” together with musicians Alexander Ryzhov and Alexander Firsov. The ensemble performed at concerts in the capital and cities of the Soviet Union.

In the same year, Alexander left the ensemble and joined Vladimir Miguly’s group “Monitor”, which gave concerts almost every day for an audience of 10-20 thousand. Alexander Alexandrovich Ivanov was born in Moscow into the family of an artist. In 1960 he graduated from the Faculty of Drawing and Drawing at the Moscow Correspondence Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a teacher of drawing and descriptive geometry.

His fame was brought to him by his poetic parodies. In 1962, his creative career began. Ivanov is the author of a number of articles, pamphlets, and notes. In 1986, Alexander Ivanov, on the recommendation of his colleague Evgeniy Khavtan, became a member of the Rondo group of jazzman and saxophonist Mikhail Litvin. Together with Ivanov, Evgeniy Rubanov came to Litvin’s team. The team was created in 1984, but the leader was still forming a strong composition.

Two years before this, the group managed to release the album “Turnips”, in which the glam rock style of music was established. In two years, the group manages to take part in the rock panoramas of Central Television, performs in the program “Teleconference with America”, records the record “Rondo” on. For its tenth anniversary, which was supposed to take place in 1996, the group released the disc “The Best Ballads of Rondo,” which included 10 lyrical compositions. A festive concert with the participation of Rondo’s friends, the Gorky Park group, was held at the Moscow Youth Palace.

Solo career

In 1997, having started his solo career, Alexander Ivanov immediately became a laureate of the Golden Gramophone award for his performance of the hit “God, what a trifle.” In the same year, the musician released his first solo album, “The Sorrow of a Sinful Soul,” with the tracks “Night” and “I will lay the sky under your feet,” which gained all-Russian fame.

All hits for the new album were written by Sergei Trofimov, whom the former frontman met back in 1995. The singer's solo album quickly took the first line of music ratings and was a box office success. But commercial disagreements arose between the author and the performer, after which the collaboration ceased.
