Entrepreneur Pavel Kuryanov
In the 90s, the couple opened their own business, although, according to Pasha, this did not affect him. They didn’t give the boy any pocket money, and they didn’t make the desired purchases.
“If they gave me money, I had to do something first to get it,” he says.

The sociable boy spent his pocket money on trips to cafes and clubs. In one of them, a 15-year-old teenager met a man with whom years later he would build the Black Star business empire shoulder to shoulder.

At first, the boys were brought together by teenage interests: the boys rode rollerblades and skateboards around Manezhnaya Square, listened to music, and soon organized the group “VIP777”. Having become a little older, passionate about creativity and parties, Timati and the energetic, enterprising Pasha began organizing parties in clubs. “This was the first salary, so to speak. I was 17 years old then. At that time, I earned $100 a night, which was decent money at that time,” Kuryanov recalls in an interview.
At school, Pasha Kuryanov studied well, but his behavior remained unsatisfactory: the boy’s parents were constantly called to the director and talked about their son’s misdeeds. Therefore, finishing school brought relief to everyone.

Pasha did not think long about his choice of profession. He loved money and wanted to know everything about it, so he entered the Moscow Credit College, and then continued his education at the Moscow International University, mastering the specialty “Finance and Credit”.
The beginning of a creative journey
Ivlev Pavel was born in the capital of the Russian Federation. The native Muscovite spent his early childhood years in one of the so-called criminal districts of the capital, called Lefortovo. When Timati went to conquer the Star Factory in 2004, Kuryanov was left alone with club activities. We had to establish connections and solve many administrative and financial issues. While Timati was resolving creative issues with the repertoire, Pasha had to take on marketing, management and other mechanisms for promoting the artist. The official creation of the Black Star label, in which Pavel Kuryanov is the founder along with Timur Yunusov and Walter Chassem, took place in 2006. Today, Black Star is developing several business areas at once: a marketing communications agency, a software developer for the music business, a gaming company, a chain of BS Burger establishments, a chain of salons 13 by Black Star, a football agency. In 2010, Pasha released the Black Star Wear clothing line, a network of branded stores has already been launched in Russia and a number of CIS countries.
“We should make a cool product and try to grow the market, not share of it. It’s better to have 10% in a market of 100 billion rubles than 80% in a market of 100 million rubles,” is how the businessman sees the company’s development.
In the main - musical - direction of the Black Star empire, a white streak began in 2012, when Yegor Creed and rapper L'One joined the label. Today, Timati and Pasha’s wards include 13 bright young performers.

In 2020, Pavel Kuryanov met his future wife, model and singer Anna Ivanova, known under the pseudonym Hannah. The girl was born in Cheboksary and practiced ballroom dancing for a long time, but a severe injury put an end to her career.
