Childhood
On December 12, 1970, a girl with an unusual name was born in Sparks, Nevada. Her father, Bill, was a musician, and her mother, Judy, was a medical manager of German descent. It is thanks to these roots that Mädchen bears this name. In addition to the Germans, Amik's ancestors include the British, Swedes and Norwegians.
Two years after the girl’s birth, her parents divorced. Mother remarried. It should be noted that it was the stepfather who played an important role in the creative development of the girl. Thanks to him, she mastered playing the guitar, piano and even the violin. In addition, she studied ballet and modern dance.
From childhood, Mädchen knew exactly who she would become in the future. At school she attended acting classes, and immediately after graduation, at the age of sixteen, she left for Los Angeles to achieve her goal of becoming an actress.
Biography
She owes her unusual name (German Mädchen - “girl”) to her parents who did not want to give their daughter an ordinary American name. Madchen's parents Judy and Bill divorced when the girl was two and a half years old. Some time later, Mädchen's mother remarried the musician.
Under the guidance of her stepfather, Mädchen began learning to play the piano at the age of three. Later she mastered other musical instruments: double bass, violin and guitar.
Amik’s decision to become an actress matured during her school years. She took acting classes at the Robert McQueen School in Reno and studied choreography (tap, ballet, jazz, modern dance).
Carier start
As soon as Amik moved to the “city of dreams,” she was immediately offered a job at a modeling agency, although her height was not ideal for this job. Having signed a contract with him, she also began to collaborate with an advertising and acting agency. Her everyday life took place on Sunset Boulevard. She constantly participated in photography and video recordings, but this was not at all what she came for. The girl dreamed of more.
Soon Mädchen made a deal with her parents, saying that she had a year to achieve complete financial independence. If this does not happen, she will return home to resume her studies and look for herself in another field.
But there was no need to return. Even though it was towards the end of the appointed period, Amik was invited to act in films. Main role in the low-budget film “An Alien in an Alien Body.” Of course, the tape was so-so; the girl later recalled this experience with shame. But this was the beginning that took place. Afterwards there were several more episodic roles, including work in the TV series “Star Trek. The Next Generation" and "Baywatch".

Directors and producers feared that they might be accused of trying to boost ratings with the help of the stars of an unusual series.
