Mikhail graduated from high school in Krasnoznamensk near Moscow with a gold medal, then entered a higher educational institution. After receiving his diploma, he became a business consultant. About two years ago he flew to San Francisco to work as a programmer.
Filipchuk makes excellent money, however, he spends all the money on himself - the former actor does not yet have a family. There were many girls in Mikhail’s life, however, according to him, he has not yet met the one with whom he would like to share the rest of his life.
Filipchuk loves to travel with friends. He devotes almost all his free time to this pleasant and useful activity. Sometimes Mikhail visits his homeland, but is reluctant to communicate with representatives of the press about his past in cinema; he is more interested in talking about professional topics - computers, for example. Of course, Mikhail has changed a lot, but his eyes remained the same - still just as beautiful and trusting.
Many still easily recognize Sanka from “The Thief” in him. By the way, for this role Filipchuk received a “Children’s Oscar” in 1998, so at one time he was deservedly called an “Oscar-winning” child.

Soon Misha received an offer to star in Vladimir Mashkov’s film “The Orphan of Kazan”. The plot of this film is that teacher Anastasia, due to the death of her mother, decided to send an old and forgotten letter to a certain Pavel, the father of a little orphan. The whole point is that three Pauls responded to this letter at once, and the orphan had to figure out which of them was the real father. Of course, now it was easier for Mikhail to act, because he already had some experience, but the acting profession never became his calling. After this film, Mikhail Filipchuk ended his acting career and devoted himself to the world of computer technology.
And besides, filming films took a lot of time and effort. The actor himself admitted in an old interview that the acting profession is not a priority for him. In his opinion, it was very difficult to first film the scene where his mother dies, and then adjust to the real world. For Michael it was woozy and hazy.

The director immediately liked the blue-eyed boy with a touching bang, and Misha was approved. The film told the dramatic story of one family in the post-war years. And yet, it was not the excellent performances of the famous actors, but rather the childish spontaneity, coupled with the undoubted acting talent of Misha Filipchuk, that contributed to the enormous success of the film. The film collected many different awards. It was even nominated for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Film category. Misha was not spared either. True, he did not receive a prize at the 54th International Venice Festival due to age requirements. But Misha himself had a completely different opinion about his future fate. The young actor did not like working in films. Firstly, it took a lot of time, which had a drastic impact on his studies, and Misha loves to study. And yet, after “The Thief,” he starred in several more films. In the comedy “The Orphan of Kazan” he played a small role as a student. This was followed by an episode in the film “Crusader 2” and a small role of young Yuri Luzhkov in the short film “We are your children, Moscow,” the filming of which began in 1997, and the film was released only in 2004. Over time, Misha Filipchuk became convinced that the acting profession was not for him. “Playing a role in a movie is nothing more than lying,” he says. - To play well, you just need to be able to lie...
