Young, inexperienced, sweet, with big eyes and a shy smile - this is exactly how she appeared before the audience in the film “Flying in a Dream and in Reality.” After the premiere, a tenth-grader at a Moscow school woke up famous. She played the mistress of an adult man on screen, but rumors immediately spread that the romantic relationship was not only on the set. They really liked each other, but there was no intimacy between them. The beauty's name was Elena Kostina, and her partner's name was Oleg Yankovsky.

Family and serious hobby left in the past
Back in 1964, a charming baby was born into a family of Moscow engineers, who was named Elena. Her father was not involved in art, but her mother played the violin in her youth and sang beautifully. She had a chance to become a professional actress and performed on the same stage with Maya Kristalinskaya. Elena Kostina gained invaluable experience working with the masters of Soviet cinema. Later she recalled that her parents were very worried about her. One day, my mother decided to come and personally make sure that her daughter was doing well. Because of this visit, the director almost lost his main character. The day before, the artists celebrated their colleague’s birthday in Elena’s room. We parted late and left for filming in the morning. When Kostina Sr. entered her daughter’s room and saw the remains of the festive dinner, she almost lost consciousness.
Everything was resolved successfully only thanks to the persuasion of the charming Oleg Yankovsky. He hugged the confused woman and assured her that everything was orderly and noble. Of course, she could not help but believe the famous artist.

Success inspired Elena, and the profession of biologist faded into the background. After school I decided to go to theater school. She successfully passed the exams at the Moscow Art Theater School and was enrolled in O. Efremov’s course.
