Famous and popular stars of cinema, theater, television and sports

Birth and family

Alexey was born in Moscow on January 6, 1961. But soon after giving birth, the mother with her baby in her arms left for Novosibirsk. This is where the future actor spent his childhood years.

Alexey doesn’t know who his dad is. He only knows that his father was a military man, and his mother loved him very much. According to the actor, he did not feel a lack of male education; his father was completely replaced by the street, where life priorities were very clearly set.

Mom, Irina Viktorovna, raised her son alone. She was open to the world, an extraordinary and kind woman, never discouraged, attracting people to her like a magnet. She had a good education, her mother spoke three languages.

Childhood and family of Alexei Maklakov

Alexey was born in Moscow. When he was very young, he and his mother moved to northern Novosibirsk, where he spent his entire childhood and youth. Almost nothing is known about this stage in the actor’s life. Questions remain open: why did the boy and his mother have to leave Moscow? What family did he come from? What happened to Alexei's father?

The mother of the future movie star worked as a librarian and supported herself and her only son on her very modest salary. Thanks to his mother’s intellectual profession, Maklakov became addicted to reading books from an early age and at the age of sixteen had a significant amount of knowledge acquired in the library. Already at this age, he experienced a great craving for acting, participating in performances in the school circle.

Childhood

We lived in a communal apartment in a small room. Irina Viktorovna worked in a children's library, her meager salary was barely enough to live on. Mom divided herself entirely between books and her son, and masterfully managed to unite them.

Maklakov says that he owes everything good in life only to his mother, especially his erudition. He read from the age of four, and by the age of thirteen he had already studied the works of Bunin, Vonnegut, Turgenev, Zola, Balzac and Leskov. A little later, hiding under the blanket, I read the forbidden Solzhenitsyn with a flashlight. From the second grade, Alexey helped his mother at work. He had good handwriting, and the boy filled out book forms with cards.

There was no television at home, Alexey had to be content with the radio. The program “Theater at the Microphone” especially excited his imagination; he clearly pictured the faces of the characters in his imagination. And leafing through one book after another, getting acquainted with the life stories of different people, Alexey began to show acting abilities very early. Everyone liked the way he told jokes funny and with intonations, and parodied his acquaintances; his friends even gave Maklakov the nickname “Artist.”

And Alexey had real comrades, in this regard he was lucky, he grew up in a wonderful yard. Street companies taught him to defend himself; he learned what honor and loyalty are, how to treat a woman. There were also fights “region to district”, but it was in them that character was formed.

Maklakov often took part in school plays. In this regard, his friends advised him to enter a theater university. But he waved it off, saying that nothing would work out for him. One of the friends offered to bet on a box of wine. And Alexey lost the argument - after reading Chekhov’s story, from which the selection committee laughed, he was admitted to the exams and entered the Novosibirsk Theater School. I had to borrow money for a box of cheap wine, which I and my friends then drank.

Movies

Having received a diploma in theater education, Alexey Maklakov went on stage. The young man was accepted into the Novosibirsk Red Torch Theater. And his well-read nature, well-trained voice and pleasant diction helped the actor find a place on Radio Uniton.

Alexey Maklakov in the theater

The creative biography of Alexei Maklakov received new impetus in 1996, when the Novosibirsk artist moved to Moscow. Here the artist was taken to the V.V. Mayakovsky Theater. On this stage, the audience saw with their own eyes Alexey’s high acting skills. Theatergoers enjoyed watching performances with Maklakov’s participation: “Love Synthesizer”, “Vanyushin’s Children”, “A Plague on Both Your Houses” and “As You Love It”.

Maklakov gained all-Russian popularity after appearing on screen. After a number of episodic roles in Russian TV series, in 2001 Alexey played the main role in the social drama “Hello, Baby!”, where he played an eccentric adult who lives with street children Keith and Alenka.

Alexey Maklakov in the film “Night Watch”

Maklakov’s performance was noted by director and producer Timur Bekmambetov and invited the actor from “Mayakovka” to the project “Night Watch” to play the role of the magical driver Semyon. The artist’s partners on the work site were Konstantin Khabensky, Vladimir Menshov, Valery Zolotukhin, Maria Poroshina. Despite the fact that critics were skeptical about the film, the film collected a good amount of money at the box office for a Russian project - $34 million.

Later, the Night Watch film crew told reporters about the incredible hard work of Alexei Maklakov and the actor’s high professionalism. And viewers and critics agreed that the artist definitely “got into character.” It is impossible to imagine that someone else would play the role of the driver. Alexey Maklakov portrayed a similar role in “Day Watch,” which premiered a year later.

Such success among the audience immediately increased the acting ratings of the performers of the main and supporting roles, so after the blockbuster, no less interesting works appeared in Alexey’s filmography. Together with Nikolai Chindyaykin and Alexander Dedyushko, the actor starred in the gangster saga “Boys of Steel”, and with Ekaterina Vasilyeva and Ekaterina Semenova appeared in the melodrama “Bankers”. In the military drama “Time to Collect Stones” he appeared as a commandant.

Maklakov gained real popularity after the release of the cult TV series “Soldiers”. Ensign Shmatko was so beloved by the audience that Alexei Konstantinovich had to hire a security guard for some time: it turned out to be impossible to leave the house and walk down the street.

Alexey Maklakov in the TV series “Soldiers”

Maklakov later starred in the following seasons of “Soldiers,” in which the cast underwent considerable changes. But it was impossible to imagine the series without Shmatko. The series was so loved by the audience that the creators decided to make a war film based on it with Alexei Maklakov in the title role. In 2007, the comedy “Ensign Shmatko, or Yo-moyo” was released, which was also a success.

Among the subsequent film works of Alexei Maklakov are the films “After Life”, “Gromovs” and “Time to Collect Stones”. In these films, the actor proved that he can handle diverse characters.

In the film “Dumb Fat Hare,” Alexey Konstantinovich was convincing: Maklakov had to play an unrecognized actor. Alexey earned the respect of demanding film critics with his work in the films “Platinum”, “Step by Step” and “Merciful”, although viewers are not very fond of these films.

The artist's fans fell in love with Alexey for his excellent acting and singing talent. Maklakov’s disc “Yo-moyo” is in great demand.

Education and early career

In 1980, Maklakov began studying acting, although before that he dreamed of going to medical school. It was the work of doctors that always seemed magical to him; he also wanted to try to treat people, save them, bring them back to life. Perhaps that is why at first he did not feel much love for the profession of an actor, but he respected and appreciated it. The realization that he was still doing what he loved came much later, when he began to go on stage and felt the incomparable happiness of contact with the public.

His mother was skeptical about his choice of profession and did not believe that her son would be able to achieve any heights in this field. And then Alexey firmly decided to prove that his mother was wrong, he set goals for himself and achieved them by any means.

In his third year, Maklakov was accepted into the troupe of the Tomsk Theater for Young Spectators. The head of the Youth Theater Arkady Katsman was exiled to Tomsk from Leningrad for his original productions. A whole galaxy of graduates from LGITMiK came with him. Alexey was lucky to share the stage with future stars - Igor Sklyar, Natalya Akimova, Andrey Krasko.

Maklakov did not stay long in episodic roles; soon the director entrusted him with a mouse in “The Adventures of Leopold the Cat,” Plokhish in “The Tale of Boy-Kibalchish,” and Robin Hood.

Moving to Moscow

Simultaneously with the theater, the actor began working part-time at Tomsk Radio, where he allowed himself black humor in relation to the authorities, ridiculing everything dishonest, cowardly, and nasty. For this, he was soon sent from Tomsk to Novosibirsk, where he went to work at the Red Torch Theater. But here Maklakov began to acutely feel his lack of demand and isolation. By the age of thirty-five, he, an actor from the provinces, felt like a complete failure.

And then a real miracle happened in his life. In 1996, while visiting friends in Israel, Alexey came to the Western Wall. All the people wrote notes there, and he also left: “Dear God! It’s time for me to change something in my life,” although at that time I didn’t put much faith or meaning into my words. But four months later he sold his apartment in Novosibirsk and left for Moscow.

It was necessary to look for work in the capital. Quite by chance, Maklakov met a Novosibirsk friend who worked as a theater administrator, and now served in the same position at the Mayakovsky Theater. We went to chat with him, then theater director Yuri Yoffe stopped by. After talking over a glass, the director invited Alexey to audition for his play. That same evening he showed himself on stage and was enrolled in the theater troupe.

Maklakov worked at the Mayakovsky Theater for ten years and played in the following productions:

  • “As you will love it”;
  • "Love Synthesizer";
  • “A plague on both your houses!”;
  • “Children of Vanyushin”;
  • "The fruits of enlightenment."

In 2006, Alexey left the theater due to his workload at the cinema. Now he takes part in enterprise productions. At the Moscow Independent Theater in the play “The Master and Margarita” he plays Cat-Hippopotamus and Berlioz.

Alexey Maklakov

Alexey Maklakov was born and raised in Novosibirsk. There he graduated from the Novosibirsk State Theater School. For some time he worked at the Uniton radio and played at the Novosibirsk Red Torch Theater. In 1996, Alexey Maklakov was accepted into the troupe of the Vl. Mayakovsky. On the stage of this theater he played roles in the plays: “Synthesizer of Love” (Mervin), “Enter a Free Man” (Brown), “Fruits of Enlightenment” (Doctor), “Children of Vanyushin” (Krasavin), “A Plague on Both of Yours” Houses!" (Signor Capulet), “As You Like It” (Le Beau), etc.

All these years, Alexey Maklakov did not act in films, so apart from avid theatergoers, he was practically unknown to anyone...

Alexey Maklakov starred in films for the first time in 2001. But that cameo role in the movie “Hello, Baby!” hardly any of the spectators remembered. But director Timur Bekmambetov already drew attention to the talented actor, and when he began filming “Night Watch,” he remembered him again.

Bekmambetov offered Alexey Maklakov the role of the driver-magician Semyon. The actor admits: “When I looked at the script, to be honest, I didn’t even know how to start reading it.” In this situation, Maklakov was helped by his friend, Radio Uniton employee Boris Komarov, who, after reading the script, advised him to accept the role.

Maklakov fit very well into the image proposed to him. The producer of the series, Vyacheslav Murugov, notes the actor’s performance: “... a really very accurate hit, a very talented performance of this image. I’ll even say more, it’s one thing to write, and another to breathe life into this image. It's worth a lot."

The film brought Alexei Maklakov great popularity. The audience especially remembered the famous scene where the emergency vehicle, under the control of Semyon, makes the famous somersault. Maklakov recalls how the filming took place: “...that evening I was hungry and bought pizza. When I arrived at the Krasnye Vorota metro station, where we filmed it, it was lightly raining, and then I saw the cabin of our car, which was standing on a centrifuge... And before that, the best, as I believe, stuntman in Russia, Dima, came up to me Vorobyov - who asked: “Lesha, have you eaten today?” - “Yes, I just bought pizza” - “Maybe you won’t?” I didn't understand. I ate this pizza and washed it down with tea. When we sat down in this cabin, we were spun 360 degrees. It was 8 takes, that is, all the pizza I ate, unfortunately, ended up inside the salon, etc. And then, when I was on the dubbing, I saw how you see this frame, already in the edited material. A body was attached to our cabin. Takeoff, flight... And, to be honest, I even envied this hero, whom I played, that it was really possible to drive a car so cool. And I believe they voiced several shots in this film. Because it was, well, another consequence of what I experienced related to pizza. That's why I adore him. The flight was successful."

By the time “Night Watch” was released, Alexey Maklakov had already begun filming in a new project - the series “Soldiers”. The creators of the series set themselves the task of telling about the modern army in a comedic manner. At the same time, they skillfully avoided deviations towards outright satire. The humor in the series is truly good. That is why “Soldiers” was equally loved by the most diverse segments of the population, and, importantly, it was enthusiastically received by the servicemen themselves.

Alexey Maklakov played perhaps the most colorful role in “Soldiers” - warrant officer Shmatko.

It is worth noting here that Maklakov served in the army for only 6 months, and even then it could hardly be called real service. This is what he remembers himself: “I didn’t serve long, but it was fun. They took me into the army from the Novosibirsk Theater Institute. As soon as I got into the unit, I organized an amateur art group. Our artillery soldiers respected me, even the “grandfathers” became friends with me..."

Considering all this, one can only wonder how the actor managed to feel his hero so subtly. He didn’t just play the ensign, but created a truly unusually truthful image. At the same time, Shmatko cannot be called an unambiguously positive hero. It is mixed with an abundance of both positive and negative qualities. But at the most crucial moments, the good in him always prevails.

This is probably what made the character of Alexei Maklakov a popular favorite. Within six months, the whole country was laughing at the cunning, economical and so charming ensign Shmatko. Even children began to send him letters to the address: “Moscow, warrant officer Shmatko.” And men stopped on the streets to remember the army. Maklakov even got a security guard, and he became the first “ensign” in history with a personal bodyguard.

The first “Soldiers” were followed by “Soldiers-2”, “Soldiers-3”, etc. The characters of the series changed, and only Ensign Shmatko always remained unchanged. True, at one time he was also a lieutenant, but even in this rank he remained an Ensign. In spirit.

The actor himself reflects on the success of his hero: “I tried to understand what the secret of the success of my ensign was. And I understood. This is the most common type of Russian person - the one who lives in spite of. We all live in spite of something - a small salary, family problems. At the same time, Shmatko, like most of our people, manages to be an optimist. Every Russian person has something of this ensign.” Simultaneously with filming the series, Alexey participates in several films, including “Dumb Fat Hare,” where he played so well the role of an unrecognized actor, once known to him in life. In 2007, Maklakov starred in Dmitry Astrakhan’s new film “Everything is Fair” in the role of coach Kovalev.

Recently, Alexey Maklakov released his own disc of songs in the chanson style “E-moe”, which is wildly popular and sells in large quantities.

Alexey Maklakov was married three times, divorced twice, and has two children. His eldest son plays with his father in the series “Soldiers”. If anyone doesn’t know, this is Private Skripka.

Movie

Alexey made his film debut in 1999 in the TV series “D. D. D. Dossier of Detective Dubrovsky" (the role of a pathologist) and "Kamenskaya" (the role of the director of the Research Institute of Instrument Engineering). These works were episodic, but already in 2001, director Vladimir Makeranets invited Maklakov to play the main role of Baby in the comedy melodrama “Hello, Baby!”, where he played a forty-year-old man with the development of a ten-year-old child. In this film, the actor’s work drew the attention of the famous director Timur Bekmambetov, who was going to shoot the fantasy “Night Watch”. When starting filming, Timur called Alexey to play the role of driver Semyon, a high-level magician. This film brought Maklakov fame.

The actor was already over forty years old at that time, but the popularity that fell on him was not at all pleasing. Shortly before the release of “Night Watch,” Maklakov’s mother died, who was not just a family member for him, but also his most faithful friend. Alexey idolized her, next to his mother he was truly happy, he lived only for her sake. Maklakov had no other goal in life except to make his mother happy and proud of her son. But it so happened that she did not have time to learn about Alexei’s successes. Therefore, having gained fame, the actor remained indifferent; then nothing could distract him from the terrible grief and irreparable loss.

True audience love and crazy popularity fell upon him after the release of the television series “Soldiers”. The creators of this comedy project decided to talk about the modern army in a humorous form and offered the most colorful role of warrant officer Oleg Nikolaevich Shmatko to Alexey. The series turned out to be so rated that it was shown on screens for ten years.

Now Maklakov is a well-known and in-demand actor in Russian cinema, with about forty roles to his credit. His most striking works in films and TV series:

  • "Two Fates";
  • "Yesenin";
  • "Day Watch";
  • "Gromovs";
  • “Time to collect stones”;
  • "Officers";
  • "Dumb fat hare";
  • “Everything is fair”;
  • "Lucky chance."

Fans also love the actor for his musical talent; in 2007, the disc “Yo-moyo” was released with songs performed by Maklakov.

Best films

Maklakov became truly popular after the release of the comedy series “Soldiers”. The audience immediately fell in love with Warrant Officer Shmatko. The country was looking forward to new episodes to see the cunning but charming Oleg Nikolaevich. The actor even had to hire a security guard; fans watched him near his house and on his way to work.

Alexey Maklakov as Ensign Shmatko

The cast underwent changes, only Maklakov’s hero remained in his place. At one time, Alexey Konstantinovich served only 6 days in the army, without ever experiencing the harsh realities. After filming “Soldiers”, the artist for some time played military men in other TV series: “Platinum”, “Traffic Cops”, “Dead. Alive. Dangerous".

In 2007, Maklakov was awarded the Title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

It doesn’t matter for an artist whether he plays the main role in a film or a secondary one; on the set he gives his all. The artist’s filmography includes more than 40 films. The most memorable of them: “Two Fates”, “Dumb Fat Hare”, “Officers”, “Dark World: Balance”, “Elastico”.

Personal life

Alexey's first serious love came during his student years. He married very young because he was honest towards his girlfriend Olya Belokobylskaya, a medical student. Once we met, we must get married. However, it soon became clear that pleasant and joyful meetings were very different from living together. The relationship turned out to be juvenile and immature. Although the couple had a boy, Ilya, in June 1987, the young couple still divorced.

Olya later got married, Ilya had a stepfather, and it so happened that Alexey had no contact with his own son for a long time. Many years later they met, began to communicate, Ilya even starred with his father in the TV series “Soldiers”, playing Private Andrei Skripka. Now Maklakov’s eldest son lives in Novosibirsk.

Having moved to Moscow, the actor married a second time to a girl named Maria. But this marriage also turned out to be fleeting and unsuccessful, despite the fact that the couple had a girl, Nicole. After the divorce, Alexey periodically communicates with his daughter, but less often than he would like, since Nicole now lives in Canada.

He calls the appearance of his third wife Anya in the actor’s life a gift from God. Their acquaintance took place at the Gorky Film Studio, where Maklakov voiced his role in the series “Soldiers”, and Anya was the dubbing coordinator. Somehow they immediately liked each other, despite the fact that Anna is twenty-three years younger than Alexei. He felt good next to this girl, his soul calmed down, but most importantly, Anya was able to compensate Alexey for the loss of his mother.

And then events happened that he still cannot recover from - the birth of two daughters. Irochka was born in January 2009, and Sofia in December 2012.

Alexey loves to draw cats, fervently supports the Spartak football club and considers himself an incredibly happy person. Every year he always flies to Israel to the Western Wall to thank God for everything he has given him.

Last marriage

During this same difficult period, the actor was busy filming the series “Soldiers”. There he met and immediately fell head over heels in love with Anna Romantseva, who worked as a “voice acting” coordinator on the set. And despite the fact that Anna is 23 years younger than the popular ensign, she also paid attention to him from the first days and showed a reverent attitude. Without thinking twice, Alexey Konstantinovich soon simply took her with him, since then they have been inseparable to this day. The third marriage turned out to be the strongest and happiest. In 2009, the couple had a daughter, Irina, and in 2012, Sofia.

— They probably gave you comedy roles?

— Theater is a living thing. There, any comedy can be turned into a tragedy, and vice versa. In the morning performance “The Adventures of Leopold the Cat” I played the Fat Mouse; by the way, the hall was always full of adults who watched our production with great pleasure. And in the evening there was “Parents' Saturday”, where I had the role of a labor teacher, a legless disabled person. And then one day, on stage, I put my crutches aside, loaded my legless body onto the cart, and lit a cigarette. “When I returned from the war without both hands...” I said for some reason, then immediately looked in horror at my own hand with a cigarette and added in panic: “And without both legs!!!”

But it was too late. The hall simply burst into laughter.

— Did the scene attract you more?

“I didn’t want to be an artist, I’ll say more, I still don’t want to.” I always considered this profession to be purely female. She is emotional, dependent and shocking.

I respect my job, but I don’t love it. She takes away the most important thing - her personal life, and life in general. There is one joy in acting - a moment of illusion. Nothing else.

I got into the profession on a bet. As I already said, I was raised by the street, which replaced my father. There are strict but fair rules. And then one day I bet with my friends on a box of wine. They believed that theater people were just waiting for a clown like me, but it seemed to me that they would never accept me. I just thought that I didn’t have any talents other than telling vulgar jokes. But he lost the argument. I wrote the introductory dictation with a wild number of errors - there were exactly thirty-five of them - but for some reason they still accepted me. He had to borrow money from the same street “teachers” to buy the box of wine he lost. At first they hired me as a volunteer for a year. I was hoping that they would kick me out. But Valery Kharitonov, a teacher who, unfortunately, is no longer alive, liked it. He believed that God gave me a rich texture and that I didn’t need to play anything special.
