This handsome young man was born in early December 1983 in Samara, but spent his childhood in the city of Desnogorsk. His parents moved there when Seryozha was little.
The guy went to a regular school, he was not an excellent student, but he was not a poor student either. First roles
Sergei, a born humanist, entered the Faculty of Fine Arts of the State University on his first try. While still studying at Moscow State University, Sergei had the opportunity to try his hand at cinema. In Huseyin Erkenov’s film “Black Ball,” the guy immediately got the main role, playing a 17-year-old boy who joined the youth football team. The director was worried whether the newcomer Chirkov would cope with the role, and Seryozha was nervous, but, as it turned out, Erkenov’s choice was justified - the aspiring actor brilliantly completed the task.

After the first year, it became clear to Sergei that for the acting career, which he still dreamed of, he needed an appropriate education, so he dropped out of Moscow State University and submitted documents to VGIK. He was lucky enough to enroll in Andrei Panin’s course. But he also did not graduate from this university, having studied here for only a year.
As a result, he settled on Sergei Zhenovach’s course at GITIS. During his student years, Sergei Chirkov was an indispensable member of the university KVN team, which successfully performed in the International League. Three years of performing experience could not but affect his future career, becoming an excellent platform for the development of the young man’s acting skills.
Sergei Chirkov’s graduation works included quite serious roles: Sergei played the role of Nikolai Rostov in the theatrical production “Lev Tolstoy. Scenes”, and also played Stavrogin in the play “Demons” by F.M. Dostoevsky. Chirkov received the coveted diploma in the specialty “theater actor” in 2009, and after graduating from the institute he devoted two years to the theater.

In 2009, Sergei Chirkov graduated from GITIS. There he studied on the course of S. Zhenovach and received a higher theater education. The actor worked in the theater for two years, playing in productions of Leo Tolstoy. Scenes" and "Demons".

The Ukrainian language was also demanded by the magazine “Lel” (1992-2003), which was conceived as a purely national project. On the pages of Lelya, in particular, in the translations of Sergei Chirkov, the prose of Arkady Averchenko, Viktor Astafiev, Konstantin Vaginov, Vladimir Voinovich, Mikhail Weller, Matthew Bull, Sylvia Bourdon, Anaïs Nin, Anne-Marie Villefranche, poetry of Alexander Blok, Valery Bryusov appeared , Alexander Vertinsky, Leonid Vysheslavsky, Andrei Voznesensky.
He translates ancient authors of Asia and the Middle East from rhythmic contractors, among them, in particular, Abu-l-Atahiya, Abu Nuwas, Al-Maarri, Al-Akhtal, Agathias, Antipater of Thessalonica, Al-Sharif and other world classics.
Chirkov also creates his own poems. A significant part of them was included in the collection “They Don’t Walk on the Earth on the Moon,” work on which was completed in 2008. The book has not been published and is considered lost.
In recent years, he has focused on prose - he published a two-volume travel novel “The Ark. Lullaby for Death" (2012), wrote the story "Home-Home" (2013). He actively writes journalistic articles and political comments.
