Nicole Scherzinger spoke about her struggle with bulimia: “I felt like I was in prison”

Childhood

On June 29, 1978, 18-year-old Rosemary gave birth to a daughter, whom it was decided to name Nicole. The girl got Russian and Hawaiian roots from her mother, and her father Alfonso was Filipino. Their family fell apart before Nicole even reached adulthood. Then the mother, Nicole and her older sister Keala moved to Louisville. His father's place at that time was taken by his stepfather, the German Harry Scherzinger.

Nicole Scherzinger already attended acting classes at the School of Youth Arts at the age of five. Her higher education at the university was also related to acting. Success for young Nicole Scherzinger can be called performances in the amateur theater of Louisville. Nicole also won the Coca-Cola Classic Talent Contest.

Star Trek

In 1999, Nicole Scherzinger's fate took a completely unexpected turn - she quit her studies in order to take a place as a backing vocalist in the group Days of the New. A year later, she decided to leave the group and move towards new achievements: in 2001, she became a participant in the Popstars show, where she managed to reach the finals and become part of the Eden's Crash group. In this group, Nicole Scherzinger was also not destined to achieve popularity, but the unfriendly girl group strengthened her character and gave her a lot of experience for working in the often unfair world of show business. This was followed by Nicole's first attempt to launch a solo career under the pseudonym Nicole Kea. Her best result during this period was the creation of the soundtrack for the film “50 First Dates.”

A real rise awaited Nicole Scherzinger in the group The Pussycat Dolls, which she joined in June 2003. At first it was just a pop burlesque troupe, but after some time the group, on the initiative of the producer, was turned into a musical group. It is Nicole who receives the most audience attention in the group - she performs most of the vocal parts, and also participates in writing the hits I Don't Need A Man and Buttons. Thanks to the efforts of the girls, in 2006 the group's album went double platinum. The dizzying success of Nicole Scherzinger as part of The Pussycat Dolls is pushing the girl to try a solo career again. It all starts with a successful duet with P Diddy, after which the singer begins work on a solo album in 2006. It appears already in June 2007 and is called Her Name Is Nicole. In March 2011, Scherzinger's second disc, Killer Love, was released. Most music critics praised the singer's work, but the success of the single Don't Hold Your Breath was more eloquent. Nicole again found herself at the top of her popularity, so in the same 2011 she was invited to become a judge on the TV show X-Factor.

Nicole Scherzinger appeared on television and as an actress, but mostly in TV series and sitcoms, and besides, these appearances can be counted on one hand - there are not many of them. Her role in the film Men in Black 3, released in 2012, was notable.

There are very few generally known facts about the personal life of the beautiful Nicole Scherzinger - the singer is very careful about such details and tries to keep them secret. There were rumors about her engagement to 331 singer Nick Hex, but the credibility of this information leaves much to be desired.

In 2011, Nicole Scherzinger announced her engagement to English Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. There were separations in their relationship, but the couple decided to start a family.
