Russian stars and their foreign counterparts: who copies whom?

Colin Farrell does not belong to the category of people whose life goes according to plan. Before becoming an actor, Farrell dropped out of school and lived in Australia. He has two children from different women, he managed to take part in completely different projects - from arthouse films “Lie Down in Bruges” and “The Lobster” to controversial films like “Alexander” or “Horrible Bosses.” The actor's style is equally ambiguous. At one moment, Farrell can look like Sergei Shnurov in 2004, and at another, like David Beckham in 2017. Let's figure out what Farrell has already tried on, what is yet to come and what constants have nevertheless developed in his style.

2000–2003

At the beginning of his acting career, Colin Farrell looked like a real Irishman - that is, very cocky. Tousled hair (except for the times when Pharrell shaved his head), V-neck T-shirts and wrinkled shirts with strange collars - all this did not prevent him from regularly becoming a participant in tabloid lists of the most handsome men on the planet. Although now it seems to us that coming to the red carpet in jeans, sneakers and a sock-hat is somewhat strange, but in the early 2000s fashion dictated something completely different. So it's no surprise that Pharrell was one of the main sex symbols of the last decade. In the end, everything is not so bad for him: to be convinced, just look at the Beckhams of that time.

Russian stars and their foreign counterparts: who copies whom?

Every person on Earth has a double. Komsomolskaya Pravda wrote about this using the example of our journalist, who discovered her twin, and, moreover, her exact copy lives with her in the same city, she is also a journalist by profession, and even writes on similar topics.

We decided to remember Russian celebrities who are very similar to Western and world stars. Their similarities are sometimes surprising.

A significant role, of course, is played by similar hairstyle, hair color, glasses, makeup for women and beard and mustache for men.

Dima Bilan in this photo looks so much like Johnny Depp that, looking at the photo of the 33-year-old singer, you remain confident that the 52-year-old Hollywood actor also decided to post selfies on Instagram. But here, rather, it’s all about the hairstyle and choice of glasses.

Yulia Savicheva, probably at the beginning of her career, back at the Star Factory, only heard “compliments” like “How similar you are to Avril Lavigne.” The resemblance to the Canadian singer is noticeable to the naked eye. And even after Julia changed her hairstyle. In addition, both are vocal, both singers, and the age difference is small - 3 years.

Former lead singer of the Lyceum group Lena Perova also has her double in Hollywood. By the way, nothing has been heard about both for a long time. Perova left the stage and works as a music broadcast editor for one of the TV channels, and Ryan hasn’t acted in any significant film for five years. Lena is 38 today, Meg is 53.

One of the most promising and promising actors in Russian cinema, the favorite of Fyodor Bondarchuk, who directed him in the film “Stalingrad,” and the simply charming Pyotr Fedorov, are even seriously called “Russian Colin Farrell.” The same expressive eyebrows, fashionable stubble, strong-willed chin... In a word, both the Irish actor and the Russian are handsome twins. And his acting talent is no worse than that of a Hollywood star. By the way, Colin looks older than his age, but he is only 39. Peter is 5 years younger than his double.

The ex-soloist of “Tatu” Yulia Volkova, even though she decided long ago to greatly change the shape of her eyebrows, still looks like Liza Minnelli in her youth (the American Oscar-winning actress and singer is almost 40 years older than Yulia).

Our most beautiful Veniamin Smekhov, who personifies Athos from The Musketeers, is very different in his acting role from his double. But it’s difficult to deny that he has a lot in common with Al Pacino in appearance.

Larisa Udovichenko has similar features to the legendary Meryl Streep. Udovichenko is 6 years younger.

Comedian Garik Kharlamov, after a happy, satisfying life with his beloved wife Kristina Asmus, has changed a little since the time when this photo was taken. But before “Bulldog” added a few dozen kilograms, he was very similar to Hollywood celebrity Matt Damon. Garik is one of the most successful comedians in Russia, another is doing well in the global film industry. Their age difference is 11 years, although Garik looks older.

Tina Kandelaki and Penelope Cruz. Two very beautiful women. It's clearly a matter of southern roots.

Ekaterina Vilkova and Amanda Seyfried - the similarity is phenomenal! They are easy to confuse: huge eyes, blond hair and the same face shape. And both are very talented and both were born in 1985.

Oleg Gazmanov, at 63 years old, also remains faithful to his profession, like his American counterpart Hey Martinez, better known to Russians as Cruz Castillo from Santa Barbara. 66-year-old Ey continues to act as police officers in every way, and Oleg continues to jump on stage, stretch in splits and do somersaults, just like 30 years ago.

2004–2010

It’s difficult to say how many times Farrell changed his hairstyle during this time. He grew his hair out to his shoulders and got rid of it, started covering early gray hair, used too much gel, realized he was using too much gel, and finally settled on his signature slicked-back hairstyle. In parallel with this, Farrell gradually turns from a gopnik into a man (albeit not immediately). First, alcoholic T-shirts disappeared from the wardrobe (unfortunately, they will return), then Pharrell goes through a phase of loving arafat scarves. The 2000s end for Colin Farrell with cosplay as Dima Bilan: the same hat, goatee and a seemingly casual combination of a classic jacket and vest with jeans. Even the sparkly tuxedo and earrings were better.

2011–2016

With the advent of the new decade, Colin Farrell is changing rapidly (we suspect that this could not have happened without the intervention of a competent stylist). Truly elegant suits appear in his wardrobe, and Farrell readily experiments with colors: he arrives at the premiere of “The Lobster” in Cannes in a light gray three-piece, and presents “Love Through Time” in a dark green double-breasted jacket.

The freedom-loving Colin Farrell, however, couldn’t get along with one accessory, just like the yoga trainer’s ponytail: ties accompanied the actor for some time, but were so boring and monotonous that Farrell eventually abandoned them completely. There was another reason to stop wearing ties: Colin Farrell simply cannot imagine himself without an open collar. Often this love takes on catastrophic proportions - in such cases, Farrell would do well to listen to our recommendations.

For the sake of his role in “The Duelist,” Pyotr Fedorov lost 15 kilograms

At the press conference, which was held immediately after the pre-screening of the most anticipated domestic drama “The Duelist,” there was a stir. And for good reason. After all, the main creators of the film took part in the conference: director and screenwriter Alexey Mizgirev, producer Alexander Rodnyansky, actors Pyotr Fedorov and Yuri Kolokolnikov. They said that the idea for creating the painting came by chance: Alexey Mizgirev came across a dueling codex and began looking through it. One point immediately interested the director - the possibility of replacing the duelist. This is where the plot of the script came from.

The drama "The Duelist" is the story of a lost man. Yakovlev, the character of Pyotr Fedorov, appears in St. Petersburg in the 19th century. A cold-blooded nobleman who essentially works as a hitman. He replaces one of the duelists in duels for money. However, everything changes when the hero faces injustice in the person of Count Beklimishev, played by Vladimir Mashkov. Regaining honor and punishing the offender are the main tasks for the young, fearless Yakovlev. Pyotr Fedorov admits that his character is as similar to himself as possible. And this is not a coincidence at all.

“I’ll tell you that it has long ceased to be interesting to make films about anyone other than yourself. The fact is that the viewer also does not believe any stories. The audience wants you to come now. I see this trend. They want us, as people who came to tell them a story, to tell it for real, to go through it. It’s not interesting any other way,” says the actor.

Pyotr Fedorov also said that for the role he had to lose about 15 kg. But the actor believes that the body is just a tool, and for an artist external changes are normal. The main thing is to understand the psychology of the hero and be inspired by the picture you are making.

“Our cinema is a personality. I am very proud that this huge cinema on the territory of a large toolkit is being performed by a real auteur director. This is a story invented by one person and performed by him. We all followed him and were instruments in his hands. And this constitutes our professional happiness,” says Pyotr Fedorov.

By the way, it is worth noting that “The Duelist” has become the third Russian film in the IMAX format. The creators of the film admit that despite the special effects and fashionable equipment, the film’s budget turned out to be quite small - only 725 million rubles. “The Duelist” will be released in wide release this Thursday, September 29.

The official trailer for the film "The Duelist" was used.

2017–2019

Over the past couple of years, Colin Farrell's style has been anything but stable. He either makes a fatal mistake like wearing a suit vest, which for some reason he puts on without a jacket, or appears in an image so impeccable that we immediately forgive him all his past sins. On the “Dumbo” promotional tour, for example, Farrell behaves in an exemplary manner: starting with a checkered suit, which Colin expertly combines with a striped tie (he knows how, after all), ending with a suit with sneakers. True, we haven’t yet decided how to feel about the actor’s new hairstyle, but we’ve almost gotten used to the mustache.

Pyotr Fedorov: a multifaceted hero

In the past year, Pyotr Fedorov appeared on cinema screens many times. Premieres with his participation always deserved attention, including the films “The Duelist”, “Icebreaker”, “Pure Art”, “Her Name was Mumu”...

They call him a real man, they say that he does not like to show off and takes his choice of roles very seriously. For fifteen years, Peter played many diverse roles, starred in dramas and comedies, played glamorous majors and simple guys from the outskirts, artists and sailors, war heroes and escaped prisoners...

Pyotr Fedorov was born on April 21, 1982 in Moscow. He spent his childhood in Altai, returning to the capital only in the eighth grade. Peter drew well and made plans to enter the Stroganov Academy of Arts and Industry, but the choice was still made in favor of the acting department of the famous “Pike”, the theater institute named after Boris Shchukin.

Peter’s first major film role was in the film “101 Kilometers” directed by Leonid Maryagin. Maryagin, seeing a photograph of Peter, admitted that he recognized himself in him in his youth. Fedorov played a young man to whom prisoners offer one deal, and a state security representative offers another...

The next important step in Peter’s career was participation in the series “Club,” which was called “the story of Cinderella in R&B style.” Fedorov plays a representative of the golden youth, a playboy, the son of a rich father.

Peter played the space warrior Guy Gaal in Fyodor Bondarchuk’s “Inhabited Island” (preparing for the role, Peter gained about twenty kilograms of muscle mass), and played the tragic main role in the sensational pseudo-documentary film by Pavel Bardin about neo-Nazi skinheads.

Since 2013, the name of Peter Fedorov has not left the posters. The actor has the main role in the important film of our time “Stalingrad” by Fyodor Bondarchuk, filming the erotic thriller “Locust” with Paulina Andreeva, the drama “The Runaways” with Elizaveta Boyarskaya, the main male role in the remake “And the Dawns Here Are Quiet...”, a role in the film “ Motherland" by Pyotr Buslov.

In the past 2020, Pyotr Fedorov played a gloomy duelist in Alexei Mizgirev’s atmospheric film “The Duelist,” found himself captive in ice off the coast of Antarctica in Nikolai Khomeriki’s “Icebreaker,” and became an artist in the film “Pure Art.”

Peter meets with artist Anastasia Ivanova. However, the word “dating” is perhaps not very appropriate in relation to a couple who have been together for about thirteen years.

A few facts about Pyotr Fedorov:

  • Peter's great-uncle is the famous actor Alexander Zbruev.
  • Peter Fedorov's height is 181 centimeters.
  • Favorite outfit: T-shirt, jeans, sneakers.
  • Peter plays keyboards in the music group Race to Space, writes music, and films videos for the group.
