Igor Lastochkin is a Ukrainian and Russian actor, showman, and TV presenter. Fans of KVN remember this charming guy from his participation in the game as captain of the Dnepropetrovsk National Team, and on television he made a brilliant start in the entertainment show Once Upon a Time in Russia. Today, the artist’s creative life is connected with the Ukrainian projects “League of Laughter” and “Make the Comedian Laugh.”

The future “star” of comedy shows, even as a child, managed to travel around different cities of the post-Soviet space. He was born in Kazakhstan, lived in Uzbekistan, and came to Ukraine for higher education. In Dnepropetrovsk, Igor entered the Metallurgical Academy, naively believing that his future specialty would be close to the oil industry, and they would earn good money there.
Since his student years, he became interested in playing KVN and was invited to the Dnepropetrovsk national team. Fans of the funniest program remember the numbers of the spouses Igor and Lena, in which Lastochkin, who played the husband, always showed wit and charisma. The team did not win the Major League, but was loved by the audience. Igor forever decided to connect his life with the stage, humor and acting, throwing his metallurgist diploma into the back drawer.
Childhood and youth
Igor Lastochkin was born in the Kazakh city of Shymkent (formerly Shymkent) in November 1986. After 7 years, the family moved to Tashkent. In the capital of Uzbekistan, the future actor graduated from school No. 110. After school he entered the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine, located in Dnepr (formerly Dnepropetrovsk). Next, I started playing the Cheerful and Resourceful Club, first just for fun, and then, without even noticing, I became an avid KVN player. He liked the idea of it all.
In 2008, the comedian joined the national team and was received warmly and cordially. Games for the teams “+5” and “Steel Project” from Dnepropetrovsk became Lastochkin’s debut on the KVN stage. At first, the team did not play captain's competitions, but somehow his comrades invited him to become their captain and Igor agreed.
Throughout his career, he has had many successful games, but, of course, there have been defeats. Igor Lastochkin lists the game in the 1/8 finals in 2011 as one of his failures. This difficulty is largely due to the fact that at that time his team had neither experience, nor funds for props, nor time to properly prepare. And after arriving in Moscow, “everything went awry.” The result was a disastrous performance on stage.
Further successful performance of the team brought Igor Lastochkin to the Comedy Club Dnepr Style, where he became its resident. In 2014, he was accepted into the sketch troupe “Once Upon a Time in Russia.”
In 2020, Igor Lastochkin began participating in the Ukrainian television comedy show “League of Laughter,” in which teams or comedians compete in humorous routines or answers among themselves. “Song about Deputies” was most remembered by the audience.
A year later, a new season of the comedy show “Make the Comedian Laugh” started on the “1+1” channel. Igor Lastochkin was invited to host the show. TV viewers reacted positively to this decision. As the actor himself says, everything worked out thanks to a strong feeling of excitement and fear. The short actor (Igor’s height is 170 cm and weighs 66 kg) immediately became popular.

On June 3, 2011, the wedding of Igor Lastochkin and Anna Portugalova took place. The young people met while studying at the university. The students' dorm rooms were located opposite each other. Lastochkin's wife is a financier by profession.

The artist did not waste his free time. Lastochkin accepted an offer from the creators of the Ukrainian TV show “Dancing with the Stars,” where his partner was Ilona Gvozdeva. In February 2020, Igor Lastochkin, together with his colleagues, went to the 5th Ukrainian Championship in Humor, which takes place in Odessa. 200 teams from neighboring countries and Israel attended the competition. This time, Igor changed his coaching chair to that of a member of the Dnepr team.
Lastochkin is not going to stop there. In 2019, he shared his plans for the future with his subscribers, in particular, his desire to try his hand at stand-up comedy.

In 2018, Igor Lastochkin also became a dancer, and what a dancer at that! The TV channel “1+1” invited him to its popular dance show “Dancing with Stars”. The comedian started participating in the project absolutely from scratch, having never done choreography before - and won.
In the final, the Lastochkina couple unexpectedly beat such jury favorites and public favorites as Irakli Makatsaria and Lesya Nikityuk. Having received the coveted Cup, Igor admitted that it was very difficult, and many times he thought about giving up and quitting the show. But the comedian was constantly stopped by the insane support of TV viewers who simply bombarded him with admiring messages.

In 2013, the Dnepropetrovsk team stopped playing in KVN, and its captain Igor Lastochkin started joking on the stage of the Comedy Club Dnepr Style. After some time, he was invited to take part in the new TNT project “Once Upon a Time in Russia” and the guy, along with other former KVN players, began to act out funny skits on air on the Russian TV channel.
The show's ratings were quite high. The participants were able to make witty jokes and “puzzle” officials, football referees, and popular personalities. Igor was especially good at absurd characters, deceived husbands and insecure guys. It is known that the scripts for the show are prepared by the authors, but the participants supplement them with their own jokes and ideas on how to make the images even more interesting.
Simultaneously with his participation in the show, Lastochkin took an active part in Ukrainian humorous projects and worked on several television channels at once. He managed to live and work in two countries, realizing his talent and expanding his number of fans.
