Almost immediately after the end of the presidential elections in Croatia, a heated discussion began on social networks about the newly elected candidate and the first woman in the country’s history to hold this post, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic. Moreover, attention was drawn not only to the political course that she will implement in her post, but also to photographs of the President of Croatia in a swimsuit.

Biography of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was born in the town of Rijeka on April 29, 1968. The girl was brought up in the suburbs, not far from the town itself. There her parents kept a shop and ran a household. From early childhood, the girl was distinguished by diligence in her studies and diligence. For example, although Kolinda’s native dialect is the Chakavian dialect of the Croatian language, she was also able to master the Shtokavian dialect, which is the basis of the country’s literary language. Later, Kolinda Grabar also studied English, Portuguese and Spanish.

An intelligent and diligent student, at the age of 17 Kolinda was able to win a grant to study abroad in the USA. Here she took courses at many prestigious universities, and she also studied in her home country, at the University of Zagreb. There Kolinda Grabar met her future husband Yakov Kitarovich. The couple got married in 1996, and now they already have two children - daughter Corina and son Luca.

In her youth, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic received an excellent education, which helped her build a successful career. She started it in 1992 and then consistently moved up the career ladder. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic is a fairly young lady, moreover, she became the first female president in the history of the country, and this is still a rarity for the whole world. Such published photographs are very rare for female politicians, who most often appear before the public in strict and rather closed suits.

By the way, there is a funny misunderstanding connected with these photographs. The fact is that many journalists accepted the Internet duck as truth and placed instead of real photographs of the President of Croatia in a swimsuit, a photo of the Hollywood star Nicole Austin. The girl really has some external resemblance to Kolinda, they are similar in build, height, and both are blonde. Admiring reviews were also devoted to the images of this girl.
