Alexey Mikhailovsky was fired up by this idea. The young man developed his own concept, wrote out the plan on paper and went to the organizers of the “House 2” project. The idea was approved, and Alexey began organizing the film set: he found the territory, came up with voting rules, and criteria for getting into the show.
The first day of filming for “House 2” is considered to be May 5, 2004, although television viewers saw the show 6 days late. On that day, 15 people entered the project perimeter for the first time, every week one of whom was replaced by a newcomer. Many of the show's participants became famous in the country. It is enough to name the names of Olga Buzova, Elena Berkova, May Abrikosov, Roman Tretyakov, Wenceslav Vengrzhanovsky, Irina Agibalova. These people, and hundreds of other names, owe their fame to Alexei Mikhailovsky.

The producer explains the mega-popularity of the show by the fact that the project is constantly changing, viewers don’t have time to get used to one innovation before something new is invented. In addition, the openness of the participants’ expression of emotions in front of the cameras allows fans of the show to see from the outside different models of human behavior and track the consequences of this or that action, a spoken phrase, or a fleeting action.
It is worth noting that the “House 2” format became one of the few Russian projects that were sold abroad. The show with the general concept of “How To Build Your Love” was bought by Dutch, British and American television companies.

Forty-seven-year-old producer Alexey Mikhailovsky, whose biography is closely connected with television, began his professional journey more than 22 years ago. His areas of interest included news broadcasts, as well as political PR. True, he stopped participating in elections in 1999. He collaborated on First with Alexander Lyubimov in the programs “Time” and “Here and Now”, then moved to NTV at the invitation of the channel’s chief producer Sergei Shumakov. Everything had to start from scratch: look for land, create a perimeter, come up with rules for its operation. The project was launched on the night of May 5, although it went on air on the eleventh. The creative team considers the first date to be his birth. Fifteen participants, each of whom will become mega-popular in the country, will cross the perimeter gates.
Personal life
It must be said that over the course of 12 years, the television project “House 2” has contributed to one and a half dozen marriages. Alexey Mikhailovsky also played one of the weddings. In 2013, the producer married show participant Natalya Varvina. The celebration was quiet and modest, few people knew about it, although many suspected the relationship between the lovers. Before this, Alexey and Natasha first appeared at an open party on the occasion of Olga Buzova’s birthday. The lovers visited the registry office on February 7, 2013, where they registered their relationship in the presence of relatives.
And in the summer of the same year, the couple also got married in a church, and this time the holiday was widely covered in the press. Unlike the winter ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated their summer celebration at the Moscow restaurant Turandot, and Roman Tretyakov was invited to host the evening. Love story
Natalya Varvina came to Stepan Menshikov’s project, but they only developed friendly relations. Sympathy for Alexey appeared in 2010, when the girl was sitting on a swing and crying because of a quarrel with her friend. The producer calmed her down and helped her with advice.
The young people began a relationship. We led the project together. By the time the general work was completed, Natalya decided to leave, communication stopped. Varvina went home in May, and by October she realized that she couldn’t live without Alexey. They moved in together and soon got married.
Mikhailovsky proposed to Varvina in Paris when he left the Tiffany boutique with the coveted box. The couple got married on February 7, 2013, but the celebration itself was modest. In the summer, the couple decided to get married in a church.
