SEREBRO - all members of the group for ten years. What happened to the soloists?

First line-up (2006-June 2009)

The group began with the collaboration of Maxim Fadeev with Elena Temnikova, one of the winners of the TV show “Star Factory-2” (2003). According to the singer:

“Fadeev and I spent several years thinking through our direction, sound, and original style. As a result of these searches, a project appeared that Max called “Silver”.

The name of the group may have been given by the surname of its second member, Olga Seryabkina. Fadeev also knew this girl well, and for many years: she worked as a backing vocalist for his ward, singer Irakli Pirtskhalava. Since the group was conceived in a trio format, the producer selected another vocalist through online casting. She became Marina Lizorkina.

The first composition of the group “Serebro” in 2007 with the song “Song #1” took third place at the Eurovision Song Contest. This composition became a hit and entered many European charts.

Other hits of the group performed by the first lineup: “Breathe,” “Opium,” “Tell me, don’t be silent.” The album “OpiumRoz” includes 11 songs: 5 in Russian, 6 in English.

Music awards: MTV Russia-2007 (“Best Debut”) and -2008 (“Best Group”; “Golden Gramophone”, “Song of the Year” and many others).

Elena Temnikova

Elena Temnikova was born (04/18/85) and grew up in the city of Kurgan. She studied at a music school (violin class), but did not graduate. She continued her musical education with classes in a vocal studio. In the 11th grade, she moved with her parents to Omsk. There, in 2002, she became the winner of a regional song competition, went to represent her region at the All-Russian festival in Moscow and won the grand prix.

Elena remained to live in the capital and soon successfully passed the casting for “Star Factory-2”. Having entered the top three, she toured a lot with other Factory finalists, and in 2004 took part in the reality show “The Last Hero”.

In 2009, information was spread that Temnikova was leaving the group due to an affair with Maxim Fadeev’s brother Artyom. A casting call for a vocalist was announced. But later Elena admitted that this was a well-thought-out PR move by the producer.

In 2014, Temnikova married the head of an IT company, Dmitry Sergeev, and left the Serebro group for real.

In March 2015, she gave birth to a daughter, Alexandra. But she did not leave show business, continuing to pursue a successful solo career.

Olga Seryabkina

Olga Seryabkina (04/12/85) is from Moscow. Since childhood, I have been involved in both dancing and singing. At the age of 17, she became a candidate for master of sports in ballroom dancing and graduated from the School of Arts in the class of pop singing. She graduated from a university with a degree in translator and translator from English and German. In 2004 she met Fadeev; for about 2 years she was a dancer and backing vocalist for singer Irakli Pirtskhalava.

Olga is the author of the lyrics of many Russian- and English-language songs of the Serebro group and partly of their music (together with Fadeev).

Since 2014, Seryabkina, without interrupting her participation in the Serebro group, began working on a solo project.

Under the pseudonym Molly, she regularly recorded dance songs and videos. In 2020, when it was decided that Olga would leave the Serebro group, these compositions were combined into the singer’s debut solo album, “Orca in the Sky.” Her role in the film “The Best Day” became successful. Olga played a wild pop star and made an excellent comedy duet with Dmitry Nagiyev.

In creating intrigue about their personal life, few can compare with Olga Seryabkina. She was credited with having affairs with many representatives of show business. Including with Maxim Fadeev, and even with Elena Temnikova. Olga herself not only reveals nothing in the interview, but, on the contrary, confuses her even more.

Marina Lizorkina

Marina Lizorkina (06/09/83) is a Muscovite, but from 6 to 10 years old she lived with her parents in Sudak (Crimea), attended regular and music schools there (piano class). She completed her studies in Moscow, where she studied at the Institute of Contemporary Art at the pop department.

Before being selected for the Serebro group, she already had considerable experience performing in various musical projects. In particular, she was the lead singer of the group “Formula” and performed vocal parts for the TV series “Doomed to Become a Star”.

In June 2009, shortly after the release of the Serebro group's debut album, OpiumRoz, Marina left the group. According to her, they parted with the producer amicably. Lizorkina found herself in painting, and Fadeev supported her in this career turn. Marina was really able to realize herself as an artist: her exhibitions are held all over the world, and prices for paintings reach several thousand euros.

Nothing is known about the personal life of the singer, and now an artist; she does not reveal the name of her chosen one in an interview and does not lead a party lifestyle.

Group "Silver" now

In October 2020, Olga Seryabkina excited the online community with her announcement of her desire to end her career as part of the Serebro group. The singer announced this from her Instagram page and in an interview with reporters from the Russian music channel RU.TV. Olga added that she, together with other members of the team, will work until the end of the contract with Maxim Fadeev - until February 2019. The artists went on their final tour. Their performances took place in front of full houses.

New lineup of the group “Silver”
After online casting and subsequent participation in a reality show on YouTube, the names of the new lineup were announced - Elizaveta Kornilova, Marianna Kochurova and Irina Titova.

7 celebrities with perfect bodies who love junk food

This event took place on Valentine's Day at a concert of the MUZ-TV channel, held in the Kremlin Palace. For the first performance of his players, Maxim Fadeev chose the song “Love Between Us.”

Now the girls are working on a new repertoire. The singer presented the first video for the debut track “Oh, Mom” six months after the start of their joint creative activity.

Second lineup (June 2009 - October 2013)

Marina Lizorkina was replaced by Anastasia Karpova.

The second lineup of the group released the album “Mama Lover” in June 2012, which went platinum in Europe and Japan. Hits of this period: “Mama Lover” (in the Russian version “Mama Lyuba”), “Angel Kiss” (“Let’s hold hands”), “Like Mary Warner” (“Sweet”), “Sexing You” (“Not the time "), "Gun" ("Boy"), "Mi Mi Mi".

Nominations for international awards: MTV Europe Music Awards-2010 and -2012, victory in the OE Video Music Awards-2010 with the video “Sexing You” (“Not Time”), laureates of the Golden Gramophone, Song of the Year 2010 and 2011.

The video “Mi Mi Mi” (released on June 10, 2013) received more than 15 million views in 3 months, and after another 2 years it exceeded 70 million views.

Anastasia Karpova

Anastasia Karpova (11/02/1984) comes from the city of Balakovo, Saratov region. During her school years, she attended the local music and dance studio Street Jazz. After school, she sold at a clothing market and worked as a dancer in a nightclub. In 2007, she set off to conquer Moscow. In the capital, she also worked as a dancer until she won an online casting for the “Silver” group.

The official reason for Anastasia's departure from the group in October 2013 was the desire to pursue a solo career. However, she eventually disappeared from show business. Only in 2014 did she temporarily return to Serebro to replace Elena Temnikova while Maxim Fadeev was looking for a new girl to take her place.

All that is known about Anastisia’s personal life is that she had a long affair with the popular Russian Radio DJ Max Orlov.

Musical style

In 2007, Serebro, thanks to the group’s start from Eurovision, immediately attracted the attention of Russian and European journalists. The website “Utro.Ru” wrote in May 2007 that over the past two months the group was the most discussed not only in the media, but also among representatives of domestic show business[74]. The director of music broadcasting of the Russian Channel One, Yuri Aksyuta, claimed that the decision to send an unknown group was made unanimously by the expert council, immediately after they heard the demo version of “Song #1”. “The remaining candidates, among whom were Panayotov and Chumakov, Diana Gurtskaya, Polina Griffiths, the bands Band'Eros and TOKiO, turned out to be a head or even two lower than Serebro,” he added[75]. Composer Vladimir Matetsky described the group’s debut song as “very modern, dynamic,” adding that he liked the group because it belongs neither to the traditional Eurovision direction nor to freaks[76]. Larisa Dolina, having seen Serebro’s performance before the expert commission of Channel One, said: “They sing very confidently, move very well, such a very good European level”[77]. The British television channel BBC about the stylishness of the group, adding that the fashionable group in Britain Girls Aloud would not be ashamed to have such a song as “Song #1” in their repertoire[78]. The Intermedia.Ru portal compared the group with another British girl band, calling Serebro a Russian clone of Sugababes, however, noting that the copy turned out to be “very high quality”[79]. Assessing the group’s result at the competition, third place, music critic Artur Gasparyan noted that the group achieved such a high result without “... a deafening promotional campaign, […] without history and powerful fan clubs, like most promoted performers; there were no hired “PR Quakers” to create behind-the-scenes hype at such events; and most importantly, it was only on May 12 in Helsinki that they first (!) appeared on stage as a group. Birthday! And immediately - on an international stage in every sense![78]" Alexey Mazhaev from InterMedia.ru wrote that, having performed at the competition "more than successfully" for debutantes, "at the same time proving that at this competition a big name means no more than precisely executed composition and number,” the Serebro participants instantly moved into the category of “stars,” and Fadeev’s hits allowed the group to maintain their quickly acquired high status even after Eurovision[79]. Guru Ken wrote that by sending Serebro to Eurovision, Maxim Fadeev “took a dangerous risk and won big,” expressing the opinion that “... if the group did not win third place at the prestigious competition in Russia, it is unlikely that the English-language clone of progressive English teen groups would become would be so widely known. In the best case, with the song “Song #1” he would have faced the fate of the useless Plazma or the same Fadeev’s Total.”[80]. Debut album “Opium Roz” was named by Billboard

the most anticipated release of 2008[81], and after its release it was called by him “exceeding all expectations”[82].

With the arrival of Anastasia Karpova in 2009 and the start of recording the second studio album, the group’s style changed somewhat again - the debut video with the new lineup, “Sladko,” was announced as the “first erotic video clip” of the group[83]. Videos with an explicit plot were also shot for the singles that followed, “Not Time,” “Let’s Hold Hands,” and “Mama Lyuba.”[84][85][86].

Another surge in journalists’ attention to Serebro began after the release of the single “Mama Lyuba”. According to Maxim Fadeev, the song was considered “off-format” by the management of most Russian radio stations[87]. The song and video clip received negative reviews for the presence of obscene words in the text, as well as the frank behavior of the soloists in the video[88]. At the same time, Bulat Latypov from Afisha

compared “Mama Lyuba” with the tracks of Duck Sauce[en][89].
Meanwhile, the growing popularity of the single “Mama Lover” in Europe and Latin America attracted the attention of foreign media. Many critics called this song the “calling card” of the group, despite participating in the Eurovision Song Contest with “Song #1”. the Italian Corriere.it
compared Serebro and their “Mama Lover” with the Russian group tATu and their main hit “All The Things She Said” and the scandalous video for this song[90]. Sergio Zadeddu of Musicsite Italia called the song "light enough to be pop, danceable, mass-oriented and without any meaning" and added that "young people will probably happily add the single to their playlists for weeks, especially if they include a video and photo of these pretty starlets with the song.”[91] Excitenews.es described the song as "catchy and danceable".[92] Italian journalist Diana Guglielmini, speaking about the single, said “... the single “Mama Lover” is the new “catch song” of this summer. The song was released back in August 2011, and now it has come to Italy. A video of three girls dressed skimpily and behaving immodestly has taken the internet by storm. Moreover, the younger generation probably appreciated the video much more than the song itself,” adding that Serebro has serious chances to conquer music markets outside of Russia”[93].

Third line-up (October 2013 – June 2014)

Anastasia Karpova was replaced by Daria Shashina (09/01/1990).

Daria Shashina

Daria Shashina (09/01/1990) was born and raised in Nizhny Novgorod, in a family of professional musicians. She graduated from music school in two classes: violin and piano. She studied for 4 years at the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory, after which she left for the USA. She worked as a singer in a restaurant on Brighton Beach and tried to build a career as a fashion model. In September 2013, she won the casting of Maxim Fadeev and replaced Anastasia Karpova in the Silver group.

After leaving the group, Shashina is actively engaged in blogging. In August 2020, she married Ivan Chebanov, a participant in the show “The Voice”.

History of creation and composition

The idea of creating a female pop group, different from other similar pop projects, came to the mind of Elena Temnikova, a participant in the second “Star Factory”, curated by Fadeev. As the producer himself admitted in an interview with Yuri Dudu, it was initially planned that the group would be focused on the Asian music market.

The first composition of the group “Silver”: Elena Temnikova, Olga Seryabkina, Marina Lizorkina / LiveStream

The first line-up was formed by 2006. First, Temnikova invited backing vocalist Olga Seryabkina to the group, who at that time was working with another student of the producer. Max himself found the next participant via the Internet - she was the Moscow artist Marina Lizorkina. With this lineup, the girls recorded and performed until June 2009 - then Marina was replaced by Anastasia Karpova, a girl originally from Balakovo.

7 bright participants of the “Star Factory” that everyone forgot about

The next reshuffle occurred in September 2013: Karpova left the group, and Daria Shashina, a native of Nizhny Novgorod, became the new soloist of “Silver”.

A year later, Temnikova left the group - the contract was nearing its end, and the girl did not want to renew it. Elena's place was taken by Polina Favorskaya, born in Podolsk. On April 13, 2020, the audience became aware of the last name and first name of the new participant - Shashina was replaced by Katya Kishchuk.

On November 17, 2017, the casting ended, as a result of which the young (born in 1998) resident of St. Petersburg Tatyana Morgunova became the new soloist. The girl did not last long in the group, as another competition for vacant positions was soon announced.

Fourth line-up (June 2014 - April 2016)

In 2014, Elena Temnikova left the group before the end of the contract; she did not fulfill all the agreed conditions and paid a penalty. Elena Temnikova was replaced by Polina Favorskaya.

Polina Favorskaya

Polina (11/21/1991) is originally from Volgograd, but grew up in Podolsk near Moscow. Polina studied in a folklore choreographic ensemble for 12 years. After school, she graduated from the Faculty of Advertising and PR at the Higher School of Economics and since 2010 worked at the production center of Maxim Fadeev.

According to Polina, the day when Maxim invited her to become one of the soloists of the Serebro group became the happiest day of her life. Favorskaya worked in the group until the end of 2020. The reason for leaving was chronic fatigue from a busy schedule, a desire to devote myself to travel, meditative practices and a loved one.

Polina’s chosen one was Nikita Volosnikov, the head of a successful IT project, traveler, Buddhist, biker and surfer. They have been together since 2020. And in 2020 they broke up, and Favorskaya decided to start a solo career in show business.

Fifth cast (May 2020 - December 2017)

In 2020, Daria left the group for health reasons. She started having problems with her knee joints. Doctors diagnosed dysplasia and categorically forbade the girl to dance. Daria was replaced by Ekaterina Kishchuk.

In May 2020, the group’s third album, “The Power of Three,” was released. Like the first two, it included songs in both Russian and English.

Hits of this period: “You are not enough”, “Confused”, “Don’t hurt more”, “I won’t give you up”, “Let me go”, “Broken”, “Kiss”, “Sexy Ass”.

Ekaterina Kishchuk

Ekaterina Kishchuk (12/13/93) was born and raised in Tula. She has been dancing since childhood, and in her youth she excelled in fitness aerobics, winning a number of major tournaments in Moscow. Arriving in Moscow after school, Katya studied first at the Moscow State Institute of Culture, then moved to the Gnessin Academy of Music. But she did not graduate from any educational institution, starting a modeling career in China and Thailand.

Having successfully completed Maxim Fadeev’s online casting, she became a member of the group in 2020. Katerina worked in the group until February 2019, when the producer decided to reboot his project, completely changing the composition. In March 2020, she announced her engagement to Estonian rapper Tommy Cash.

Sixth cast (December 2020 - February 2019)

Soon Polina Favorskaya left the team, and Tatyana Morgunova came to replace her.

With this lineup, the Serebro group released the following new singles: “111307”, “Chico loco”, “On the face”, “Friday”.

Tatiana Morgunova

Tatyana Morgunova (01/25/98) was born and raised in the city of Aktobe (Kazakhstan). At school I studied music and learned to play the guitar. In addition, she competed for the school in athletics and swimming competitions. After 11th grade, Tatyana moved to St. Petersburg. In the northern capital, she studied at the Polytechnic University and worked as a fitness trainer.

She became the soloist of the group “Silver” just like most of her colleagues. Looking for a replacement for Polina Favorskaya, Maxim Fadeev announced an online casting and chose Tatyana from thousands of other applicants.

New line-up No. 7: reboot of the “Silver” project

In February 2020, Fadeev formed a completely new line-up of the group. As usual, with the help of an online casting that took place in November 2018, he selected three girls at once.

Elizaveta Kornilova

Elizaveta Kornilova (06/22/2000) participated in this selection for the group for the second time. She is a journalism student at the Film and Television Institute. He has been studying music since childhood. She took part in Junior Eurovision, starred in “Jumble” (together with Evelina Bledans), recorded several songs under the pseudonym Baeli.

Marianna Kochurova

Marianna Kochurova (07/06/1996) originally from St. Petersburg, studies at GITIS, majoring in acting, course of Elena Shanina. I studied piano at a music school. As a singer, she tried to realize herself under the pseudonym Marianna Monaco. During the online casting, the girl surprised Fadeev with the range of excerpts from songs presented - from rap to jazz improvisations.

Irina Titova

Irina Titova (01/22/1997) was born in Tashkent, then the family moved to Elektrostal near Moscow. Irina is a candidate master of sports in diving, a student at the Moscow Financial and Legal Academy. In parallel with her studies, she worked part-time as a manicurist and visited the fitness room every day. She considers it a miracle that she was chosen from thousands of other equally talented and charismatic girls.

Naturally, Maxim Fadeev was simply bombarded with questions - why did he decide to completely renew the Serebro group? The producer readily replied that he was planning to implement a project of a completely new format, level and scale under the same name. Targeted at the tastes of the huge Asian market. That was his original idea back in 2006. However, then the “Silver” project took a completely different, opposite direction of development. Now the ambitious producer is determined to triumph in China, Japan, India and other Asian countries.

The beginning of success

The girls woke up famous all over the world. Fans waited and demanded a new track from the group. How happy our compatriots were when they heard the girls sing a song in Russian called “Breathe.” It was a touching and tender ballad. In Europe the group was also in demand. The song “What's your problem” was released for the English-speaking public.

In 2008, the group released another new song - the song “Opium”. An analogue was immediately made in English called “Why”. Soon, another song called “Say, Don’t Be Silent” premiered, which quickly gained popularity in its native country.

A year later, the band released a full-length album of eleven songs called “OpiumRoz”. It included tracks in the same two languages. The combination of Russian hits and compositions that could be in demand in Europe was very unconventional. The disc united all the efforts of the team during its work. The premiere took place in an unusual way. Poklonnaya Hill was chosen for the concert. Spectators did not have to pay for tickets. About seventy thousand people came to see the group.
