Anna flew into the center of dramaturgy and direction by Kazantsev and Roshchin. This helped her get her first big film role in Leonid Rybakov’s film “Tell Leo”: the acting assistant simply came across a photo of the aspiring actress in the Praktika theater. Despite the obvious failure of the film, Anna began her public life: first at Kinotavr, then an interview at the Kino in Detail studio with Fyodor Bondarchuk.

Before the vague arthouse called “Tell Leo,” Anya made her mark in the episode “Kulagin and Partners” and the soap production “Doomed to Become a Star.” What’s so special about “Tell Leo” is that Starshenbaum was naked for the first time on camera, and she was also filmed completely bald.

The theme of irreversibility, a person’s internal choice, sounded weak and vulgar in the film. Starshenbaum herself understood everything at the screening of the film in Sochi - after the official premiere, the girl got drunk out of grief. In 2008, for the STS TV channel, Anya starred in the youth series “Love is not what it seems,” and the title became prophetic for her. Anna played the broken and lightweight friend of the main character, and one of the partners was Vladimir Yaglych.
