One of the most sensational love stories of the last decade is the romance between two stars of the music world, Valery Meladze and Albina Dzhanabaeva. A complex and ambiguous relationship over the years gave rise to a lot of contradictory comments and public responses, but the couple withstood all the ups and downs and did not change their feelings.
It all started in 2002, when a young actress, a graduate of Gnesinka, received an offer from a famous pop artist to become a backing vocalist in his team. Valery warned Albina about the inadmissibility of any romantic relationships “in the workplace,” but he himself was the first to violate this prohibition.
He later recalled that from the very beginning he felt the excitement and attraction that arose between them: “... something skipped a beat in my soul, and you see what came of it.”
Albina understood that their relationship would definitely become the subject of a scandal, and she would be accused of destroying a strong, prosperous family. According to her, she realized the ugliness of this role and, not wanting to hurt anyone, carefully hid her connection with the younger Meladze. Many times she tried to end the affair, but her feelings were stronger.
In 2004, she gave birth to a son, Kostya, and after a short vacation, she again appeared on stage as a soloist of VIA Gra. The “office romance” continued.
The singer rented an apartment for his beloved, took care of her and his son, but still paid a lot of attention to his daughters.
Valery’s ex-wife, Irina, says that the poorest time of their lives was also the happiest: “People go through fire and water, but almost never copper pipes.” The more successful the singer’s career developed, the more he moved away from his family. Irina felt this, but she was unable to change anything.
At the subconscious level, anxiety sparked: Albina is too nervous during meetings, withdraws, looks away, hides who the father of her child is. But decency and confidence in her husband did not allow suspicions to grow stronger.
Even after discovering her husband's unequivocal telephone correspondence, she hoped that everything could still be corrected. In 2006, at the MUZ TV awards ceremony, she had to go through an unpleasant situation: her husband clearly avoided her the whole evening, the song he performed also had a subtext that everyone understood.
Valery was torn between two women, each of whom was dear to him in their own way. At some point, he could not stand it and admitted to his wife that he loved Albina and they had a son.
From that moment on, Irina stopped “saving and building,” stood back and cared only about ensuring that discord in the family hurt the children as little as possible.
The last few years of marriage were painful for both spouses. However, the public's favorite was in no hurry to divorce. Some explained this by the fact that none of the participants in the drama were interested in the legal side of the matter. Less favorable ones mentioned a large fortune, which upon divorce was subject to division and clearly not in favor of the culprit of the process.
Perhaps both sides are right, but in 2014 the relationship between the Meladze spouses was officially terminated. Irina and the girls stayed in a luxurious house on Rublevkoe Highway; there is a car park and apartments for their growing daughters (although they were painfully worried about their parents’ breakup, they maintained their relationship with their father, largely thanks to Irina).
Valery noted more than once that both the main women of his life rose to the occasion in a situation of protracted confrontation: they did not provoke scandals, did not rush into a choice, and did not drag children into adult grievances.
After the divorce, the artist was still in no hurry to connect with Albina, who, by the way, was expecting her second child. The reason for this was the unfinished construction of a house for his young wife and sons. Only a few months later, the singer moved his new family to a spacious, stylish mansion in New Riga.
No matter what evil tongues say about Valeria, no one can blame him for the lack of care for his loved ones: he dedicated a Japanese-style house with an area of about 600 square meters to his second wife in a beautiful place in the Moscow region.
This time Albina decided to devote all her time to the baby. She easily changed expensive outfits to jeans and T-shirts, and no one would recognize the fatal beauty in the modest homely woman.
It is not known for certain when Valery Meladze’s second wedding took place. In 2020, in the photo from Anita Tsoi’s birthday, attentive fans noticed an engagement ring on Albina’s finger. The fact that the long-suffering lovers began to appear in public together from time to time became proof of their official marriage.
