The showbiz star was born in 1965 in Batumi, but later the Meladze family moved to Ukraine, where they settled in Nikolaev. Konstantin graduated from the Nikolaev Shipbuilding Institute. Together with his younger brother Valery, he participated in the institute group “April”. In 1989, their recordings came to the producer of the popular group “Dialogue”, Kim Breitburg, who invited the brothers to his group. Konstantin wrote the lyrics of the songs that Valery performed. Already in 1993, the guys left the group and set off to freely navigate the pop space.
It was during this period of his life that Konstantin met Yana Summ. The girl also lived in Nikolaev. Yana entered the Faculty of Law and successfully combined her studies with work as a fashion model, she even took part in the Miss Ukraine 92 competition.
They met in 1993, when Yana and her friend were returning from a disco and met an acquaintance who was walking with Konstantin. The guys invited the girls to the hostel, and Yana prophetically joked that after this Kostya was obliged to marry her. Already in 1994, the couple got married.
In 2000, daughter Alice was born, in 2004 - Leah, and a year later - son Valery. Konstantin was very busy at work; his family, who lived in Kyiv, rarely saw him at home, since he was constantly forced to fly to Moscow.
Secret life
At first, it seemed to Yana that the misfortune that had come to their home (their son’s illness) would only strengthen the family. In fact, Konstantin quickly began to move away from his wife. The most difficult test for the family was the creation of Meladze’s successful female musical group “VIA Gra”. The man could not get past it.
Yana was jealous of Konstantin’s beautiful and sexy female singers from the very first days of the group’s appearance. Moreover, journalists constantly attributed affairs with each of them to Meladze. The producer's wife at first tried to turn a blind eye to the emerging rumors. Konstantin himself also refuted them in every possible way and called them only “dirty gossip.”
As a result, to calm down, Yana decided to check her husband’s phone. This is how the girl found out that Konstantin had a mistress. She turned out to be one of the group members, Vera Brezhneva. When she found out that the romance between Konstantin and Vera did not stop after that, she decided to leave. The girl and three children remained to live in Kyiv, and Meladze left for Moscow.

Back in 2005, during Yana’s third pregnancy, problems arose in the couple’s relationship. Quarrels arose due to the fact that Konstantin was constantly accused of having affairs with members of VIA Gra. Yana even called Vera Brezhneva (it was her name that came up in rumors most often), but the singer assured that she and Konstantin had nothing.
Adding to the difficulties in the family was the fact that Meladze’s youngest child, Valery, was diagnosed with autism. Yana completely devoted herself to solving this problem. Only a couple of years later she decided to take up family life, or rather, she suggested that Konstantin get a divorce. He was surprised and tried to persuade his wife to think about it. The official divorce took place in 2013.

Konstantin always helped Yana financially, sending money to support the children. Vera was also born in Ukraine, in the city of Dneprodzerzhinsk. In 2001, at the age of 19, she gave birth to her first daughter, Sofia, from her common-law husband, Vitaly Voichenko.
Then Vera began her musical career, which developed rapidly. First, the spectacular blonde qualified for the VIA Gra group, where she performed from 2003 to 2007. Then Brezhneva decided to pursue a solo career.
While doing her creative work, Vera did not forget about her personal life. In 2006, she married Mikhail Kiperman, and three years later the couple had a daughter, Sarah. But the marriage turned out to be short-lived - they divorced in 2012.

Few people know that the famous producer and his ex-wife Yana Summ have a growing son, Valerian, who suffers from a severe form of autism. The baby's parents learned about the disease in 2009, when the boy was only three years old. Since then, the child’s mother has been constantly looking for new ways of treatment, attending special seminars and lectures. Yana decided to help other families with a similar problem and opened an ABA therapy (Applied behavior analysis) center in Kyiv to work with autists.
The right to live
“Until the age of 2.5, Valerian was an ordinary active and inquisitive child, like his peers,” recalls Yana Summ. – Crawled, ran, sang and even spoke. And we attributed small oddities to character traits. There were no signs of trouble. I remember how Kostya came home from work, the children ran to meet him. Dad threw them up one by one, and Valeryasha kept repeating: “And then Valera, and then Valera...” One day, while walking with her son past a memorial stand, one doctor told him: “The doctor was smart, he treated people.” Since then, he uttered this phrase every time he found himself in that place. And by the age of three, regression began, but we did not immediately understand it. They thought he was being capricious, but he was losing his acquired speech and communication skills and couldn’t even look after himself. Later they explained to us that Valeryanchik’s speech was unconscious. Absolutely all children under three years of age work like a voice recorder, repeating words after those around them.”

Hope therapy
Meladze Jr. underwent all medical examinations, but they did not clarify what caused the inhibition in development. Valerian was diagnosed with autism. Yana works with the boy every day, attracts specialists even from Israel, and exchanges experiences with mothers and fathers of the same children. At one of the parent meetings she met Igor Zgurov.

“It turned out that Igor sincerely wants to help not only his own, but also other people’s children,” Summ shares with StarHit. “We talked with him about creating a center for children with autism spectrum disorder. After listening to me, he offered financial support - he helped us a lot. If they told me ten years ago that I would do this with my easy-going nature, I wouldn’t have believed it.”

The Yana Summ Center works using the ABA therapy method, invented in America; this is one of the most effective methods of behavior correction. According to Summ, the education and development of autistic people is certainly important, but the main problem for such children is not speech or solving equations, but socialization.
“Communication and interaction with other people is almost impossible for boys and girls with autism spectrum disorder,” says the creator of the center. – But, imagine, a year and a half ago my son finally made a friend. Ivan and Valeryan have the same diagnoses, and the fact that the guys were able to establish communication is a real miracle. True, at first I had to work with Vanya a little, work on his behavior. Basically, he showed us where the crayfish spend the winter.”
