MusicTill and style: Lindemann’s album “F&M” as the most balanced work of the Rammstein vocalist

Biography

Till Lindemann was born on January 4, 1963.
He is a German musician, singer, composer, actor, poet and pyrotechnician. He is famous for being the leader of the German heavy rock band Rammstein. Lindeman has developed a unique stage style, and some of his lyrics are quite controversial. And, probably, thanks to this, Rammstein sold more than 45 million records, and five of their albums were awarded platinum status. Lindemann was born in Leipzig and grew up in the village of Wendisch-Rambow. The famous musician has a younger sister named Saskia. At the age of 11 he began attending a sports school. The parents' relationship did not work out, and in 1975 they finally broke up. The children lived with their father for some time, but he drank heavily, and in 1977 Lindeman began attending boarding school, where he received his education until 1980.

After success in swimming in 1978, Thiel was included in the list of athletes who were going to the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. But due to injury, young Lindeman had to leave the sport. He then apprenticed with a carpenter, worked as a gallery technician, weaved baskets and cut peat.

Who starred in the video Steh auf

The video for the track “Steh Auf” was filmed back in April of this year in Kazakhstan. “Steh auf” will be included in Lindemann’s new album “F&M”, which can be listened to in its entirety on November 22. In addition to Lindemann, Peter Stormare starred in the video.

Peter Stormare

Peter Stormare

Peter Stormare is a Swedish and American actor. One of the most sought-after Swedish actors of the 1980s and 1990s, whose work ranges from festival auteur films to Hollywood blockbusters. He also acts as a playwright, director and musician.

Peter Tegtgren

He starred as a drummer in the Steh auf video. Peter Tägtgren is a Swedish musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, music video director, leader of the death metal band Hypocrisy and creator of the industrial metal project Pain. In addition, Tägtgren created the black metal project The Abyss, and participated in the supergroups War and Lock Up. Tägtgren created the musical project Lindemann together with Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann.

Career

In 1986, Lindeman began playing drums in the experimental rock band First Arsch, which released their first collection in 1992. And in 1989, Lindeman played one song with another punk rock band Feeling B., which featured future members of Rammstein: Paul Landers, Christoph Schneider and Christian Lorenz.

In the 1990s, Lindemann wrote the lyrics himself and formed Rammstein, the group was named so in memory of the disaster at the Rammstein air show. Just 4 years later, the group wins a competition at a show in Berlin, which gives them the opportunity to record four professional tracks. And Lindeman moves to Berlin.

In the early years of the group's existence, Lindeman managed to get burns to his hands, feet and even ears due to the excessive use of pyrotechnics at his concerts. Group member Christoph Schneider once said that Thiel gets burned all the time, but he likes the pain. In September 1996, there was a fire at a concert, after which Lindeman trained to become a professional pyrotechnician and received a certificate.

Throughout the existence of the group, she left an ambiguous opinion about herself. For example, in 1999, after performances in Portland, Rammstein's music was blamed for the Columbine massacre. In November 2002, Lindemann's book was published, which consists of 54 poems collected by the group's pyrotechnician Gert Hof. He is also the author of the book Rammstein.

In 2011, Roadrunners Records ranked Till Lindemann number 50 on their list of the world's top rock frontmen. In 2013, Lindeman published his second book of poetry.

On his 52nd birthday, Thiel announced the creation of a new project called Lindeman with Peter Tegtgren. The group released their debut album Skillsin Pills in the summer of 2015.

Till Lindemann also managed to try his hand at cinema, playing in the film “Three X” with his band “Rammstein”.

The meaning of the clip Steh auf LINDEMANN

The first viewing leaves a rather mixed impression. The motive and vocals are quite in the style of Till Lindemann. By the way the main location - the stage - is constantly blurred and distorted, it becomes clear that this is unreal. The same is said by the suspicious eyes of the drummer, looking at the unfolding events with notes of pure madness.

The video is dominated by bright colors and dynamism. In contrast, we have bitterness and pain that permeates the vocals. To better understand LINDEMANN's idea, you need to read the translation of the song. The text is based on the fact that there is a holiday, a circus, an amusement park around. This song is sung by an active child who wants to try all the rides and have fun. He asks to buy goodies and take him to interesting places. This does not happen, because the one to whom the child turns is lying. Therefore, he asks: “Get up!” When this line is repeated at the end of the third verse, we finally learn who the main character is talking to. He shouts: “Get up, mom!” The fact is that Till Lindemann’s own mother uses a wheelchair. This song expresses the singer’s experiences, shows his emotional wounds, pain for a loved one and inability to change anything. Perhaps this madness in the video reflects the inner chaos and confusion of the performer.

One version is based on the fact that the events of the video take place under the influence of the drummer’s drug intoxication. He sees all these locations and band members who don’t know how to play instruments, interfere with each other, or even disappear into thin air. Then we see a red room, the same drummer (he remained in the same position, continues to play) and two identical people who imitate each other’s actions, trying to maim and drown. These people are aspects of the same personality. Remember yourself. You probably argue with yourself from time to time, with the good side and the bad side fighting within you. One pulls you to the bottom, into the darkness, and the other tries with all its might to pull you into the light. It is important to note that the drummer is sitting on the toilet. That is, he catches all these hallucinations in an ordinary bathroom.

At the end of the clip, suspicions or realization come to him that this disorder in his head is precisely because of drugs. They destroy his life and psyche, just like those people on horses who break into the red room and destroy one of the worlds of the hallucination.

At the end, one of the members of the imaginary group is killed and disappears from the scene. The drummer closes his eyes. Most likely he is trying to come to his senses.

Personal life and hobbies

Today Lindeman is 55 years old. His height is 184 cm. Lindeman has children. The first child, daughter Nele, was born in 1985, and she has already given him a grandson. Linderman's second child is a daughter named Maria Louise. The musician divorced her mother, Anya Keseling, in 1997, after living with her for 12 years.

In his interviews, Lindemann repeatedly noted that he felt a strong attachment to the traditions of East Germany. And he sadly notes that there is no more authenticity. Lindemann also says that he hates noise, and that he often goes on vacation to the village between Schwerin and Wismar. Lindeman's favorite bands are Deep Purple, Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath, as well as performers Marilyn Manson and Chris Isaac. Lindeman is a convinced atheist.

An interesting fact is that in Russian schools, as in some Scandinavian countries, Rammstein texts are used in the German language school curriculum. It is noteworthy that Lindeman does not advise young musicians today to start their careers with rock bands. According to Thiel, there is no money to be made from this.

For some reason, the 75th anniversary of the Victory was added to the presentation.

It turns out that in 2020, people on the Internet care that some girls act in porn. Russian actresses from Till Lindemann's latest video are deanonymized on the Internet and harassed - the persecution is headed by "Dvach" and "Men's State".

On February 14, Rammstein vocalist and independent musician Lindemann published a video for the song “Till the End” from his new side project Na Chui. The video was so explicit that it was posted not on YouTube, but on one of the porn sites (you can watch it using the link - attention, strictly 18+).

As part of the creative concept, a group of girls have sex with each other and with Lindemann; among the actresses there are several residents of St. Petersburg. They say that the video was also filmed there, at the Kempinski Hotel. Anonymous people from “Dvach” began to look for the exposed Russian ladies, publish links to their contacts and call for harassment.

They started writing to the girls, mocking them, blackmailing them and threatening them with violence. According to information, harassed actresses, as a rule, delete their accounts.

Activists of the “Male State”, an organization of degenerates permitted in Russia, joined the persecution. The leader of the movement, Vladislav Pozdnyakov, called on MG members to harass actresses and allegedly wrote to some of the ladies himself. One of the victims stated that Pozdnyakov contacted her and said that she “does not even imagine his resources and capabilities.”

Pozdnyakov and his supporters are not satisfied with the fact that Russian girls copulate on camera, and even sleep with a German in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory - the activist allegedly stated this on one of the streams. According to media reports, the leader said that he would not feel sorry “if there is a lone nationalist in Russia who will kill them.”

Meduza sent a request to Roskomnadzor with a request to study the story from the perspective of the issue of personal data leakage. The department has not yet responded to the publication’s request.
