Anya was born in a Moscow maternity hospital on March 1, 1980. Dad, Semenovich Grigory Timofeevich, worked as the director of a fur studio. Mom, Semenovich Tatyana Dmitrievna, worked as an economist. In 1986, Anya had a younger brother, Kirill.
When the baby was only two years old, doctors diagnosed her with rheumatoid arthritis, and the girl spent six months in the hospital. Mom then quit her main job and got a job at the clinic where Anya was hospitalized, as a cleaner and a nurse, so that she could at least somehow see her daughter. After all, Anya was put in the infectious diseases department, and parents were forbidden to come there and visit their children. Upon discharge, doctors advised the parents to send their daughter to some winter sport. And at the age of three, dad brought Anya Semenovich to the figure skating section.
In addition to sports, the girl was immediately enrolled in a dance and music school. But Anya still achieved the best results in figure skating.
Children of Anna Semenovich
Anna Semenovich's children have not yet been born, because the girl has not found a guy with whom she is ready to give birth to babies. By the way, many evil tongues directly link the absence of children with a woman’s sports career, since the load on the pelvis in figure skating is incredible.
Anna Semenovich's lack of children is often associated with hormonal problems, which allegedly provoke rapid breast growth. The woman denies this kind of problem, pointing out that the object of her pride was inherited from her mother and grandmother.
The actress, singer and TV presenter does not have children yet, since she has not yet found the one and only beloved who will be close to her in spirit, hobbies and will be able to share her nomadic life. Anna clarifies that the father of her future children should be a real prince on a white horse: a loving, gentle, caring and simply incredible daddy who will touchingly take care of his heirs.
By the way, Anna is not at all against a large and friendly family with several kids, since she remembers how her brother took care of her, although he was much younger than his sister.
School and sports
Thanks to her success in sports, Semenovich began to participate in competitions and fly abroad at an early age. Of course, she brought herself fashionable handbags and outfits from there. And already at such a young age I recognized envy, anger and a bad attitude. The girls from the class did not like her for this, they never invited her to go out together and did not invite her into the general company.
Anya was unable to find a common language with her classmates; during her studies, Semenovich changed five schools. True, it never came to a fight, Anya could always fight back, and she had friends from sports, with good physical characteristics. So her classmates were simply not friends with her, but they did not call her names or offend her.
Her classmates still didn’t like the fact that the directors of the schools where Anya studied dismissed her from her first lessons. She always arrived at school by the second period. But the girls and boys did not understand that Semenovich at this time was not sleeping at home in a warm bed, but from 6 in the morning he was already training on the ice. Moreover, the skating rink was not located at all close to the house. A little girl with skates in her hands walked along the morning streets of Moscow, then rode a bus, then took the metro. Having finished the training, I walked the same way to return home and run to school.
There were also problems with studying, training took up a lot of time, and there was no energy left for lessons. Anya didn’t like chemistry most of all, but the teacher was very good and pulled the girl through. But in algebra and geometry, the teacher, creepy and evil, always failed Semenovich in tests and exams, despite the fact that the girl tried very hard and even studied additionally in these subjects with a tutor.
Discotheques and dancing were completely out of the question. What kind of parties are there if you have to be at training at 7 am? But Semenovich never regretted for a second that she devoted so much time to sports as a child. Figure skating strengthened her character and gave her qualities such as determination and hard work.
After graduating from school, Anna entered the Moscow State Academy of Physical Education. Semenovich trained with Honored Trainer of the USSR Elena Chaikovskaya, Honored Trainers of Russia Natalya Linichuk and Gennady Karponosov.
She performed in dance pairs; Anya’s partners at different times were Maxim Kachanov, Vladimir Fedorov, Roman Kostomarov, Denis Samokhin.
Anya has become a prize-winner of international competitions many times. Their duet with Roman Kostomarov was especially successful; in 2000 they took second place in the Russian Championship and were considered the second strongest couple in the country after the Averbukh-Lobachev duet. In the same year, at the European Championships in Austria, Anya and Roma took 10th place, and at the World Championships in France, 13th.
Semenovich has the title of Master of Sports of the Russian Federation of international class in figure skating. But her future fate was determined by a knee injury. The operated meniscus did not give any hope for successful performance in this sport.
Anya was 20 years old when she left training. I tried my best to skate with an injured knee, constantly received injections, hid my tears from the coach, but the pain became more and more intense. The athlete understood that with such an injury she would no longer be able to achieve any results in sports. For the first six months after stopping training, Semenovich was in a state of shock. It turned out that there was nothing else in her life except figure skating.
